When does this place ever get it wrong? As a celiac, I was thrilled to have so many gluten free options. I’m writing this review after having already made quite a few visits, but none of them deserved fewer than 5 stars. I hope for Spinato’s to open a great many more locations, and regularly make this a go-to whenever I’m in the area.
The cucumber lemonade was incredibly refreshing after a long summer day in a hot worksite. There were many delicious options and plenty of gluten-free substitutions available. The Turkey panini and Brussels salad were perfect. I will definitely be back when I'm in town again for work - I want to try the entire bruschetta menu!
Clockwork Pizza is one of those rare gems where the menu isn't just food—it’s a statement. You can tell this place was built by people who care about what they’re serving. Their menu is a solid balance of classic comfort and creative flair, with enough customizable options to make both a meat-lover and a gluten-free eater feel like royalty.
What stood out to me most? The gluten-free crust. Most spots throw it on the menu just to check a box, but here—it holds its own. It’s flavorful, crisp, and doesn’t feel like a compromise. That tells me they put thought into sourcing and execution.
The ingredients are fresh, the sauces are bold without being overpowering, and the toppings are generous. You’re not getting short-changed here. Whether you’re building your own pizza or trying one of their signature styles, you can taste the intention behind every bite.
Service? Impeccable. They’re fast, friendly, and they actually know their menu. You ask a question—they have an answer. And the atmosphere is casual but clean. It’s the kind of place you can take a date, a kid, or just yourself when you need a slice of peace.
Bottom line—Clockwork Pizza gets it. They respect their craft, respect their customers, and it shows in every detail. Easily one of the best pizza spots in Tempe.
We went there for our first time because we were craving pizza and they were open late. They have a large menu, reasonable prices and specials, clean eating area, we played Janga they had available while we waited for our food to come up and the best part was all the staff were awesome. Very polite, friendly, and super responsive.
Mike had a pizza, wing, and soda special and I had a calzone the size of my head. We would recommend for your pizza cravings.
They have specials for 55+ on Wednesdays and deals on wings for football on Sundays. They also seem to do a lot of sports team fundraising for local teams. They had several kinds of crust for pizzas, including gluten free and keto.
Love board and brew. First time eating at the restaurant I usually order door dash. They have gluten free tortillas and I love the freshness of their ingredients.
ive been a shady park advocate since before 2020. as someone with celiac this was my favorite place to get delicious ramen without harming myself, enjoy outdoor seating or maybe catch a show. coming now in 2025, everything has changed for the worse. while service remains one of the best things about shady, there are limited gluten free options with no more ramen—while still offering gluten free noodles just to not have any broth, protein, or vegetables to eat it with since they bathe everything in soy sauce. i was given overcooked, on the tail end of expiring edamame. im sad this place is no longer a place i can come to.
The GF crepes were good but the prize for a GF crepe is outrageous. The regular Nutella crepe is $9.99, the GF costs $10 more ($19.99) which in my 30 years of being celiac I have never experienced such a big prize difference for a gluten free option. It’s ridiculous and unacceptable.
If you're looking for a GF option, I usually take the hamburger without bun (they wrap it in lettuce), the fries are safe, they cook everything aside when you told them you have a gluten allergy or celiac

I love Venezia's, especially because of the delicious gluten free crust here. However, the last time I picked up from this location my pizza was cold, and I picked it up before the scheduled time. The box wasn't even warm like usual when I picked it up. Was disappointing. I gave it a 4 because I have had this in the past. The last visit was subpar.
yet again another place with gluten free options that are CONSTANTLY out of stock. I swear every time I place an order, they notify me that they are out of their gluten free dough. IMAGINE a pizza place running out of dough. I wish they would respect their GF customers enough to be consistent. I’m SO over this trend across the restaurant industry. Do better.
