This is really well done local Mexican food. They are also almost entirely gluten-free, which is a bonus for my wife. Owners are very friendly, and they have tasty margaritas
This multi-generation family-run business is always welcoming and - most importantly - has amazing food!
India House has many vegan and gluten free options for those with these dietary restrictions. We drive to Northampton from Brattleboro, VT to eat at India House each time we visit the area. Even our 10 month old loved his first experience with Indian cuisine at India House!
We love the pakora, Chana saag, Makhni daal, and the Jackfruit Biryani (among many other dishes)! Can’t wait to visit again!
Went here for the first time in a number of years, craving their gyro pizza, which was still fantastic. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that their menus list a number of things as gluten free that we were told after are not gluten free. The menu needs to be updated to reflect that accurately so someone doesn't eat something they shouldn't.
I love Nourish, they are my go-to when I want something healthy but has tons of flavor. Yes, they are on the pricey side, but for the quality that you are getting (all organic, super fresh, great portion size) you would not be able to find a better price. I love the Harvest Bowl (the butternut squash is out of this world) and their seasonal smoothies are delicious. The space is so cute and there's always plenty of seating available. Make sure to sign up for their rewards to collect points toward free drinks or bowls! Tons of gluten free and vegan options!
I absolutely *loved* my time here! Yesterday was my first time in Northampton, and a longtime friend brought my mom and I to this restaurant--I know that 110% I will be returning to come here the next time I visit. I loved the ambiance and warmth of the restaurant and from those that worked within it, and the food was amazing.
I was lucky to have an absolute sweetheart of a server named Chad, and he was so bubbly and charming. He even memorized our order without writing it down which is very impressive because we even had a gluten allergy and stuff like that to be noted! I can be indecisive on what I want to eat and he guided me to an option that I ended up loving. 10/10 would have him as a server again. He was super attentive and kind, and as a fellow server, he is the type of person I would love to work with. Ah, if only I lived not an hour away, haha.
Owners of this restaurant, take good care of him! Don't take someone like him for granted because he is genuinely wonderful. Seriously.
Chad > most servers I've worked with
Busy little place, food is incredible, generous portions, vegetarian & gluten free options. Took drinks outside, relaxed & enjoyed the quiet side street ambience while waiting for our food, definitely worth the wait. Staff, though clearly super busy on a holiday weekend, were friendly & eager to be helpful. Staff seem eager to help each other too, very nice to witness!!
I have very mixed feelings about Haymarket. It's a nice, quaint little cafe with a lot of personality. Feels very Noho. One of my favorite places in the area and one of my least favorite.
Sometimes, I've gone here and everything is perfect. Like when it's good, it's really good. Their food can be some of the best in the area. Other times, i've gone in to staff who don't seem to know anything about the cafe, waiting for food for way to long, hearing a fire alarm and getting burnt mac and cheese.
downstairs dining area is kind of a mess. Stay upstairs, better vibe unless you want something quieter.
Give the place a try, your results may vary. Give it a few tries honestly, it's just really inconsistent.
They do gluten free pasta, call ahead to see if they have it and save yourself some time. Although I have called ahead, been told they do and when i get in, they're out of it. Have requested food be prepared for someone's gluten allergy and the kitchen still contaminated the food with gluten and person I had ordered for got sick.
Really good Italian restaurant! Classy atmosphere without being stuffy... waitstaff excellent :) They even have gluten-free options! Great drink menu as well... desserts awesome 👌
Really was looking for a sit down dinner on a Sunday. Most places were not open. Saw this cute space looked online and the sandwiches looked good.👍 IT WAS EXCELLENT! Even the gluten free sandwich was a winner. The foam on the top was the decaf cappuccino was decadent ☕️!!!!
What a wonderful lunch and perfect location as travelers from route 91! We each had something different! Everything was very fresh, prepared to order, and very flavorful! The babaganosh sandwich on lavash was delicious with the right amount of "kick" as was the falafel sandwich on pita, with warm, delicate falafel and chilled vegetables. The kabab with rice pilaf was a great abd tasty option for gluten free. The Morocan mint tea was a nice compliment as were the locally made soda, that sweetened with sugar cane and not too sweet. We were sad when the food was gone but so happy that we had had such an enjoyable meal and accidental discovery!
This is a nice restaurant and all expected good food. Appetizers were good (potato cakes and cauliflower). We had to ask for soda and water refills. Salads were fine but nothing special. My own wedge salad with shrimp didn’t arrive until the other entrees and it had brown lettuce and blackened shrimp that had gotten cold, even under a heat lamp. Others had lamb rack, pasta, and beef that they liked. The tips and shrimp I was sharing with a friend arrived with scallops and had to be remade. The kitchen did turn it quickly, and timing suggests that this was the dish with gluten contamination. Once entrees were served, our server mostly disappeared, too. When someone has a severe allergy, whether it be hay fever or gluten or latex, there is no excuse for a store exposing a customer to it through carelessness. Even more, it may reflect the overall care in food handling for all diners.
This is a pricey place. You may have a good experience, like some of my group. You may be sick for 2 days, like me. If you have an allergy and are considering eating here, just ask yourself, “Do I feel lucky?”
I will not ever return.
We are gluten free but can get fries cooked in oil that had gluten cooked in it. We always just get lettuce wrapped burgers which are delicious! The fries are worth the trip. Our waitress was attentive to needs, she was gluten free too. Great experience .
I was disappointed with my experience at this diner. It was extremely loud and crowded, and once we were seated we didn’t get waited on for at least 30 minutes,
I ordered a breakfast plate with gluten free bread and made sure to say it was an allergy. Then when the food finally came after out after another very long wait they had messed up and put regular bread on top of my plate instead of the gluten free. So that contaminated the entire plate of food. Luckily for me I asked if it was gluten free before I ate anything and they took it back. Unfortunately for me they rushed to make my food again and everything was undercooked and kinda gross. It wouldn’t have been a problem if they just kept the bread separate instead of tossing it ontop of all the other food.
I’m not confident that they wouldn’t make that same mistake again and when it’s a food allergy that would make me sick, I just don’t think it’s worth going again.
The food tastes good and many gluten free options are available. The portions however are very small for the price of the food, especially the pad thai. The specialty drinks are outrageously expensive given they are served in an extremely small glass. I try not to exaggerate; my drink was finished in 4 sips. Additionally service seems to be lacking. Our party of 2 got a few dishes to split and we were never given plates nor an knives (?) until we had to ask. Overall the food is good however Thai Thai severely lacks in other areas.
