Absolutely loved this place!
If you live around the area or happen to be in town this bakery is definitely a go to!
I am 100% gluten free with celiac and when I tell you this is the best tasting baked goods I’ve had since I started my journey!
I got the cinnamon rollup, beignet donuts, donut holes, muffin (berries), and quiche! Donuts were my fav!
It is a little bit pricey but if you’re celiac you already know the drill! Definitely worth it especially when you get a little bit of everything!
Completely gluten free. I had a vegetarian arepa (black beans, cheese and plantains) Delicious! Verde salsa was flavorful and the plantain chips were great. I have celiac and this is a delicious and safe place to eat. Staff is very nice.
Food was a 3.5 it was good diner food with vegan options with smaller serving size than many diners. Price high for a regular diner but fit the general area that looks to be exploding with development. Best thing I had was goetta. It was a loose sausage like patty made of pork beef oats pepper and bay leaves (I think). It is apparently a local dish and I really enjoyed it. Gluten free pancake was ok, but normal cakes looked great. Really cool vibe in building and area. Well worth a visit.
Transcendental empanadas, arepas bursting with fresh fillings, frosty beverages, and a little shop where you can scarf up South American comfort foods and ingredients. The Arepa Place is amazing. My first bite into the chicken empanada sent me on a long journey to a far away planet named Delicious Prime. I landed, mid chew, in a great battle of shredded chicken, buttery flaky fried crust, and an assortment of salsas. There was purple smoke, the screaming of my teeth, and a salty wave of energy that made me urinate my pants. Moments later my wife and daughter shook me awake and I found myself on the floor moaning like a cow in heat. "Are you okay?" they asked, frantically. My response, "more arepas. And some of that aguapanela." The EMT team, curious, ordered some as well. Then, with my EMT team, I transcended back into the fever dream of flavor. Dedicated gluten free. Cute wall decor.
I just discovered this gem and they offer delicious and healthy gluten free options! I have celiac disease so it is so nice to get something to go when I do not want to cook, as there are not many places that offer this. I highly recommend The Rachel sandwich and the Carmelita dessert if you are gluten free.
I’ve ordered here a couple of times and the presentation, flavor, and cooked temperature is always on point! Staff really follows the ticket order. I love their gluten free bun.
Alcove knows something that many restaurants could learn, that you can serve people with food allergies and preferences without limiting access to a variety of dishes. So many dishes prepared gluten free and they have a dedicated gf fryer. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was incredible. Even my gluten eating friends enjoyed it. The beet and goat cheese salad is not to be missed! The polenta with flamin' hot Cheetos was a favorite at the table. The service was amazing and everyone was very friendly. Definitely will be returning!

Katie P was fantastic! She was kind and attentive for our whole meal. I have gluten and dairy allergies and she had the manager prepare everything to make sure it was safe!
I’m so grateful for my server. I told him I had a gluten allergy and he went above and beyond to accommodate. They even have my favorite dessert on the menu that is Gluten free and Gluten free pasta. Highly recommend
They advertise having gluten free options so we decided to give them a try. Asked the hostess if they had a gluten free menu and she said no. Asked if the menu was marked with which items were gluten free and she said our server would be able to assist us. After we were seated I asked our waiter which menu options were gluten free. He informed us that they had gluten free bread for the sandwiches and a gluten free crust for the pizza. I inquired further about which sandwiches or pizza would be able to be made gluten free and he said if an item had gluten they just wouldn't include it when they made the meal which was horribly unhelpful to say the least. Tried one more time and asked specifically if any of the appetizers or sides were gluten free and this dude just stared at me for 5 seconds straight and then turned to my partner and asked if he wanted anything to drink and straight up ignored my question. Literally no allergen information anywhere so you can't even order a salad because you have no idea if they just won't put dressing on it if it's not gluten free. I like surprises as much as the next person but I really don't want to order a tantalizing sounding sandwich just to end up with some gf bread topped with lettuce because they removed the gluten items. They do just remove it too, my order was supposed to have fried onions so I asked if they would be replaced with regular old onions instead and he kind hmmhhmmm'ed at me which i thought was a yes but turns out it was a no. They just removed the crispy onions. I paid more money for the gluten free option to get less food. My better half said his food was pretty good and the view was phenomenal so if you don't have any dietary restrictions and money to burn then give this place a try, otherwise stick with places like Fretboard and their affiliate restaurants because they're absolutely amazing and care about making sure everyone has a great dining experience. The price is not worth the service here, our waiter was nowhere to be found from the time he took our order until the time he slapped the check on the table and then he hovered around trying to get us to leave so he could seat the next tip $$$ in line waiting to eat even though I still had a plate of the blandest food ever to eat.
