The service is friendly, the food is delicious, and the selection of gluten-free dishes is extensive. I'm very happy to have found this pizzeria in Regensburg.
We've been here many times. Super friendly service. Delicious food, and the gluten-free selection was a huge plus for us. The gluten-free pizza is very good. Very child-friendly. Beautiful restaurant. The best espresso for miles around. We love it there. It's always a bit of a vacation for us.
Papageno - a classic in Regensburg that will satisfy everyone.
It is definitely advisable to reserve in advance here.
Papageno is a very good Italian restaurant where every person will find the right dish. From starters to desserts, everything is absolutely delicious, and the waiters are friendly and accommodating. The high, old ceilings, the view into the kitchen and the rustic furnishings make you feel right at home.
The highlight: There are vegan and gluten-free options!
The breakfast is amazing, and the staff are very, very nice.
You should make a reservation in advance, though, otherwise it can be difficult. At least during the regular breakfast hours. Otherwise, I don't know personally.
There were six of us, and with a reservation, it wasn't a problem. Without it, we definitely wouldn't have gotten anything.
They also have gluten-free bread/breakfast.
Great cafe for breakfast & brunch!
You can taste the fresh ingredients and attention to detail in all dishes.
When we were there for breakfast, almost every table was occupied. Due to the many visitors and the small area, it was relatively loud but still bearable.
The service was very nice and attentive. The drinks and food came to the table quickly.
Particularly good: Breads are also available gluten-free and there is a wide selection of alternatives for milk drinks: oats, almonds, coconut.
Overall, highly recommended!
Modern restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area!
The staff is really really nice and takes care of every guest. I was thrilled 👍🏼
Unfortunately there was no allergen list - but the dish was discussed with the chef.
There is only one point deducted because I found the price for the bowl (€16) a bit too high. Unfortunately there were only two shrimps and two mini pieces of salmon on the skewer...
The homemade iced tea is highly recommended!!
Gluten-free no problem!
I had a delicious vegan, gluten-free bowl, plus a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Another plus is that they operate sustainably. It's a bit hidden away, but definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful restaurant with very friendly service. Gluten-free food was no problem, the staff knew their stuff and fulfilled all requests. There was even extra gluten-free soy sauce! Gladly again!
Excellent service. Celiac friendly because everyone knows their place very well and has a lot to choose from.
The burger 🍔 was a dream. We'll definitely be back ♡
Impressive sushi and food
It's so popular that you have to be lucky to get a spot in the evening.
It is very classy and the service is quick, polite and tries to fulfill all wishes. (Not everyone has gluten-free soy sauce, so “try it”) 😅
The atmosphere is really luxurious. The cocktails are REMARKABLY DELICIOUS. Especially the martinis are a dream!
And the sushi 🍣, incomparable.
Give it a try, it's worth it. 💎
The menu offers plenty of Spanish tapas and drink options, unfortunately they do not have gluten free options as we had previously read on Trip Advisor. The water they offer is a reused bottle as can be seen in the pictures for 4,90€... The tapas were good, the croquettes looked homemade and the aioli was good but the patatas bravas could be better. The experience was fine but could be improved as the treatment was not too good.
Absolutely not recommended. The experience was subterranean. We came to the restaurant in a good mood and left very disappointed.
The cellar had not shown us the daily menu, perhaps this is only selected for large groups. Well then for us it's just a matter of ordering a la carte as standard.
We had previously found out online whether there were gluten-free options for my mother-in-law. She has a gluten and lactose allergy. Hence the research to make sure there is something for you. They offer every type of pasta gluten-free online.
Unfortunately, that is far from the case. After we found something for ourselves, my mother-in-law wanted to order and they said they only had one type of gluten-free pasta “spaghetti”.
After we asked what he could recommend and there was no milk or cream, there was no answer: you could order anything from the menu, you could do anything. When she asked if she could just have pasta with tomato sauce, the waiter told her to choose something from the menu. Then she decided on the pasta with pumpkin. The food was inedible. The pasta was still hard and just threw pumpkin into it. Salty and sticky at the same time. She really couldn't eat it. We also tried it, which was really a shame. The waiter came by our table several times and never once asked if there was anything he could do. He didn't care at all. My meal, the aubergine gratinated, was completely over salted. The service beneath everything. In the end I told the other waiter, but he couldn't save the experience. The meal was fully charged with 2 euros on top for the gluten-free pasta. She knows it's not easy to always find something that suits her, but when it's offered online and she's otherwise completely open, the experience was very bad. We won't be coming back and won't recommend it to anyone. There are definitely better restaurants in Regensburg!
