Very lovely setting & lots of menu choices for vegan and gluten free. Celiac safe! I am very sensitive to gluten cross-contact and had no symptoms after eating here, just a full belly. Buy a t-shirt too!
I really like the feel of Chimera. Lots of natural light, good seating, the music is enjoyable. Everyone working is friendly and there's a solid amount of food and drink to choose from, including vegan and gluten free options. Nice place!
We frequently dine at this establishment as a family, usually once a week. The food is consistently excellent, arriving promptly and prepared to perfection. Our family's favorite dish is the chicken and rice with queso. Although we have tried other delicious dishes, we always return to this classic. Their salsa is one of my favorites. It's important to note that they clearly label gluten-free items on their menu, making it easy for customers to make informed choices. While they do not operate a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, there is a risk of cross-contamination. However, as someone with severe allergies to meat, gluten, and vegetables, I have never had any issues dining here. This establishment is undoubtedly one of our top two dining choices for this reason. Another bonus portion of sizes is generous as well.
I ordered my lunch to go, went in and picked it up and when I did I asked them if I needed to request gluten-friendly chips or whether or not they were all that way. They explained to me that I would need to request them and they were more than willing to replace my chips for me with some more gluten-friendly ones. They then reviewed my lunch order and showed me that one of the items I chose was not gluten friendly( a sauce I had chosen). Not only did they just replace everything without being upset with me or making me pay for it, they were very polite! Thank you for saving me from being very very ill! I will definitely be back. Trisha and her team ARE THE BEST!
I love this place!!! I eat delicious food AND I feed hungry children in developing countries. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Plus, I have Celiac Disease—it’s a safe place for me to eat!! Justine was so helpful and made sure everyone was aware of my allergy. They have a full dedicated fryer for their corn tortilla, so I actually get chips and salsa—a rarity for me! I was sooo excited!
The restaurant itself doesn’t appear to be consistently cleaned, likely due to understaffing. They run out of ingredients pretty frequently. I notice this at almost all Chipotle locations. On the line it is normally messy and the food temps are all over the place, sometimes I get really hot protein/rice but other times it’s lukewarm. The person working the line normally gives an “I want to get this over with” attitude in the sense that they will rush you through your order. If it were busy I’d understand 100% but I normally go around 8pm and it isn’t like that at all.
I will say the cashier is always pretty nice at this location. I think her name is Terry, or Terrie. We always have a nice conversation. At any other location they just say “it’s ready” (to pay). That’s part of the reason why I come back to this particular location. However, I think most of its issues can be solved through having more staff.
Spent $12.37 on a chicken bowl with white rice, green salsa, corn salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce & guac.
Also if you have issues with gluten (celiac) or other sensitivities, stay away from lettuce and cheese. They are 100% cross contaminated from the tortillas.
This place was a blessing to me. we are waiting for our now place to be ready & staying at a hotel. I have food allergies & have to cook at home.
I went 2 days without food, In search of gluten free, soy free food. .
My son went to Chipotle for me & told one of the server, my dietary needs.
He said she changed the spoons & everything as to not cross contaminate my food.
I wish he would've gotten her name, so I can thank her. You have no idea.. what it meant to actually find something that, I can eat & it was DELICIOUS, I will definitely be back.
Honestly, I don't know what to say other than this has been the worst service at a Cherry Street establishment I've ever experienced. I ordered the ceviche, which was fine as far taste goes, very generic, whatever. As far as I can tell the server completely forgot to ring in my meal, so the other seven people at our table got their fajitas, enchiladas and tamales at the same time but I had to wait an additional 10 plus minutes for the kitchen to push out a pre-made, served-cold dish. I assume the server couldn't trust the kitchen to put out an appetizer as a meal on time and read the ticket properly? I worked as a server and bartender for a decade, I just honestly can't fathom what happened tonight because she didn't seem like she was in the weeds? Other members of the table had their drinks completely forgotten and didn't like their food. I tried their order of steak fajitas and it was flavorless, great cut of beef, just completely unseasoned and zero spice. The ceviche I ordered was the exact ceviche I get at Senor Tequila, good but I think I would rather Senor Tequila given everything else. Honestly the only thing to recommend this place were the mojitos and the strawberry margaritas, which the server couldn't rememberto ring in, so. The sangria was sub-par.
I won't be bringing my husband here with his gluten allergy, absolutely wouldn't trust this place to respect cross contamination protocols.
I really like the food and service here. Great selection of food, willing to mix a few things if you have specific wants, choices on tortillas, beef and chicken grilled just right. Vegetarian dishes also available. Don't know about total vegan or gluten free.
Bar service is Great!
Good was excellent, a lot of margaritas to choose from. Almost everything on the menu is naturally gluten free. Best Mexican food in Tulsa that I’ve had.
I feel confident that nobody goes to TDF for the atmosphere. You go because you want a quality bit of Mexican comfort food. Everyone has their own opinions on the best Mexican food and such but if you haven't given them a shot, I think you probably should. I get takeaway burritos and tacos for the family. (PS) They are good with gluten free orders too.
The food here is delicious, and they have great gluten-free options. I really enjoy the marinated chicken breast and the tacos. The cream cheese queso is a must-try, and my husband loves their enchiladas. The burritos are huge and delicious. I've been a regular customer for many years, and I appreciate their pet-friendly patio.
We visited Uncle Julio's for the first time today and were very impressed! The only reason I gave the food a 4 vs a 5 is because I'm gluten free and there isn't a specific gluten free menu. The server did explain that they are a "scratch kitchen" and make everything from scratch, so it should be a little easier for them to notate on the menu those items that are gluten free or that could be modified to be gf. Our server was very nice, great service and did his best with helping me choose my lunch. One of the hostesses mentioned they are "gluten friendly" which actually isn't a thing but she definitely thought it was bc she repeated it a second time later in our visit. The GM, Davin Walker, was on site. He stopped by our table to check on us, refilled our drinks, and even brought us complimentary sopapillas (that my non-gf husband enjoyed)! The chips & salsa were delicious as was the house guacamole. I ordered two crispy tacos with refried beans - all was delicious. Hubs had the fish tacos and he said they were delicious with large pieces of fish. Overall, it was worth it and we will go back. The GM did say that they will be doing a menu revamp in October that will include a gf dessert. Hopefully the revamped menu will include gf notations.
It used to be so good until.they make alot of changes in menu.. prices are very high, food quality is not the same Food toke forever to arrive The waitress was attentive but when is was time for the food someone else brought it and bring the wrong items I asked for shrimp tacos and got beef tacos and also corn tortillas instead of flour . The lady that brought the food said all the tacos we have are flour when I know is not bc there is gluten free section with an attitude. The employee there seem burned out. The supervisor or manager that day white male guy seem very stress and rude to his staff raised his voice to the other older guy was was clea in tables that's definitely not the atmosphere I want to enjoy any meals. Moreover not kids friendly alot I have a toddler and he almost got burn when the plates were put down ..
They did not charged me at the end for the taco plate however I did not enjoy the experience at all . I don't think I want to return to such a place 😕
Good food, good service (a bit slow) and a decent atmosphere. The options, while limited, were good. The waitress was knowledgeable when it came to gluten free options.
GREAT food, over the top margaritas, and some vegetarian and gluten free options. Also very generous proportions so was a perfect shareable meal. We had a really bad server, but there was another waitress that stepped up and made everything great. It seemed several people were confused about paying, but there's a clear option on the receipt to scan and pay via your phone and a QR code, super easy and convenient.
