Anyone with coeliac disease this place is a must. Extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and cross contamination and for once my toddlers had a wide variety of dishes to choose from so thank you for making my kids days with the gf pancakes!
This will be our go to spot every time we’re in the mountains.
10/10 food and coffee and staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!
Had an absolutely amazing time here with delicious food and great service! My mum is coeliac and it's so hard to find places that take the proper precautions when dealing with gluten free food, but the staff were beautiful and went above and beyond to make sure her meal was safe, as well as having a variety of foods available. I had the schnitzel burger and it was fantastic, and we look forward to going again soon!
I have an intolerant to Gluten and really love their GF French toast. It's the only cafe I have been to so far that have offered this and have missed it. There are indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking available. Coffee is great and so is the service.

This cafe is sensational. The food is really yummy and the fact that they are accredited by Coeliac Australia made me feel comfortable in eating there. Not only is the food great, but the staff are really kind and friendly too. I accidentally left my handbag behind and they found it and kept it safe for me until I could come back and collect it, even though it was after hours! Lovely people, lovely food ❤️

I came here by myself on a monday atfernoon for a sweet treat. The restaurant wasnt busy at this time. Ordered gluten free devils pancakes. Were so yummy for a gluten free item. The restaurant was nice and cool inside and was clean. I was seated by the window in the corner of the restaurant and had a lovely view of the square outside. I was lost so this was a good place to sit while I snacked and sorted out where I'd need to go.
Over the years, this place has remained a great place to get gluten free food; and it opens early, so good for breakfast.
You can sit, eat, drink coffee or green tea and soak up the tai chi vibe as locals preform the art nearby
I can remember dining at the various 'Pancakes' restaurants since the original opened in the 1980s in Sydney ...and it's wonderful knowing that I can stop nearby at Northmead to enjoy some of my classic favorites that they still list on their menu. The dishes are freshly prepared and I never have to wait long for them to be delivered to our table. The presentations and consistency is excellent. I've recently stopped here to meet friends for lunch or to enjoy a dinner. The food is delicious, their pancakes taste as good as they did decades ago and their menu is still somewhat varied with gluten-free options available. They also serve crepes, ribs, chicken schnitzel, fish, beef brisket and salads. I find their pricing extremely reasonable. You can stop by for a meetup with friends, there's an all-day breakfast menu and you can snack over coffee or indulge yourself with the varied alternatives on the full menu.
The restaurant has embraced the recent trend of QR-Code activated menus and prepaying methods that have arrived on the scene in recent years. But I guess that this also speeds up the order process and keep the prices reasonable. The friendly staff at Pancakes On The Rocks at Northmead are only too happy to assist with additional requirements. The restaurant is clean, the menu is appealing and the staff are polite and helpful. I can't ask for more than that! Looking forward to returning.
I visited 2 weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about their gluten free lemon curd pancakes yummy!!. It was a bit cramped in the building though - I had to shuffle my pram to get in, and it wasn't very occupied
