Upon arrival to our table, my side of the seat was dirty and I had to use the napkin to clean it off. Also, my glass and cutlery were also not clean and needed to be replaced. The menu should have been cleaned as well, it was sticky and I had to wash my hands after ordering. Cleaning and disinfecting as stated as the restaurants protocols should actually be practiced. My sister and I ordered the cajun salmon, it was delicious, however the protion sizes were so small we left the restaurant hungry and had to get a snack from elsewhere. The 9oz steak that my friend got was the perfect portion. For the amount we paid for salmon, it was not worth the cost. Something to consider would be having a separate menu for gluten free items and those which can be altered to gluten free. It was a bit of an annoyance having to ask the server and them having to go back and ask the kitchen. This would help the servers as well. The environment was pleasant minus these hiccups. I would give a separate 5 stars to our server Gaston, he was absolutely lovely, easy to talk to, a great personality.

My wife is gluten-free. They had several options and the food was delicious! The atmosphere is very nice, although the music a bit loud. The server, however, struggled to remember things. She forgot to bring us the gluten-free soya sauce until after the first dish was done. She did not refill our drinks without us asking, and did not check back after our first bites. She forgot to bring us another bowl of rice and so our food got cold. She quickly responded by offering two free coupons for lettuce wraps, yet we are travellers who don’t live here. So she took them back and did not offer any other compensation. We even ordered a dessert, which she also did not comp. My wife did still tip her in spite of this.

I have a gluten intolerance and ordered the penne primavera with gluten free fussili instead of penne. I spoke with the manager over the phone to ensure they were aware of my allergy. My fiancé picked up the order and again confirmed that it was made with gluten free pasta. When he got home and we opened up the package I saw it was made with regular penne which is not gluten free. I called and spoke to the manager and she confirmed that the order was entered in correctly, the kitchen just didn’t read it. This is extremely irresponsible as allergies need to be taken seriously. I’ve ordered from here before so I know what their gluten free pasta looks like but someone else may have just assumed it was gluten free and eaten it. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the manager did send out a new order, but they put my health at risk by sending me food I informed them I’m allergic to. I think I should have been offered something, like a gift card, to make up for the irresponsibility of sending me food I’m allergic to and the inconvenience of having to wait an additional 30 minutes for my food. I understand it was Mother’s Day and they may have been busy but there is no excuse for make errors when it comes to allergies. I don’t think I’ll be back.
