The gluten free treats were some of the best I've ever had. The first day I had a gluten free brownie bite and it was so delicious I went back the next day to have it again
But alas! It was different treats! Luckily there was a gluten free carrot cake instead. It was delicious. Light and fluffy and so pretty! There were two gluten free breads to eat as well. The sourdough was amazing. The bun was crumbly and fell apart everywhere so I would recommend not getting it.
The service was also excellent. Very kind and friendly staff :)
Absolutely amazing! Even going as Vegan and Vegan with a gluten intolerance- they have a full gluten free menu, a full vegetarian/vegan menu - and modifications are more than welcome
Great range including vegetarian & gluten free options, absolutely delicious huge portion meal, excellent cocktails, wonderful service, plus free WiFi!
This was my 116th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon.
Huge chain coffee shop in town. Super comfortable seating. It's very quiet in here too.
I paid $5.52 for a gluten free Belgian brownie. I don't know if I would ever pay that much money for any brownie again (regardless of its EU origins).
Staff was relatively friendly. Employees seem to like talking to each other. That's fine. They're young.
Overall, I enjoyed my Belgian brownie and my visit at Blenz on Anderson Way. Oh, and free wifi.
116 eateries down in Vernon; 40ish to go !
I’m writing this review after a shockingly disappointing experience. My mother-in-law, who has a severe gluten allergy, ordered a dish labeled as “gluten-free” on the menu. Naturally, we trusted the menu as presented—only to discover afterward that this restaurant hides the crucial detail that these dishes are only gluten-free upon special request, buried in the fine print.
This is unacceptable in today’s dining landscape, where “gluten-free” menus are expected to clearly and accurately cater to dietary restrictions and health needs. This oversight put my mother-in-law’s health at serious risk, which is utterly inexcusable.
When we raised the issue with our server and later the manager, their responses were defensive and dismissive. They argued that we should have read the fine print, as though a customer’s life should depend on scrutinizing hidden disclaimers. To add insult to injury, they even debated whether they should charge us for the meal they served her—despite their clear negligence.
What made the situation even worse was the manager’s unprofessional behavior. When I mentioned that I knew the restaurant’s owners, she dismissively stated, “I’m not threatened by you.” This level of hostility and arrogance, especially in response to a legitimate complaint about a life-threatening issue, is both shocking and unacceptable.
This level of carelessness and lack of accountability is appalling. Restaurants must take dietary restrictions seriously, and hiding critical information in fine print is irresponsible and dangerous. We won’t be returning, and I encourage anyone with dietary restrictions to think twice before dining here.
Please, if your server is Dillion, or your manager is Siman, double check your meals for allergy compliance.
My husband and I just went to the Phoenix for our 20th anniversary, and boy it did not disappoint! They have many options for gluten free, and they are so conscious about it! Celiac friendly for sure! We have lived in the area for around 15+ years and have never been- now it is a new favourite. You can tell it is a local family-run restaurant, and that they care about their guests.
Visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. There are great gluten free options on the menu; gluten free buns for burgers, two sizes of pizza crust, the usual salad selection. Our server quickly helped me pick out the chicken brie burger with a side of mixed greens. There are wings on the menu but no dedicated fryer means cross contamination so nope. Hubby had the turkey club. Turkey club has real turkey in it, not deli sliced which is refreshing.
My burger was delicious; the chicken was not oversized but beautifully cooked and seasoned. I liked the cranberry in the sauce. Importantly the bun did not fall apart; a sturdy gluten free bun is hard to find. The salad had cranberries, pecans, tomatoes, arugula and cucumber and I would have it again.
This dining room is 19+ and I appreciated seeing a staff member dealing kindly but firmly with a young couple who were unable to produce two pieces of identification.
Drinks were on - par with other establishments and we didn't have to wait long for refills.
This is a true sports bar with speakers hanging off the walls, keno numbers on the screen in the corner and a pull tab machine and ATM. I imagine game night could be rambunctious and fun if you're into that sort of thing.
Overall would visit again. I was happy with my burger. Maybe pizza next time?
Can not rave enough!. Service was great and funny. Food was superb. I've terrible food allergies and they were so accommodating and understanding. Will definitely be going again and bring all my celiac friends too. Thank you.

Excellent service, food was delicious! We had a friend who has celiac disease and the kitchen and staff were absolutely meticulous about making sure her food was gluten free! Just an all around amazing experience.
Looking for Pizza Eats, and we Found this hidden gem, just off a main road.
Vernon, Idk what your options, before Nov. 2023 were, but this should be the only option now, lol.
Their Pizza Reminds me of an old school Royale or Chicago brand style Za!!! Bravo.
Our Custom Pizza and Cheesy Garlic Wedges were delish. 😋 I went all out and got a Stuffed Crust. Mmmmm.
They have GlutenFree & Vegan options. So I could actually feed my Vegan Family some eats from there.
Lots of delicious toppings & loads of deals to choose from. 5 Stars 🤩 All the Way.
We were seated quickly and drink orders taken. I had gluten aware alternatives for my Ahi tuna poke bowl. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sushi was very good. Wasabi would have been nice. We were checked on and attended well by friendly helpful server.
Bean Scene Coffee House is such a lovely spot! It has a cozy, warm atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and we had the best gluten-free raspberry muffin—so fresh and flavorful! A perfect place to relax with a coffee and a treat.
