Pancakes on the Rocks Northmead

Phenomenal service, great food, exceptional gluten free options, and the price is a lot cheaper than you'd expect considering the quality.

We've visited the Northmead restaurant several times now, and unfortunately, the service has consistently fallen short. One of the most frustrating issues is the complete lack of consistency—especially with the gluten-free pancakes. Some days they’re a decent size, other days they’re tiny, with no explanation or standard. Even basic service like water is hit or miss. Sometimes we’re given cups and a jug without asking, and other times there’s no jug in sight and we have to chase it up ourselves. Today was particularly disappointing. There were five of us dining, and the staff mixed up our order. One of the pancakes was given to the wrong person at a different table. The server quickly retrieved it, but I refused to accept food that had already been handled elsewhere and asked for a fresh one. We then had to wait over 10 minutes for two new pancakes to be made.
