Super impressed with Verdo Lounge when we visited last weekend. Excellent service & amazing food! One of the best gluten free menus I have seen & staff were so attentive and helpful. Loved it, can't wait to visit again soon!

Had such a good time!! Staff were lovely, really friendly and welcoming, food was delicious, wide selection and very inclusive with a vegan and gluten free menu. The cocktail menu had lots of options and the drinks were equally as delicious as the food.
It's a really nice size venue and the toilets are accessible and well maintained.
Visited Coffee Tales in the Jewellery Quarter yesterday while visiting Birmingham. We had the gluten free hazelnut cake and a jacket potato with cheese and beans. We have been in the UK for 3 weeks now and this was the best jacket potato I have had since visiting! SOO good! The gluten free hazelnut cake was amazing, I really liked the Nutella frosting! Plus the portions are huge, definitely good value for your money!
Great gluten free experience. Staff really looked after me. My daughter brought me here for Mothers Day having found their gluten free menu. Will definitely come back. Theresa and Callum our servers were great!
Food and service is always excellent - thanks to Ananya today). Our dog loves the outdoor space and we appreciate the heaters that keep it toasty. Tried the gluten free chocolate brownie which was delicious.
This is our second visit and just as great.
We were visiting from Brighton and had originally seen the restaurant recommended on Facebook on a gluten free group. There are so many choices and a great knowledge of gluten free food.
All the food was delicious! Service was speedy and very friendly.
We would highly recommend!
Disclaimer I didn't eat here, I'm coeliac and the restaurant were completely transparent and said although items were marked GF they use the same utensils and wouldn't be suitable for those with coeliac. It's a shame as the food looked amazing. Just be sure to ask about cross contamination etc, if you're intolerant and not that sensitive or can have trace amounts of gluten it's prob fine though
My partner and I attended on a Saturday evening to celebrate her upcoming birthday. My partner is Gluten Free, and Harborne Kitchen went out of their way to accommodate that dietary requirement.
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we stepped in. We were greeted by all the staff and even the chefs all said allow as we walked by the pass to our seat.
We both went for the tasting menu. And I had the wine pairing. The food was exceptional. Beautifully presented, and each plate was introduced to us by one of the chefs. There are one or two reviews on here complaining about portion size. I think the problem here is common with a taster menu. Especially the Malloreddus. That dish was so good. I wanted to get a big big bowl of it, change into my fat pants, sit on my sofa, and scoff the lot. We were both waddling out of the restaurant after, so there are no complaints from us about portion size.
My only criticism is the tomato course, which is literally a slice of tomato with a couple of onions chucked on. Served with a little bit of stock. I can't understand why it is on a taster menu at a fine dining restaurant.
The decor was nice. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Good vibes all round. And we appreciated the birthday wishes with a chocolate treat. Thank you, Harborne Kitchen. We will definitely be back soon 😋
Our second visit to EV a week ago and it was an absolute delight. Had friends visiting (both vegan, one gluten free) and they were both amazed with the choice and quality. Shout out to those chilli oil potatoes.

Lovely food in a relaxing environment.
The team were able to cater for my gluten intolerance changing the bread for a gf alternative.
Many thanks to Kim, and Eliza for the wonderful coffee.
Thank you to all the team.
Came across this delightful cafe while visiting Birmingham Jewellry Quarter. We had the Harira soup, flatbread and a drink. Both were delicious. They catered for ny dairy free and my husbands gluten free diet. Will definitely recommend this cafe.

