I really enjoyed the Greek salad which was made gluten free for me. It was fresh and delicious with big green olives and creamy feta. Thank you Brown Sugar!
Travelled down the north island with a coeliac this evening and found this place on the Coeliac New Zealand FB page. I phoned and we were told they have a separate area. Ordered and got two packages- one for the gluten folks and another for the coeliac. both were absolutely delicious and this place was super busy. it's a good hour from where we live but we'll be coming back up here for dinner. LOVE that this place is safe for coeliacs.
Every time I come here the meals and coffee are amazing. I can always count on a good experience here. There is gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. The yellow atmosphere is happy and very welcome. Thanks. Love the art on the walls too!
Stopped here (at the cafe) on an intercity bus for lunch. I had a very tasty burger (massive actually), packed with tasty salad and delicious tomato chutney. The beef patty was juicy and very nice. Fries were included, and with a gluten free bun it came to $21 (great price for NZ). All around a really good meal, and very friendly staff.
Incredible spot! Wish all cafes were like this. Fab coffee, great gluten free options and really nice (dog friendly) outdoor spot in the shade to eat by the gardens too. The kedgeree was divine & my husband loved his burger.
The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. I visited at the weekend and during the week and this remained the case on both visits. The coffee was great and there was a selection of gluten free cabinet food as well as on the menu. What a great location in The Victoria Esplanade.
Amazing pizzas and a nice drive in the country with lots to see around Kimbolton and beyond, and if you’re gf free they do THE BEST gluten free pizzas around, definitely worth the drive!
Hidden away in a dark corner of Levin, across the tracks, along a barely lit street, down a narrow passage past the screams and grunts of box fit classes, is the most fabulous wood fired pizza joint in Horowhenua. This was originally a pizza oven factory that extended into a pizza Cafe, serving traditional and unique topping options. Loved the pizza take on a Big Mac, but was tempted The Lekker, biltong and BBQ salt. Dairy and gluten free options available and a tempting selection of dessert pizzas. Eat in or take away. Will definitely be returning!
Delicious food every time we have visited this lovely little cafe, I highly recommend the smashed avo, it was the best I’ve ever eaten. Plenty of gluten free options too, and quick service. Highly recommend stopping in!
I recently visited and had the coffee and sausage roll, which was priced at $23. While I was told the sausage roll was gluten-free, I found it to be rather average. The pastry, in particular, was a bit tough at the bottom, which was disappointing. For $16.50, I’m not sure the value is quite there. The sausage roll came with a small side of sweet potato chips (about four pieces), a little salad, and some jam marmalade. It felt like a lot to pay for what was a rather basic meal. Overall, not the most satisfying experience for the price.
Gluten free salmon bagel!! Was very tasty with a generous serving of salmon. What a find! There's a small gift shop in the cafe too that sells a variety of wee treasures.
I had a gluten free burger and absolutely loved it! One of the best burgers I have had in a while, highly recommended if you’re looking for a burger place in the area!
Nice place to eat in Marton. Service was friendly and helpful. Lots of df/gf options. Food took a while to come out, especially as it seemed quiet. Biggest issue was my partner ordered dairy free/gluten free sandwich but it came out with cheese (not vegan cheese). We didn't bother mentioning it to the staff as they were getting ready to close up for the day and we just took what we could out of the food. My Spinach and mushrooms were very garlicky, much more than I prefered. Hash stack was nice, as we're the chips. The tea was delicious.
Selection of cabinet food, including a few different gluten and dairy free options.
Small local business trying to get going in this wonderful spot. Was quiet and peaceful when we visited. Art display changed regularly. I understand they're hoping to open their kitchen for menu meals in time.
We were delighted to find this cafe on January 22. The food and service were excellent. Great care was taken in discussing Gluten-free Free options. We were made to feel very welcome. We had the breakfast which was refined and elegantly served
So cute, three plant based milks available, coconut soy and almond. Gluten free food available too, couldn't see any vegan options but definitely vegetarian options.
