Stopped for some tea and coffee but ended up ordering The Briscoff Dream which took longer than expected and yummy hot chocolate. Beautiful quotes across the cafe. Plenty of gluten free option available. Was a bit crowded and had to stand in line and worth it though.
What a find
Food awesome lots of choice
amazing friendly and knowledgeable about menus
Gluten free options and had oat milk so all good
Would highly recommend this cafe
Ten out of Ten for me
The food was beautiful, the injera bread was awesome and the staff so kind. Nice to have a whole vegan menu and pretty much everything was gluten free. Will definitely be back!
Gluten free, onion garlic free, vegan, basically any variety of whole food plant based meal. No added nasty stuff. Feels great while and after eating. My favorite Welly place to eat!

Had an excellent gluten free fish and chips. GF batter and dedicated fryer produced a delectable, non-greasy batter-dipped fish and accompanying fries. Super helpful wait person too!

We had our wedding reception here and it went amazingly. Their venue coordinators are excellent and covered everything perfectly. Such an easy venue to book for events.
The sliders were delicious and they clearly marked the gluten free options for our guests.
The rear room (venue room) has great sound and lighting setups which can easily be adjusted as we liked. We will likely hire out again for future events.
It was delightful. Thanks so much for the excellent service. Food was great, Gluten free options were mean and the kids were welcomed with smiles. That doesn't always happen!
We had a fantastic brekkie here and highly recommend this wonderful spot. Great menu with several coeliac-friendly options. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive to detail. I had the hot smoked salmon eggs Benedict and loved the GF bread used as the base. I only like super-hard poached eggs and these guys cooked them perfectly. The coffee (Havana) is great and the room has a funky and relaxed vibe, with a great outlook over Lyall Bay beach and the airport. You can watch planes and ferries come and go while you relax! We got a GF lemon and blueberry cheesecake to take away for later - absolutely delicious. We will be back next time we’re in Wellington!
We booked a table for 9, for a graduation dinner.
Our table was ready on time.
We were promptly seated, our drink orders were taken, and any questions answered.
Then we were left to browse the menu.
Our orders were taken shortly after, pizzas, pasta, and steaks all round (including catering for gluten free).
The food arrived quickly given the busy night.
The portion sizes were large
The temperature was good
The quality and taste was great.
Despite being incredibly full, some of us opted for dessert, and we weren't disappointed.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was a bother.
Considering there were some fussy eaters at the table, a great night had by everyone.
Would recommend, and we'll be back.
We had a wonderful meal at Damascus on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was almost entirely full at 5:30 and we can understand why. I’m a coeliac who can’t have dairy so it’s not always easy to find places where I can eat and have choices. Damascus’ staff were friendly, the kitchen staff were absolutely awesome! We had a selection of small dishes and a large one. The food was beautifully presented, so incredibly tasty and came in a steady flow. We had a wonderful evening, thank you so much!
Quite a few gluten free options, and the staff were great! They were very knowledgeable about cross contamination too. I had the cookie, Whittaker slice, and it was amazing 🤩
Never been here before and I will certainly make this my Otaki café of choice.
Amazing choice for gluten free folk, & eaters of all food!
Outside eating was my favourite under the shade of the trees.
Staff were attentive, delicious food was soon at our table.
For a colleagues farewell we had a group of 12 on a Wednesday evening from 6pm. They accommodated us with two booth type tables and it was very comfortable.
One diner is coeliac and when the order had a gluten item, staff didn't make a fuss when it was sent back politely. So that's really nice.
Service was friendly and efficient, clearing our table quickly and checking for drink or food orders often.
It wasn't too busy, nor too loud and the atmosphere was cosy. Paying at the end was simple and efficient, they operate their cashier system well.
All told for a large group dining experience I thought it was successful and staff did a great job. Thanks for a great night team.
Burger Wisconsin in Paraparaumu is hansdown the best takeaway food joint I have ever been to. Me and my family went for a road trip to Paraparaumu today and decided we would stop here for lunch straight of the bat as a young teen boy with a dairy allergy, I was treated with a friendly atmosphere with highly respectfull, kind, empathetic and understanding stuff. I was allowed to create my own burger that wasn't specifically on the menu that was gluten and dairy free, with staff double checking. The food was more than amazing and well worth the price, which may seem a little bit steap at first but let me tell you, for ingredients that are handmade right at the shop, dietary inclusivity and understanding and outstandingly tasty burgers it is well worth it. The only downside is the space of the restaurant being a little small and cramped which meant we had to do takeaway but that didn't bother us. It is safe to say I will be recommending burger wisconsin to my family and will definitely be returning to burger wisconsin when i return to Paraparaumu next.
