My fiancé and I absolutely love this location! ❤️ We came today to celebrate our 6 year anniversary for breakfast since we have been enjoying Egg Harbor as one of our favorite breakfast places for most of our relationship. Sam is an absolutely fantastic server and it was such a pleasure to have her! She made sure my gluten intolerance was accommodated to the best ability and made some great recommendations too. Will always be our favorite breakfast place!
Have been here twice and enjoyed each time. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Food was delicious and fresh. We were seated and served immediately. Seats, tables, glasses, silverware and plates were very clean. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options.
Rolled ice cream and mochi were excellent
This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was amazing. I tried a special dish but my friends each had something off the regular menu. Clearly honey is their thing and they use it well. It's clean, service is pretty fast, and has gluten free/dairy free options. I'd definitely go back.
Gerry’s is a wonderful coffee shop/cafe to visit to grab your favorite drinks and food! The space is incredibly clean and well kept and the staff is so welcoming and kind! Every latte and sandwich I get never disappoints! AND they have multiple gluten free options! The mission that Gerry’s lives out is the cherry on top. 10/10 recommend!
Our family’s been regulars for many, many years. Coolest decor anywhere. Everything is delicious. Everyone is friendly. Wish they had a few more gluten free options, but appreciate that they do have some noted on the menu.
Got the hot chocolate with skrewball peanut butter whiskey and the smoked salmon plate. The hot chocolate was divine and the salmon plate was good too. Lots of gluten free options. Good place to sit and hang out too. Also love the heart shaped macarons for a date night out. Love coming here anytime I pass through!
What a relaxing, fun and delicious lunch! Needed dairy free and gluten free and still had a great variety to choose from and all delicious. Best Sangria in town.
This Arlington Hts. breakfast spot was a real find! The atmosphere was super cute and inviting, perfect for a relaxing morning. One of the standout features was their selection of organic loose-leaf teas, which really elevated the experience.
As for the food, we order simple but it was executed perfectly. The gluten-free pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious, and the over-easy eggs were cooked just right and the turkey bacon was crispy.
To top it all off, the service was impeccable—friendly, quick, and attentive. If you’re looking for a great breakfast in a charming setting, this place is a must-visit!
I visited for a lunch-time private event. They had our party in a separate room. I was not the host but want to review because of how awesome they are.
I can't eat gluten and they did an AMAZING job! Instead of bruschetta on bread, they had bruschetta on the tastiest grilled eggplant, they had gluten free pasta, a salad, chicken with cheese and sauce and steamed broccoli, ice cream for dessert. The staff made sure to tell me it was a gluten free plate for the courses where it wasn't as obvious. Love the communication, love the flavors.
I hosted my son’s baptism party there this past weekend where they sectioned off a part of the restaurant for us. There was plenty of room for our party of about 30 people. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had preordered off their catering menu and they had it set up buffet style for us at the time we requested along with the necessary plates & utensils. We ordered salad, pizza, gluten free pizza, beef sandwiches, and Italian ice quarts. The prices were decent, the food was plenty, and the restaurant was clean. It was overall a great atmosphere & vibe!
Went to try Bar Salotto before a show in downtown Arlington Heights. New to the neighborhood, we were excited to try it out.
They were very accommodating. One of our party was gluten free and the waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable helping her pick the gluten free homemade penne with the spicy vodka sauce. It was delicious.
We started out with the wagyu veal meatballs with whipped ricotta appetizer and the garlic puffs (the sauce was used to dip pizza in too) Both were outstanding. A hearts of palm salad with the most delicious imported Hawaiian hearts of palm was a fantastic light choice before the entrees arrived.
As mentioned above, gluten free homemade penne with spicy vodka sauce was outstanding and light and nobody would ever know it was gluten free.
We then had the Salotto hand stretched pizza that was light and different than your run of the mill pizza. The flavors and the light crust alone would have me returning.
Finishing the night with a Kiki skillet was the perfect finish to an amazing dinner. My only regret was that I didn’t have room to finish the dessert
All in all, I can’t wait to return. There are many other pizzas I look forward to trying that were recommended like the Fig and Pig and the Spicy Calabrese pan pizzas.
The waiter also recommended the Bolognese pasta and the
Tuscan Kale Salad.
The owner and the manager were both very visible and attentive walking through the dining room and checking on the tables.
Underwhelming! Felt like a nice atmosphere with high prices and Applebee food quality. GLUTEN free eaters take note, I asked to confirm if the Salmon with vegetables and rice with butter sauce was 'gluten free' so imagine my surprise to see a $3 surcharge on the receipt for gluten free. 1st time in ANY restaurant there were a 'gluten free' surcharge without even having anything specific being Gluten free! What exactly did they do differently to an already gluten free meal is beyond my comprehension. I had inquired what noodle option was 'gluten free' and was told only 1 noodle option ( Rigatoni I think?) so I did not bother with a gluten free noodle dish. Now the meals for both of us were underwhelming and 'not good'. (for me the Salmon felt dry, old and stinky and my 91 year old friend said her Marcella wasn't very good either and the sauce way too salty). So the servant staff was very nice but that's where our experience today ends. Our bill with 2 soft drinks was $57 before tip for LUNCH. We agreed we will not return. ONE AND DONE folks!
We went for the Home Alone pop-up. It was so much fun looking around at all of the little references, floor to ceiling! We did wish that there were gluten-free fries to go with the burger on a gluten-free bun, but at a bar with a pop-up theme, we were still very happy to have options. Our server was great!
