Amazing to find this little gem. As a celiac it was great to find so many gluten free options and knowledgeable staff. Full English breakfast was great. Friendly welcome and nice atmosphere. Will be back.
We enjoyed lunch and breakfast (separate days!) here, whilst staying locally for our silver wedding anniversary trip. Very friendly and welcoming team, excellent service and standard of food. Good range of gluten free options available. Highly recommended!
I booked the Toby Carvery for myself and two cousins from London. I was not disappointed. It was a lovely dining experience. My cousin is gluten intolerant and the duty manager did everything possible to make sure my cousin felt safe. The chef was also extremely knowledgeable and even prepared a portion of cauliflower without the cheese sauce. The staff were all excellent and I would highly recommend dining at Toby Carvery Downlands.
Staff were really friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
The food and coffee were top drawer with loads of gluten free options.
Highly recommend!
Superb choice of cakes. Big menu with a variety of hot and cold food. Lots of gluten free options. Friendly staff. Itβs annoying they arenβt open on Sundays for a breakfast! We usually get a panini or sandwich, a bit of cake and a can each - roughly comes to around Β£20ish.
3rd time here. Warm, welcomkng, cosy and friendly. Came with old friends. Just love the home made tortillas and dips, and the salted fried sweet potato fries. Went for sweet potato gluten free tacos. The specials tequila sunrise for delicious, I just had to have two! I managed to just about squeeze in the vegan chocolate and berry desert!
Thank you
Really nice little spot with quirky and relaxed decor. We had the veggie el diablo with fake meat and peppers and then the green goddess with added prosciutto which was gluten free.
Pizza bases were nice and cooked well. Toppings were generous too. You get truffle and chilly oil to pour on too.
Id definitely recommend this place you won't be disappointed.
One thing I would recommend the chef change about the El Diablo is reconsider what veggie sausages to put on the pizza. The current ones, which I think are Linda McCartney sausages, didn't have much flavour and didn't suite the El Diablo style. Another brand does chorizo veggie sausages that would work much better. Or swap for veggie pepperoni.
We had a very enjoyable family lunch here. The menu is varied and fairly priced. Good that fish can optionally be grilled instead of fried and new potatoes or salad are an alternative to chips. We managed to compile a decent vegetarian gluten-free meal for one of us by ordering several side dishes. My only criticism is that the service, though pleasant, was slow and lacking a spark.
Excellent! Really good food and friendly, helpful service. Staff had a good knowledge of food intolerances and half the menu could be adapted to Gluten / Dairy free.
Very tasty breakfast. The poached eggs were just right - running beautifully over my bacon and (gluten free!) toast, without that awful vinegar flavour you sometimes get. The avocado smash with it gave a delightful lift to the flavour. Lovely.
Service was friendly without being overbearing, and remarkably chipper for 830am without being annoying.
Cost a couple of pounds more than if I'd got my Premier Inn breakfast. I think it was well worth the extra for lovely coffee and really fresh, tasty food
So good. I went back the next day for exactly the same thing and bright friends this time!
Found this following a review in Waitrose free paper. Lovely coffee and gluten free cake options. Service very good and friendly and reasonably priced. A wide spectrum of regular customers, they are lucky to have such a nice coffee shop in their town! Would recommend!
I walked into Finch by chance looking for something gluten-free. I got the ham hock and it was on two massive hash browns. I have never eaten something like it and it was gluten free so bonus for me.
Had a great meal here tonight. The pizzas are great and as a Gluten free diner I am able to enjoy a GF base. I love the options of choosing the toppings to make unique pizzas. Mark the host was so welcoming and hospitable, this will definitely be a regular dining spot for us. Really recommend.
Have been regular customers for a while now. Service is brilliant as usual and always made really welcome. Food was delicious and gluten free food
Was really good. Didn't feel I was eating something I had to make do with, which is so often the case.
Absoulety amazing food and atomosphere, As I'm Gluten free Amy went over and above to produce the same dishes in a gluten free option.
The Chateaubriand was just perfect and we will be definitely come back for another meal very soon.
Gluten free beers and and 90 percent gluten free food menu makes me exceptionally happy. Great live music, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great for dates and casual hangs
Best gluten free breakfast cafe in Worthing. Sausages and hash browns are gluten free, with toast also available. Staff are very friendly and accommodating
Itβs rare for me to find anywhere which does gluten free Chinese food! As a coeliac I have to be super careful. The manager took my order and told me what noodles I could have. She used a clean wok. She was knowledgable about the ingredients too. There was only one sauce I could have but it was delicious. They were so friendly and I didnβt feel like a burden asking all the questions I have to. Will definitely be coming again.
Went to the pub on Thursday for the 1st time & it did not disappoint me. The food was lovely, I had the garden salad with halloumi, the salad had little bits of mint which gave it such a lovely flavour. My husband opted for scampi & chips which was plenty full. Full range of drinks & they also had a gluten free menu which I didn't realise until after I had order my meal. Definitely will return the next time we're in Worthing.
We came for my brothers 21st birthday, was very disappointing. First of all took ages to order any drinks and when two of the drinks came the lemonade tested like fizzy water, when I said to the waiter the syrup had gone he seemed very confused and then checked and said the problem has been sorted but seemed hesitant to give us other drinks and never apologised. Took ages to then order our food and waited over an hour for our food, we were only a table of 8 and there was max about 4/5 tables in there, so god knows what it would be like if it was busy. They then forgot one of our pizzas and one of the sides and then for some reason put another pizza on a gluten free base when no one asked for that. So by the time the two pizzas came and the side everyone had finished their meal. The food was so bland and then took ages to order desserts and get them, which were all so bland and boring. No one checked up on us and asked about our food and no gesture for my brothers 21st which we didnβt expect but some restaurants do. Overall, service very poor, food also very poor but itβs nicely decorated in there.
Good food, great service. More salad options maybe with salmon etc would be nice. Dairy gluten free choices not brilliant but a great place to go if everyone wants different.
What a lovely coffee shop. The staff are so friendly and really efficient which is what is needed when people are catching trains! Gluten free bread was available for my sandwich and the sausages were GF too. I got the breakfast sandwich and latte deal but with tea as I don't drink coffee. I was told they have lots of gluten free options like bagels and hot dog rolls which is brilliant. It would be better if the takeaway cups were recyclable. I'd definitely visit again another time.
What an amazing cafe! We were lucky enough to have our Motherβs Day brunch there today, and despite us being a bit of a tricky bunch with 2 vegans and one gluten free, the staff were fantastic, so helpful and accommodating, and the service, food and drinks were all delicious. Thank you so much.
"Hidden little coffee gem"
As someone who is born autistic, this place has become my comfort zone for my reading & interacting ~
Staff are warm, welcoming, friendly & bouns funny bunch of lovelies!
Atmosphere is comfy, chill & the shop interior is aesthetically designed beautifully.
Coffee's & treats come as delicious as well beautifully decorated β¨ (These are my photography!) You have a wide choice of vegan, gluten free, dairy free & dairy food & drinks!
Shout out to Tim who was so friendly and accommodating when I was needing to order gluten free.
His whole service was great and could not be more attentive.
It's always fantastic service here and consistantly a great visit.Even Sadie who saw us to the table was a nice friendly face.
Thank you all and Tim for making a meal out a pleasurable experiance with no drama.
Wonderful, friendly cafe with a lovely atmosphere and great ethos. Fantastic vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options as well. Have a fabulous, well priced breakfast whilst supporting this amazing local charitable project.
The food was good with plenty of options for gluten free, I enjoyed the tapas and red wine we had. But service was slow and food came out at different times.
Overall it was an ok meal which was value for money.
