We had the pleasure of trying this new restaurant a few nights ago. I am coeliac and my kids are gluten intolerant. We placed an order for one piece, fish and chips to go. We of course, opted for the gluten-free, battered fish, and I was shocked to notice there wasn’t an added fee for gluten-free. I’m not sure if it was the manager or a staff member, but When I noted there wasn’t an extra fee, they looked at me and said you didn’t choose to be celiac. I honestly was blown away and instantly loved the place. As a celiac, I’m used to paying extra for gluten-free items so this was a nice surprise. They also exclaimed they have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, so the gluten-free fish and chips are coeliac safe. This time around, I only ordered for my two kids. They split a one piece fish and chips. They said it was the best they’ve ever had and the tartar sauce was amazing! I did taste the crust of the fish and honestly, I thought it was perfectly crispy and flavourful! I do want to add, when we arrived to pick up our order the, who I’m guessing was the manager at the time, hand delivered our order outside to us as I had my children and my dog. All around an amazing experience and will absolutely be back! I do have a side note because everything was so delicious. I am wondering if I can convince the chef or managers to add a deep fried tofu option for plant based eaters! I realize it is a seafood restaurant, but if there was, They would have coeliac plant based eaters flocking from afar!

Love Romers! The food is awesome - lots of options for celiacs. Their Smokey Bourbon is worth the price. Happy hour selections are terrific and staff are friendly, efficient and reminiscent of The Black Bear Pub’s . My fave🩷

We love the food here, and we come often. The menu isn't deep, but it's always tasty and as authentic as you will find in Canada. I did prefer their old chicken recipe to the current one. Gluten-free is available. The regular stools and tables are bit too low.

A group of 5 of us went on a Wednesday around 5:30pm, it wasn’t too busy, we were seated quickly. We enjoyed everything about Steamworks - the food, atmosphere, and especially the exceptional service we received. We agreed we’ll happily return!
•Location 5/5: great new (ish) option for any North Shore folk! Ample free street parking nearby; plus, near a main bus route.
•Atmosphere 5/5: love the option to sit inside or out on the large patio, which is dog friendly! Good range of music, which wasn’t too loud so you can easily carry on conversations.
•Food 4.75/5: plenty of options that are sure to accommodate everyone (vegan, gluten free, etc.). Portions were generous, yet not unnecessarily big.
•Staff/Service 5/5: welcoming, very attentive, happy to accommodate, prompt.
•Price 5/5: reasonably priced, especially during Happy Hour!
•Cheeseburger 4.25/5: the charbroiled patty makes for exceptionally great flavor. All veggies were fresh and crisp, burger sauce was very tasty!
•Prawn & Chorizo Jambalaya 4.75/5: packed with a variety of spices, generous amount of perfectly cooked prawns. It has a bit of a kick, but nothing too extreme.
•Vegan Goddess Bowl 5/5: three out of five people in our group ordered these, it was their second time here (specifically for this dish), so it’s a clear winner!
•Beeramisu 3.75/5: I’m not a tiramisu fan, but friends ordered this and gave the rating. Big portion, sharable, a neat spin on tiramisu.
•Other: friends ordered Poutine, Poke Nachos, and Vegan Dumplings as starters, which they enjoyed and said they’d order again.