Perfect 5-STAR experience at the Kenwood Cooper's Hawk location yesterday, celebrating Valentine's Day at lunchtime. REILLY provided exceptional and highly attentive service, especially with regard to our gluten and dairy restrictions. She was very courteous and professional. We have visited several Cooper Hawk's across Dayton/Cincinnati area (Kenwood, Liberty Centre, Centerville) and the KENWOOD location is clearly superb in all aspects.
We were blown away by this place, it is such a beautiful romantic place to eat. They do have gluten free dishes and it's a family owned business the staff is incredibly friendly we even bought shirts. Highly recommend this place.
Hole-in-the-wall burger place in Northside doesn't quite live up to the gem in its hidden gem status.
Ordered the "Hammstein", "Buns n Rose's black bean", and vegan "James Brownie" milkshakes.
Pros:
Large variety of eclectic burgers, including a couple vegan options, all with fun, quirky names. They also offer gluten free & pretzel buns.
Though it fell apart easily, I appreciated that the bean burger seemed fresh and handmade - could see the beans.
Milkshakes can be made with vegan ice cream (coconut ice cream & almond milk).
Fries were great, and burgers tasted decent.
Cons:
Limited seating in a tight space.
Atmosphere is a little grungy, and staff seemed stressed and rushed despite there not being many people.
Vegan milkshake was like syrup - not good.
Biggest issue: Staff were NOT knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. I asked if the milkshakes were entirely vegan or if it was just an ice cream swap > was told it was totally vegan > turns out the mix-ins are not necessary vegan (the brownie had egg and I had to ask 4 times before I got that answer.)
Sadly, can't say I'll be back.
We found this place on the Happy Cow app and are all happy that we did. It was a really good find that all 3 of us were able to eat a good meal and enjoy the atmosphere.
I ran across the GM, Cookie, upon arrival and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions regarding gluten free and vegan options and told me how they work.
He suggested a few cider options for me to try since they don't have any gluten reduced beers on site. I tried their tropical cider and wasn't disappointed. They also hand Florida Seltzer, which was an added bonus.
Two of us got the Beyond Burger for dinner. I got mine with no bun, since it's not vegan, and one of my kids got the gluten free bun. We both got fries also, but decided to try their Louisiana fries instead of just plain for one of the orders. They were really good, but definitely have a kick!!
My other kid got a Caesar Salad and bacon cheeseburger (sensing a theme here!). She said both were great. She rated this Burger at the top of her list from all 3 she's had on the trip. So that's a big win!
Overall, great atmosphere, service, food and beverages. So if you haven't stopped by here yet and are in the area, you definitely should give them a shot!
Fantastic service and food and drinks! The chicken enchiladas, chips n salsa and the jalapeno cornbread were my favorites but everything was 10/10! Options available for dietary restrictions- gluten free/celiac
I'm gluten free for medical reasons. To be able to come to a restaurant and not have to ask what's safe for me to consume is refreshing. To be able to eat Asian fusion food and not have to worry about soy sauce is amazing. To top it off, everything is super tasty and filling. The staff are super helpful and the ambiance is great.
Awesome simple spot for the same trustworthy food each time. Not expensive and fast. Celiac safe (gluten free). I wish they had a protein option or more beans than rice (add tofu would be awesome) but that’s my only feedback!
Best gluten free Nutella banana bread muffin!! I loved it! Would come back just for that alone. I also ordered a Cortado and asked for a side of sparkling water to pair it. They were very accommodating and the cashier was super welcoming. Only downside is parking kinda far especially when it rains 🥲 it’s worth it though.
We catered Mazunte’s for our wedding. It was AWESOME! It was vegetarian and gluten free friendly. We got multiple compliments from our guests on how tasty and fun our taco catering was.
We ordered 3 tacos per person, for about 70 people, and despite many people having seconds, we were left with loads of yummy leftovers. I believe the cost was about $15~$20 per person, depending on how many add-ons.
The service was super efficient. We didn’t even have to say a word to them. The team setup, and was in and out in about 20 minutes. Cleanup was super easy too, as everything they brought was disposable.
11/10. Thanks for bringing the taste to our wedding!
The pizza is so cheesy and delicious, and there are lots of options, including gluten-free.
Beers are cheap. Mac's beer is $2 on draft and too tasty for that price.
Service was awesome from everyone, but Sydney was an exceptional server. Not just for us, but for the booth next to us who were from out of town.
They are very accommodating for food allergies and have gluten-free pasta. Also, the service and atmosphere were both great. However, I have a few complaints: the pasta needed more salt and/or seasoning and was a very small portion for what we paid and we left still feeling hungry. Typical for a fancy restaurant I suppose though. Another complaint is that my wine tasted stale like it came from a bottle they opened a week ago.
I’ve been to this location twice recently and both times the staff were all extremely friendly and communicative!! Had a great experience both times!! I appreciate that everything on the menu is so well labeled so I don’t have to worry about finding gluten free options! Highly recommend
Am gluten free and there were so many options. The gluten free pancakes and omelette were delicious. Portions sizes are generous. Very friendly wait staff.
