Delish unique French inspired breakfast and lunch with many gluten free options
Amazing lattes too!
The sweet lady at the barista counter was very attentive and genuinely kind
Great portions too! And the soup was truly comfort food!
Ordered 7 pizzas for a party Thursday nights. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT 😡😡 My favorite place since Jimmy & Bobo in Stamford. Been to Norwalk location about 60 times NEVER had a bad experience before till Thursday. Where to begin 1.) Pizza size shrunk. They were rolling around in the boxes. 2.) Crust was so thin almost see through 3.) Never had grease in the box before all hives had grease 4.) My wife ordered salad pizza gluten free crust no cheese or sauce. Came with hardly any lettuce 🥬 and crust was only thick well this time it was soft and paper thin looked like made out of phyllo dough. Well I hate when people cut corners and obviously this happened here 😡😡 I will give you one more chance or Pepe’s & Sally’s in Fairfield
This was a great stop on the way home for lunch. Our child has Celiac and this restaurant has some good gluten free options. Walking in and smelling the wood burning in the stove set a good tone. The inside was beautiful with rustic touches. Our service was very good thanks to Ramone. The food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a good meal or needing to eat gluten free with confidence.
Some people say that this is the best pizza in Connecticut. Based on my own experiences here, I would not disagree. Each time I have ordered a pizza here, it comes out flawless and they have a wonderful gluten-free crust, which is a rare find.
Limited selection of gluten free items, but what I did eat was good. The restaurant is large and has a diverse set of customers - some for bocci, some for bowling and some for dinner. This lead to a lot of activity and movement all around and a relatively high noise level. Not good or bad, just what is was.
We've visited a few times now. Nicole was great! Some of our favorites so far are the pulled pork, crab, cheddar grits, and buttery golds. Gluten Free is marked right on the menu and the kitchen was able to answer my food allergy questions.
Their BRUNCH is great!!
I didn't even know that they served brunch. I was on my way to another restaurant in the area, saw they were open, inquired about the menu and went in. It was fabulous!! The huevos rancheros had the best steak, perfect poached eggs, avocado and I couldn't believe their freshly made corn tortillas were gluten free! My friend had the short ribs, eggs and fries. It was enough for 2 people ! Good thing is I'll be going back for brunch. Bad thing is I don't feel the need to go back for dinner . The brunch menu has such a wide variety and the portions are so impressive. I forgot to add that their mimosas were also great and are a great price!!
Their kitchen is open late, which was a godsend after a really long day at work. Actually, a neighboring restaurant directed me here because of that, which was really nice of them. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was amazing. I'm gluten free and was able to find plenty of options. Had apps, food and red sangria. Highly recommend the grilled calamari which was so tender and flavorful.
Fantastic restaurant! So many gluten free options, the fresh corn tortillas make a huge difference. Wonderful cocktail selection with a really impressive selection of mezcal. The vibe was fun and I’ll definitely be back!
First time visiting last night. Say out on the patio. Food was great. Ropa Vieja , avocado quinoa salad and Parrillada de carne all were great! Service was very attentive. Almost everything was gluten free which was fantastic as I have a severe allergies and had no reaction. We will return!
Stopped here on a whim and despite the atmosphere and looks from the curb, this place was awesome! Looks can definitely be deceiving. More than just dog friendly, they brought our four-legged friend plenty of water and were super nice to her. They had a great selection of food and everything we had was delicious! Plenty of customizable options to get your burger exactly how you want it, including gluten-free buns! The staff frequently checked on us, and when my family accidentally started to drive off without me, someone came to check on me and I'm pretty sure they'd have offered me a ride somewhere!
All in all, would definitely drop back in.
Lovely small restaurant, as others have noted it’s a hole in the wall for sure. My wife and I went with our 2 young daughters and they were met with such kindness by our server Susan.
My daughter has celiacs and while I did not see anything online detailing The Lime’s food with gluten free - there are tons of Gluten Free options and Susan was happy to brainstorm possible approaches we could take re: substitutes if needed.
Now onto the food - amazing! I ordered a burger which came in a pita - a bit unusual but each bite was a delight.
The standout of the day was certainly the barbecue shrimp. The sauce was incredible, it was served on toast - which is actually a rice based bread - fortuitously Gluten Free! I could probably have 4 orders of BBQ shrimp myself and be happy!
We also got nachos, which were delicious - and sweet potato fries, which were a huge hit with the kids. The fries were served with syrup from Maine!
Now I just can’t wait to work my way thru the menu in future visits!
I really love this restaurant. I've been 3 times and they have been consistent with such friendly and attentive staff, their sauce is fantastic! I'm gluten free and am hooked on the pasta Primavera. My mom has had soup and salad, ravioli and penne and meatballs. Haven't been disappointed with anything. Sundays they have a great band from 12-3. We really have good things all around to say about it.
Update from August 2024: still same but my order was supposed to have refried black beans and it didn’t. Did not have time to send it back. Server was nice. Still not a ton of vegetarian options but it seems they alter to make something vegetarian. Not sure if the gluten-free food is safe for celiacs. Loved it and would go back. Portions are large. Appetizer portion was enough for an entree for me. We went on a quiet early weekday lunch. One negative is the loud music and too many TV screens on the wall but maybe no such screens in the other section of the restaurant.
I’ve been to Greer twice now. First for dinner summer of 2024 and for brunch last week. My partner had celiacs so we need to be careful about cross contamination with gluten. The first time we went was a great experience. The server was knowledgeable and made us confident in his and the kitchen’s understanding of our allergy restrictions and the food was very good. This made the experience we had last weekend much more of a disappointment. We called ahead to ensure that there were safe gluten free options on the brunch menu and had a good idea of what we planned to order as a result but as is our usual practice we still asked our server when he greeted us to verify that we were ordering safely. He unfortunately didn’t have a good understanding of the menu or allergens so he had to check with kitchen staff (again this is proper practice and I’d always prefer they ask to be sure than risk glutening us). He didn’t return to take our food order for over 20 minutes and appeared to forget about us as he tended to other tables. When he finally returned he had forgotten to ask and had to go to the back again. We weren’t in a rush so we would have happily sipped our coffees while we waited but the cappuccino and latte we were served were undrinkable. I don’t know if the espresso machine was malfunctioning or the person who made it wasn’t familiar with it but it was very watery and stale with no foam on my cappuccino. We asked to change them out for regular drip coffee which tasted great so that was the right move. We ordered a starter and entrees and everything dropped at our table at once at varying temperatures. By this point it was starting to get busy but it was still disappointing after such a long wait. We let our server know our frustration and he was apologetic and absolutely made it right but it was a stark decline in experience from our first visit so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was just an off day but I’m not sure we will be back for brunch because the gf options were limited. The pimento cheese is delicious!
Stopped in looking for a quick healthy gluten free option. I was delighted to find an extensive menu and a knowledge team member who walked me through what was safe.
Literally the BEST poke salad bowl I have ever had. The delicious ingredients are fresh, generous portions and… they have eel! I enjoyed a warm tea and look forward to coming back.
