We visited Sweet Katie B’s in O’Fallon, Illinois today after finding it online while searching for new gluten-free bakeries and it did not disappoint! We’re from St. Louis, so it was a bit of a drive, but absolutely worth it.
We showed up early and were pleasantly surprised by how many gluten-free options they had (way more than we expected). Since it was still morning, we ordered breakfast: gluten-free biscuits and gravy, a hash brown-crusted broccoli and cheddar quiche (my personal favorite), and a quiche Lorraine with bacon that was also so good. I genuinely could’ve eaten another whole broccoli cheddar quiche because it was that delicious.
They also had a big gluten-free pastry case with items like cinnamon rolls, which we didn’t try this time but definitely will in the future.
The service was just as good as the food. Everyone we interacted with seemed to genuinely care—especially about gluten-free guests. From what I understand, the owners and their daughter (who helped us and was super kind and helpful) are all gluten-free themselves, which really shows in the attention to detail.
All around, such a great experience. We’ll absolutely be back.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Peel Pizza in O'Fallon, Illinois, and I must say that it was an outstanding experience. The food and service were absolutely fantastic (ask for Matt Holtgrewe and you will not be disappointed), and I was particularly impressed with the fact that they offer gluten-free options.
The pear salad was a delightful start to the meal, with its fresh and crisp flavors. The assortment of wings and pizzas was simply mouthwatering, and each bite was filled with deliciousness. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the smash burger. It was hands down the best I have had in a long time, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.
I would also like to commend the ownership for getting everything right. The attention to detail and the commitment to providing a great dining experience was evident throughout my visit. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive experience.
If you're looking for a place that offers great food, excellent service, and a wide range of options including gluten-free choices, Peel Pizza is definitely the place to go. I highly recommend it and would like to extend my kudos to the ownership for their dedication to delivering a memorable dining experience.
They let me substitute gluten free bread for French toast at no additional cost. (Which is rare for the gluten free world). 10/10 would recommend to anyone. I’m for sure coming back.
Really nice place to host a gathering. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They do not have any gluten free options but they made me a salad that fit my dietary needs. They are willing to work with you so you can find something to eat.
Every time I come in, you’re overcharging me a dollar on the pizza. On your menu it’s $15.99 for a gluten-free pizza and when I get the bill, you charge me $16.99. I’ve told the servers & I’ve shown them the issue. The problem doesn’t get fixed ………you’re over billing!!!! I know it’s only a dollar but that dollar adds up And it’s not what’s advertised, cuz I’m already over paying for Gluten Free ! Thank u
Plus the pizza needs more sauce But
I love your food & coming here!!!
Great atmosphere, a lot of food for the money. They weren't busy. Server acted like we were an inconvenience and we're just wasting his time. You can eat gluten free here if you're careful, our server seemed upset I didn't want croutons or dressing on my salad. This was my first and probably last time to go here.
Absolutely delicious baked goods! I tried the Italian citrus cake (which happens to be gluten free) and the apple "fritter" cake - both were very good. And the staff is so friendly!
The food, service, and atmosphere at Le Ono are fabulous. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious and so flavorful! As someone who can’t eat gluten, I appreciate the GF labeled options on the menu as well. Highly recommend!
The best cornbread I have EVER had in my life….! I could just keep eating it. Let’s just say today was a great day for my husband to have a gluten intolerance. Great atmosphere with live music, I bet it’s a great vibe too once the weather gets warmer and they open the garage doors! Everyone was super friendly and went above and beyond - the food was incredible! We will be back!
A visit to the August the Mansion is a must! The menu had a variety of options and decent appetizer section. I recommend getting the sprouts! I have a gluten & dairy allergy and they were extremely accommodating and took extra precaution in serving our table. Love love love this place!