Love Agave & Rye In Rookwood! The food was awesome as always! Enjoy the new menu and taco flight option! Our server, Megan, was awesome and really appreciate ensuring that we could accommodate my husband’s dairy & gluten sensitivity.
The lady at the front desk was so welcoming! While I was waiting on my husband in the bathroom she went out of her way to talk to me and complimented my shirt. She answered all of my questions about gluten free options, if she didn’t know the answer she asked other employees. This is so important to us because gluten isn’t our friend. If you know you know 😂. This young lady deserves a raise! 8:15am 06/27/25
Dining at Jeff Ruby's in downtown Cincinnati was the finest restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The venue’s 1920s flapper-inspired ambiance near the fountain at Fifth and Vine set the stage for an unforgettable evening.
The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. The drinks were expertly crafted; I particularly enjoyed a couple of perfectly balanced Manhattans.
The food was the highlight. I savored a perfectly cooked filet topped with crab meat, accompanied by fresh side vegetables, and ended with a rich gluten-free cheesecake. As someone with celiac disease, I was impressed by the staff’s conscientiousness regarding my dietary needs.
There were six of us, and even with a full restaurant, we could clearly hear each other’s conversation—noise control was spot on. The bill was on the higher side, but the experience was worth every penny. I can’t wait to return.
Very gluten free friendly and delicious! Definitely appreciated the help with the gluten free selection. Delicious lamb and meat sampler. Really liked the pickled turnips and flavorful sauces!
I was excited to try the gluten free crust, but they brought it out burnt. Twice. The second time I was told that it was as light as possible and still cook the middle. But the toppings were black, and the crust on the outside was almost there as well. I tried a bit of the crust which was only slightly less black than the toppings, and was inedible. I will say that I had the loaded fries, and they were excellent, but not enough to make up for the two burnt pizzas, and rather than owning that, making excuses for burning them.
The service was good, but the pizza was disappointing.
first time visit. Great funny and experienced cashier. she knew all about gluten-free food.
perfect combo meals. fries, salad, chicken, pork ribs, brisket great.
The Kitchen Factory is a lifeline for people who are dairy and gluten free. I haven't tried anything that hasn't tasted great and you could never tell anything has even been substituted. Thank you Reese and Dillon for allowing us to have pizza and mac n' cheese again! Looking forward to enjoying a meal in the newly remodeled dining room soon.
Seating:
Table was clean but awkward seating placement. Pretty slow day on a Wednesday.
The wine:
I got the basic marrlow Wine. It has sat for a while. Slightly separated with a hint of bitter. It smells fresh. Slight cranberry flavor but mostly tastes like it hd sat hu hasnt aged. Doesn't slide down easily, definitely a sipping wine. Would be paired well with a chicken, or something light to contrast the dark undertones of the wine.
Service and atmosphere:
Asked about allergies.
Asked about getting me a special wllergy safe menue.
New her menu very well.
Good scenery.
Nice sense of music.
There is a mix of dark subitiabilty mixed. It gives outdoor Deck well still having the comfortably of a high end diner.
Very hotel esk.
Service was attendant and open. As well as quick moving.
Air ventilation is good
Waiter also left
The food:
Asked for medium, god medium well. Not the worst for a burger, but would be worried about a steak.
Burger is very well made. The bread for being gluten free held up quite well and it was seasoned very good. One of the best I've had.
Upelled me on desert, the experience was so good I took it. I am looking forward too trying this.
Better menu options then ford's garage as far as gluten free or allergy safe options go.
The penutbutter pie: may I just say I was delighted. The airy light sweetness of this pie was one of the best I've ever had, glute free or not. The texture was smooth yet every bite felt varied in a wonderful way only penutbutter can do. It was also very ohio. Reminiscent of the buckies desert tht ohio is known for. The presentation was mouthwatering and it was well deserved. The chocolate sauce felt fresh, sweet, and well placed. The nuts where fresh (ive had many where the nuts where stale) and well placed. My only downside to this pie was the spray on wipcream, which if swapped for homemade would make this pie double the price, but award winning.
Overall rating 4.0/ 5

EXCELLENT CREW on 04/13 nightshift!
I have a gluten sensitivity and they went above and beyond to take care of my health. Thank you so much for your EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Much 💖 and 🫂!
Amazing! They had gluten free options and could accommodate me on my other dietary restrictions. The food, drinks, and service were awesome, and I plan to come back next time I'm in town!
I don't know who yall have been hiring but everyone here has not been trained up to food standards. My boyfriend and I both have deadly food allergies and when we asked for a glove change the worker sighed and huffed. Then when I told another worker we needed a clean cut I got an eye roll. When my boyfriend got his gluten free pizza cut, the girl dropped the cutter, picked it up off the ground and USED IT ON THE PIZZA!! I will be going to the West Chester location from now on as they will not kill us. Absolutely deplorable!