Very nice food, quick service for how busy it was. Only downfall is they don’t really have any gluten free options so I opted for the omelette which was super filling and delicious! Dressing on the salad was also very tasty. Would definitely eat here again 😊
Such an amazing place to eat. As someone who is gluten free and vegetarian finding places to eat with good food can be very challenging, but these guys even had options!
Great service, fun decor and great food. Highly recommend
Good coffee, best food. Always impressed by how many gluten-free & vegan options are available.
If it's cake you're after, I recommend a visit on Thursday or Sunday. Possibly my imagination but the cakes seem even better than usual!
Cozy little coffee off Statehighway 1 shortly after Wellington. The coffee shares the same driveway than the plantshop. Has plenty of parking, Gluten-free options.Tasty food and coffee, friendly staff and fast service.
Certainly worth the detour and worth it, reasonable prices too.
Cheers
Love this place. Team are awesome. Only reason not 5 stars, music is a bit too loud. They understand why gluten free is so important. So totally coeliac friendly
Unfortunately, not a good experience today for lunch. The service was slow and full of errors. We were brought the wrong food, and then incorrectly served a gluten free version on a meal. Three of us at the table and all three were served sperately with large lags between dishes coming out. My meal did not arrive in time to eat there and I had to take it take away at 2.45. Sadly won't be returning 😞
My husband and I got married at 3 Little words in February 2025. We started looking at venues in 2023, and our search started and abruptly ended with 3 Little Words - we knew we'd found the one after we met Kirsten.
There are so many things we could say, but here's a few:
- Leigh (who coordinates your wedding day) is incredible. She is so calm, thoughtful and organised. She responded to all my endless questions, and our absolutely love her. She made some adjustments to the menu at no cost so I could have violet panna cotta (delish).
- The food is amazing. So many people said "this is the best food I've ever had at a wedding", and the foodies were wondering how so much flavour had been included in the food. We had a range of guests with dietary requirements (gluten free, vegetarian, pescatarian) - all were catered for, and the gf guests were particularly blown away with what meals were provided.
- Marise is a talented chef. We also ordered ordered our wedding cake from her business Sweet Marise. We'd sampled a range of other wedding cakes before trying Sweet Marise - and her cake blew the others away. Tasted great, excellent texture and no fondant!!
- The venue is beautiful. Getting married in the summer enabled us to have the vines growing over the court yard, and to take excellent photos in the surrounding fields and vines.
Thank you for making our wedding day the best day of our lives <3
I had the big cook-up. It was great. I was hungry and it hit the spot. My wife is gluten, dairy, nut, egg free. She ordered the coconut salad and said it was great too. Nice view as well
A member of our group was coeliac and appreciated the range of gluten free options. We couldn't tell that there were gluten free options before we went to order and it would have been nice if they were better indicated. Staff friendly. Appreciated the variety of local art on display as we recognized one of the artists.
Amazing service today- such a nice lady
Catered to all our dietary needs (vegan, gluten free, allergic to garlic and onion)
Definitely recommend going for high tea- delicious array of food and a good amount too.
Will be going back!
Positive - the menu offered gluten free options and appreciated being able to eat safely as I am a celiac.
Negative - for a beautiful Wellington day with women’s expo across at TSB and a cruise ship docked, the level of staffing was not right. Service was slow, with a rushed and harassed customer experience. Had to wait to be served, seated, order taken and food to be delivered. Even asking where our food was difficult because the server clearly thought everyone else waiting meant we shouldn’t query. She said she would go check but we never saw her again. For a simple order of two bowls of fried and cheesy bread and eggs on gf toast, it shouldn’t be a 30 min wait.
Negative - our food eventually came out lukewarm. So it had been cooked but sitting somewhere waiting for a server to bring out. The chips looked amazing but barely warm. My eggs on gf toast was terrible. The gf toast was as hard as a rock and no butter on it. I feel ripped off that such a simple dish was served below average and not worth the money I spent on it.
The outdoor seating area was messy with uncleared dishes and food waste on the ground. It wasn’t a welcoming place to eat and I’d be hesitant to take my family there again.
I recently celebrated my birthday here and the staff at Napoli helped make it a fantastic one! The service was great and the staff were very attentive and efficient, even though the restaurant was full on a Thursday night. The pizzas/pasta were all delicious, including the gluten-free base one which I understand they make themselves fresh every day. The vibe was immaculate, very cosy and authentic. They also went the extra mile by keeping the cake we brought in their coldroom, putting candles and a little happy birthday topper on it, bringing it out and cutting it up/serving it to the table - and charging no cakeage fee for this! If you're looking for your next dinner destination, this is it. Thank you Napoli!