Dinner at Society was an absolute delight from start to finish! What truly elevated the evening was the impeccable service provided by our server, Ann. Her attention to detail and warm, professional demeanor set the tone for a flawless dining experience. She went above and beyond—expertly guiding a gluten-free guest through the menu with confidence and care, and offering thoughtful, off-the-beaten-path suggestions that we might have missed otherwise.
The culinary highlights were plentiful. We kicked things off with the house Signature Mule and two outstanding appetizers: the rich, savory pork belly and the indulgent bacon-wrapped dates—both beautifully balanced in flavor and presentation. For mains, the fresh pasta dishes were standouts, especially the vibrant Pesto Penne and the earthy, aromatic Mushroom Truffle pasta. A surprising favorite was the duck meatloaf—an inventive twist on a classic that was both hearty and refined.
To end the meal on a high note, we enjoyed a round of expertly crafted espresso drinks alongside their show-stopping icebox lime cake—a refreshing and memorable finish.
Society delivers not just on flavor, but on experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking elevated comfort food with creative flair and exceptional service.
Hands down the best Acai bowl I've ever had! The Acai base is SO much more unique than any other bowl shop I've been to, and their gluten free cookies are INCREDIBLE!!! 10/10 would try again!
Met a friend for happy hour. Not too impressed with the bar service. They were not busy, but just busy talking to each other.
Brussel sprouts modified with no dairy were good. Kinda soggy. A gluten free bun fell apart while trying to eat.
Burger was good, cooked medium and added bacon

The softest ice cream ever the cookie was just right and having seen a gluten-free option made me so happy for those that can't eat gluten kudos to them
Wonderful food and delicious beer! I had the brewers pub...like a French dip. It was so delicious. The meat was tender and juicy and the jus had great flavor. I had a WOW beer that was crisp and fresh. My husband had the chicken tenders and fries. It was a wonderful piece of chicken with great breading and the fries were deliciously crisp. He had the WOW light in a can and liked that mix w lemonade. My daughter who is gluten intolerant had the chicken enchiladas. They had great flavor with delicious shredded chicken. She had the suace on the side which was good for her because it was a bit spicy. The rice and beans were amazing too, great flavor!
Service was lacking, the server did the bare minimum. The brisket fajita bowl was really tasty and I loved the drinks in the mason jars. They have a separate gluten free menu with quite a few options.
We had absolutely great food, but suffered from management issues. We are used to great, high quality food in Chicago and we are giving it high marks for food. However, we arrived after the rush at 8:30pm to long delays with table service, bar service and it took so long to give our order that they had run out of 3 of our top entree choices. The waitress seemed stressed and was clearly conflicted between being personable and getting things done - not her fault. In the end we had a nice server and great food, a beautiful interior (it was dark so no view), but nothing else was to the same standards as the food. Chicago prices as well. (Hotel and resort restaurants are never as good as independently owned ones, btw). They were also REALLY fantastic for supporting gluten free dining
This is actually a 4.5 star review. There are a few spots for handicap parking in front but no (working) automatic doors. There are a few gluten-friendly options but you will (as always) run the risk of cross-contamination. There are no gluten-friendly desserts unless you want a milkshake.
You will have more food options inside than on the drive-thru menu. I noticed when ordering online (on the Portilllos website) the full menu was not available either so I forced myself to go to the location.
My favorite is the Italian beef and sausage bowl with sweet peppers and cheese. Pair that with a fry order and you're good to go! I don't drink soda so I have no input on taste of the fountain drinks. Just know they DO NOT have sweet tea at this location.
These are minor inconveniences but they add up.
Overall, the food is very decent, most of your crew will find something to eat, even with dietary restrictions.
I'll definitely be back, despite it being a good 25 minute drive.
I had an amazing experience at Sushi 101! The sushi was incredibly delicious and fresh, with unique and creative rolls that blew me away. But what really made my visit stand out was the exceptional service from the staff. They were so helpful and accommodating, especially when it came to my gluten-free diet. They took the time to explain which options were safe for me to eat and even offered to modify certain dishes to suit my needs. I felt so well taken care of and appreciated their attention to detail. Can't wait to come back!