First positive thing - if you’re a group, this place is good for satisfying people who are celiac, vegetarian or monitoring their daily calorie intake.
However, there were some things that went wrong during our night when it comes to SERVICE - like: (a) drink order - we could think that the waitress was trying to trick us into buying the wine which is triple the price, (b) seating - the table next to us was still full with dirty dishes from the previous bigger group, (c) utensils - were delivered to our table only after the food and only after we pointed this out to the waiter), (d) glassware - just brought to our table in a bulk and staked in tower causing a beer garden experience. All these minor details we were ready to overlook and don’t bother, until - we were faced with the bigger issue which is -
(!) Engagement with customers - once the food was delivered at our table - I think maybe only one out of 4-5 waiters checked on us. When we were obviously done with the food - no one approached us and asked if we would like to order drinks or something else from the menu. We learned way later that the kitchen is closed, but we were genuinely not informed. We did try to get their attention by waving at the staff, but they still did not approach our table. One of us took the initiative to approach the manager and tell that we would like to order - from there things went down the hill… One new waitress (which we did not see around for the full night) rushed to our table out of nowhere and called one of us “disgusting” and that our “behavior is disgusting”. Rest of us had to calm her down to understand where she was coming from, what happened, why… Once she calmed down - she flipped her notepad and asked what we would like to order. Originally we wanted to order more drinks and dessert (meaning, double the income from our table on that night), but genuinely changed our plan and asked for a bill and way out instantly.
On our way out, assume, shift manager, was standing at the reception desk with our back (FYI - when customers are departing, it’s a common practice to turn around and wave them out) - we took the courage to approach him and give an instant feedback and maybe leave the night with “no hurt feelings”, but to my surprise - he was not even capable of solving the conflict, de-escalate the situation or even give a “fake apology on behalf of his staff” for calling us names.
Recommendation to the restaurant staff - please please please do not offend your customers. We were of course slightly agitated by minor details in service level, but did not offend anyone intentionally individually. To this day I’m puzzled about what level of “disgusting” we are talking about? We were not drunk, we consumed our food with a knife and fork, did not puke on the table, we were decently dressed, did not damage any of your plates, glasses etc., we did not physically/inappropriately touch or harm any of your staff.
Our group has travelled the world and collected the experience from low to high end restaurants, but this was the first time ever when we were called names and personally insulted. I do not believe the “customer is always right” approach, hence we will of course do our homework and reflect our behavior and expectations towards mid range restaurants. In the meantime, maybe the recommendation to the restaurant management - please invest in your people and train them on how to (1) work in customer facing industry, (2) how to deal with “difficult” customers who would like to order food and spend money, (3)resilience and response in difficult situations and (4)for senior members of the crew how to de-escalate conflicts caused the wider staff.
When we booked the table - you were informed that it's for a birthday celebration and all we wanted was to have a nice/calm night out. Unfortunately this is one star review. I hope you do understand and can accept this.
Thank you & wishing you all the best for the future!
Ordered the southern fried chicken club gluten free with no guacamole…. Really wished I hadn’t it tasted like there was no chicken in the batter. it was just the weirdest tasting chicken I’ve ever had plus they’d put the guacamole on. Apart from that service was excellent a cocktails were really good. I wouldn’t go back for food but definitely for drinks.
Unfortunately although the menu states that there are gluten free items on the menu, the owner let me know they can’t guarantee any of the food is coeliac friendly. (Double unfortunate as I had eaten there before not knowing this) I would advise removing the gf signifiers from the menu. Serving staff are wonderfully friendly though and nice choice of drinks!
Amazing food as always. I am gluten free and my daughter has a nut allergy and nothing was too much trouble. The staff are so friendly and its a lovely touch the chef checking we are enjoying the meal. Thank you 😊

Came to The Four Oaks with all my family on Friday evening and WOW what a amazing experience! Food was so good with the service to match. My waitress Eleasha was great and her knowledge of the menu top notch, nothing was too much to ask. My little brother has a severe gluten and nut allergy and she was extremely vigilant and really put my mother at ease! Highly recommend!

Chaophraya Thai Restaurant
Unit 1, St Martins Square, 7 Spiceal St, Birmingham B5 4BH, UK
Amazing Thai food! Limited options for vegetarian and gluten free together, but that is to be expected. Our waiter Adam was extremely helpful and tried to provide us with something to match our needs. Highly recommended!
The best tapas I have experienced. The food is just stunning. Our highlight was surprisingly the anchovies and the amazing pesto that they came with. We managed to get a walk-up without a reservation at a table near the bar. It is an intimate environment that is set up for tables of two, although there is one larger table. I used to love the previous Pichos business, but in terms of taste Purnell's smashes it.
They were also able to adapt a good portion of the menu for a gluten intolerance and they had amazing gluten free bread.
One criticism - the jackets we were wearing needed washing as they had picked up a really strong oil smell from the kitchen that persisted the next day. I don't know whether anything can be done with the ventilation, although this won't be a problem in warmer weather.
