Booked a lunch the Saturday after Thanksgiving for myself, my fiancé, and our parents. This was the first time our parents were meeting, and in the reservation I asked for a nice view / quite space, if possible. Barnwood Grill went above and beyond to accommodate us! They let us use a small private room which was beautifully decorated and quiet and had a nice fireplace on one side. They let us stay for well above 2 hours, and gave us a hot chocolate wine treat at the end of the meal. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and excellent. They were also extremely helpful with my future mother in law's Celiac disease. Amazing experience, definitely will visit again!
After an afternoon of house hunting, the man and I decided to try out Little Sorrento. He had been there before but it was my first go. I loved it! The food was fresh (I am gluten free and the bread tempted even me). We started off with fra diavolo mussels which lived up to their name. I went with the grilled vegetable salad with grilled chicken and had at least half to take home it was huge.
Dessert was a tartuffo and I have to say it was the largest one in a long time. A lot of places slice up a quarter of one for you. NOT HERE! It was the whole chocolate coated thing!
I cannot wait to go back (whether we get a place nearby or not).
Our waitress was attentive and funny even though the place was buzzing because it was Palm Sunday. We didn't have a reservation but they didn't seem worried. They let us walk right in.
Great place! Probably up there in my top 5 now.
I LOVE this place just because they have many dairy free and gluten free options. Menu is modernized for many dietary restrictions. Everything is delicious and made close to “healthy” diet.
I loved their overnight oats and banana chocolate muffin.
Place has medium parking lot and kids friendly also.
Only one minus: It’s just very small and always packed with high school kids. I had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get a free table (weekends mostly)
I didn’t eat here. I called to ask if they had gluten free buns. Person on phone said yes, but if it’s a genuine gluten allergy everything is cross contaminated. Which I appreciate so much!
Sometimes I eat at restaurants that say something is celiacs safe, but it isn’t truly and I end up painfully sick for days
I write this 5 star review because of your honest and how much pain it saved me
This is a trust worthy place with good people!
I wish you every success
I had brunch with my brother and son and ordered the gluten free breakfast nachos for myself while my son had a burger and my brother had breakfast tacos. My brother and I also ordered two drinks. We enjoyed the food and service so much I ordered two more meals to go. Between my poor communication skills and my server not understanding I needed gluten free meals to go, I was given regular meals instead. I contacted the restaurant and they gave me replacements without charge. The service was great, the ambiance was great. Will definitely go back.
I can’t believe I have never left this amazing place a review. We have been coming here for years and loving these amazing artisan, homemade grilled cheese sandwiches. Lots of variety to pick from and there are some yummy soups on the menu too. He also offers specials. Lyle the owner and chef is amazing and so super nice to talk too. He makes you feel so welcomed and your stomach feels very happy with these delicious sandwiches. He has gluten free options too for almost everything. My kids love the classic grilled cheese and I love the Mother Cabrini! There are some very cool stickers and t-shirts here with his neat truck logo. I must get one soon! He has drinks and snacks too! Thank you Lyle for all the delicious meals! We shall be back soon!
Our first time there, and already we look forward to returning. Great food, interesting cocktails menu (my husband can vouch for their "JT's Old Fashioned"), gracious service, and some very good gluten free options. We had the baby kale salad, the crisped duck salad, cacio e pepe, and moules frites. The fries alone would bring me back -- GF and stayed crisp even once they'd cooled. Everything was wonderful. Didn't think I liked duck, but that salad changed my mind! Finished up with the flourless chocolate cake -- normally served with vanilla ice cream, but I requested raspberry sorbet instead. Very nice combo to round out the meal. We were seated on the patio which is very pleasant. The decor indoors is one of relaxed elegance. Definitely give this place a try!
