Stopped for some tea and coffee but ended up ordering The Briscoff Dream which took longer than expected and yummy hot chocolate. Beautiful quotes across the cafe. Plenty of gluten free option available. Was a bit crowded and had to stand in line and worth it though.
Unfortunately, not a good experience today for lunch. The service was slow and full of errors. We were brought the wrong food, and then incorrectly served a gluten free version on a meal. Three of us at the table and all three were served sperately with large lags between dishes coming out. My meal did not arrive in time to eat there and I had to take it take away at 2.45. Sadly won't be returning 😞
A member of our group was coeliac and appreciated the range of gluten free options. We couldn't tell that there were gluten free options before we went to order and it would have been nice if they were better indicated. Staff friendly. Appreciated the variety of local art on display as we recognized one of the artists.
Burger Wisconsin in Paraparaumu is hansdown the best takeaway food joint I have ever been to. Me and my family went for a road trip to Paraparaumu today and decided we would stop here for lunch straight of the bat as a young teen boy with a dairy allergy, I was treated with a friendly atmosphere with highly respectfull, kind, empathetic and understanding stuff. I was allowed to create my own burger that wasn't specifically on the menu that was gluten and dairy free, with staff double checking. The food was more than amazing and well worth the price, which may seem a little bit steap at first but let me tell you, for ingredients that are handmade right at the shop, dietary inclusivity and understanding and outstandingly tasty burgers it is well worth it. The only downside is the space of the restaurant being a little small and cramped which meant we had to do takeaway but that didn't bother us. It is safe to say I will be recommending burger wisconsin to my family and will definitely be returning to burger wisconsin when i return to Paraparaumu next.
I’ve gone here 2 times now to get a gluten free burger and the buns have been terrible every time. Stale, hard and airy, clearly was well past its use by date. I actually couldn’t believe they would serve something so stale, it was hard as a rock and crumbly.
Every time we come up around the coast, we make a special detour to visit Passo. The pizzas are fabulously authentic, wood-fired, and use a long ferment process for the dough (perfect if you are gluten intolerant as this process removes most of it). The drinks are delicious and the gelato is the perfect way to finish off the meal. The service is so friendly. We sat outside in the little patio area, which was perfect for a sunny day. Definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again.
The prawn salad was delicious with just the right amount of spice. I would have liked to have seen an option for gluten free toast on the menu though. Great atmosphere. The barista got the short macchiato just right.
What a wonderful surprise to find an Italian restaurant that caters for gluten free as well. Their Polpette were absolutely delightful and the spicy sausage pasta a dream. Fabulous staff and a great variety to the menu - flavours were clean and perfectly balanced without being overly fussy.hope we can return soon - highly recommended.
We brought gluten free fish chips sausage hotdogs and pineapple rings.last Sunday it was the worst meal we have ever eaten they charged an extra two dollars on each item to have gluten free batter. I think if you’re going to offer gluten free batter you have a cheek to charge people for it on the top of the cost of the food the batter was roar and clearly they are turning they vats down to save electricity it was so oily we chunked it out over fifty dollars waste of money.
Not a great experience today. Very slow to serve at counter and it wasn't busy. Food delivered at different times. Ordered large coffee and it was just 3/4 full and Luke warm.
Chicken and halumi salad, doubt very much this is gluten friendly due to the speed it made person eating it, not well.
Very different level of service and quality of food compared to Porirua Columbus.
Service was fantastic they catered to our gluten free guest perfectly
We ended up having 3 year and a dog with us the team provided space for these extras 😊
Went here this week with 3 others. The staff were very attentive and super friendly, and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed their cumin poppadoms, and their butter chicken was delicious - rich, savoury and creamy, not overly sweet like others can be. And all their curries are gluten free too 😊 we will definitely be returning for more!
