Went out with our family on a busy summer Saturday night; our server Gabriel met all of our expectations service-wise including the fact that one of us was celiac! Happy with the quality of the food and the way our steaks were done, everything without mentioning our many special demands for our dishes were executed. Many thanks to The Keg for this outstanding night and we are looking forward to going back there soon!
Gluten Free fish & chips!
Delicious!
(It isn't listed on the menu so you have to ask. You can have the gluten-free batter with your choice of three different fishes. We got the salmon and it was fantastic.)
They had a separate GF menu. Server was knowledgeable, quick, funny and professional. Really nice atmosphere with the plants and the live music. I ordered the beet salad, ribs and fries all as appetizers. The beet salad was alright, ribs were absolutely delicious, fries were good. They have a separate air frier for those who are celiac like me.
Absolutely delighted at the service, (thank you Antoine), the food, (thank you gluten free crepes), and the ambience, (thank you small, quaint, not loud, environment).
Very good. Very tasty food. Restaurant with brunch and gluten-free pasta options. For the other dishes, you just have to remove the bread that comes with it. The price is a little higher than normal. Very friendly and attentive staff. I recommend it.
We had an amazing brunch here! The avocado toast (with perfectly poached eggs) and steak and eggs were amazing and the cocktails were on point. Maeva’s service was awesome and she was so sweet to bring us a little treat to help me celebrate my birthday. For the gluten free folks out there, they do have gluten free bread and were very accommodating of my allergy. I would definitely come back!
Tacos are awesome closest thing i have to authentic in Canada. Service was great location fantastic. Was inside for the rain once it stopped they moved us out side loved it. Lots of gluten free options highly recommend
A good teryaki bowl that gave me 2 meals! At first I couldn't find the tofu but it's small cubes and sticks with the quinoa/avocado. My partner loved the (cold) ramen and our soft gluten-free golden brownie. The decor is cute with some fake plants but real flowers on the table. You can buy teas & kombuchas and the service is okay.

Hands down my favorite spot in Montreal!! The ambiance and vibe is a 10/10. Everyone is incredibly kind and they even catered to my diet (vegan and gluten free). Chef Miguel made a special meal that wasn’t a menu item- he created the most beautiful risotto for me. I was blown away by the flavors and the balance of the whole dish. My fiancé continuously raves about the short rib and the croquettes. We will always return when we’re in Montreal (in fact, we came back this weekend just to have another bite at Barroco). Thank you all for an amazing experience!!
Really a great discovery, a lovely place offering several vegetarian options and gluten-free options. We just had a snack and a drink but clearly I plan to go back to eat their dish which looks like it 😋.
It was either an off night or Gaspar has experienced a decline in the quality of the food. I was so excited to try Gaspar during our visit to Montreal, after getting a recommendation from a friend, seeing it listed on a travel blog post, and seeing the many great reviews on Google. But...we sadly left feeling disappointed by our dinner there, and felt we'd had much better food for lower prices elsewhere in Old Montreal. Gaspar is gluten free / celiac friendly, which I appreciated very much. There's a dedicated fryer and our waiter was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We sat outside on the terrace, though we wished we had chosen to sit inside. Partly because of the weather that day, but also because the Gaspar terrace wasn't as nice as some of the other terraces. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful. We had a dinner reservation but there were many tables available, so the reservation likely wasn't necessary.
Beautiful place to have your first poutine experience. Not many gluten-free options, but our waitress was beyond kind and suggested their fried onion poutine without gravy, and we were incredibly satisfied! Creative, caring, and delicious. Oh, and amazing locally brewed beer! Will return!