Came in at midnight...Desiree was nothing but GREAT with customer service & holding it down with the crazy ladies that came in acting a fool after us. She deserves a raise after all that and on top I have celiac disease... the cook made my food SO DELICIOUS I couldn't even believe it at a Dennys but I'll be back for sure 😁 the two people working 6/23 at midnight need a raise or something but my goodness 100% with everything from the customer service to the food 🥰
Staff is super attentive and friendly. Salmon board presentation was way above the norm and the quality of the salmon was superb. They also accommodated no gluten. We also were listening to fabulous acoustic guitar music. Highly recommend!!
Oh heck yeah! Awesome tenders! Best ever!
I had a low expectation when I came in. $13 for three wings I was skeptical. But these are huge! I grew-up & lived in and near Louisiana, so I love HOT. I got the “Spicy” wings and I ordered one extra wing at the hotter level. There was not much difference. But the habanero taste is fantastic and plenty of heat. It’s not long lasting so don’t panic.
But if you get the Houston We have a Problem, IDK. You might have a problem. Only try that if your a gluten for punishment. Although I do feel that $4 for one extra wing was too much. You can do a “Add-on” for two dollars and making worthwhile. It’s way better than Nashville hot!! They also have a nice selection of beer. I love this place! Totally impressed! My only complaint is, if you’re going to have pay for sauces, then give me my dang sauce! Don’t make me ask for it!
There are plenty of TV’s scattered around to watch sports! There is no bad view. Huge bonus! Also nice outdoor seating area. Another big bonus.
Such a fun place to hang out with friends, eat, and play games. The food is pretty good; not amazing. But they do have plenty of gluten free options, including GF pizza crust, which we appreciated. If you're looking for something different to do with family and friends then this is a great place to check out.
03/05/21- CELIAC REVIEW. I went for breakfast with a friend. The restaurant appeared clean with proper Covid-19 plastic barriers between the registers & guests. Tables had "sanitized for your safety" cards on them. Oh, & outside there were marks taped off at 6 foot intervals for when the lines got long. All of the employees were wearing filtered masks. I did not visit the restrooms. The wait for service was a tad on the longer side considering my friend & I were only sharing the room with a another table of 4. Our server came to ask about drinks & if we were ready to order at the same time; would have liked to get our drinks 5 minutes earlier at least. I have celiac disease (this means I cannot ingest any wheat, barley, rye, or derivates thereof) so have a restrictive diet when eating out. Denny's has a decent enough selection for savory items, but they do not offer things such as waffles, pancakes, or french toast (like IHOP does). Meats, eggs, veggies & potatoes can be prepared gluten-friendly. They do have a decent gluten free English muffin, but you need to ask for either a non-gluten dedicated toaster or have your English muffin wrapped in foil. I am also Pescatarian (don't eat land or air meat) so I chose a vegetarian omelette with hash browns & a side of blue cheese dressing. The food came out quickly enough but they forgot my dressing. Per pandemic protocols, ketchup & Tabasco sauces were brought to us upon request in little plastic cups; no bottles on the tables. The food was warm. I have to say, though, the omelettes were just okay, not great. Veggies were grilled with a bit too much oil & crammed into a very simple scrambled-&-then-fried egg that was merely folded in half. The egg was a tad rubbery as well & I'm not sure how they managed that. The veggies (peppers, spinach, onion, mushroom) was all pretty tasty without being over or under cooked. My hash browns were a bit on the oily side, but well cooked, while my friend's were too oily & burnt half to a crisp (yuck). Our coffee (black) & diet Coke were just fine. So I'd say that I'm really not impressed with this Denny's & would likely try to find an IHOP or Village Inn instead next time. It's not a "bad" place, just not my favorite considering my particular food choices & their quality.
