Super impressed with Verdo Lounge when we visited last weekend. Excellent service & amazing food! One of the best gluten free menus I have seen & staff were so attentive and helpful. Loved it, can't wait to visit again soon!
I have celiac, and I cannot overstate how incredible the staff here was. I told them I have celiac, they have a gluten free menu and everything on it is celiac safe. They brought out my coke and my dad’s beer seperately to make sure there was no cross contamination, which was just incredibly kind. The food was spectacular, one of the best meals I’ve had since I ate out. The directions on maps are kinda weird though, it’s on the second floor of the mall, not the first. Kinda tripped us up there. Solid price too, cannot recommend this place enough

Had such a good time!! Staff were lovely, really friendly and welcoming, food was delicious, wide selection and very inclusive with a vegan and gluten free menu. The cocktail menu had lots of options and the drinks were equally as delicious as the food.
It's a really nice size venue and the toilets are accessible and well maintained.
What a great place .First time visit with 9 people. Easy to book on line .confirmed by restaurant plus reminders during the week .Arrived on time seated on time our waiter was Ryan who looked after us throughout. Great service .Food was divine, right proportions. Flavour of food was really good and very tasty .Limited vegan and gluten food .Definitely worth going. See you soon .
Please be careful if you are a coeliac. I ordered a gluten free takeaway sandwich which I clocked it had crispy onions in, took it back to ask if it was a gluten free and was told that it wasn’t and was offered a refund (hence 2 stars instead of 1). Really gutted as gluten free options seemed exciting, but can’t risk coming here again.
This is our second visit and just as great.
We were visiting from Brighton and had originally seen the restaurant recommended on Facebook on a gluten free group. There are so many choices and a great knowledge of gluten free food.
All the food was delicious! Service was speedy and very friendly.
We would highly recommend!
Great gluten free experience. Staff really looked after me. My daughter brought me here for Mothers Day having found their gluten free menu. Will definitely come back. Theresa and Callum our servers were great!
Visited Coffee Tales in the Jewellery Quarter yesterday while visiting Birmingham. We had the gluten free hazelnut cake and a jacket potato with cheese and beans. We have been in the UK for 3 weeks now and this was the best jacket potato I have had since visiting! SOO good! The gluten free hazelnut cake was amazing, I really liked the Nutella frosting! Plus the portions are huge, definitely good value for your money!
Food and service is always excellent - thanks to Ananya today). Our dog loves the outdoor space and we appreciate the heaters that keep it toasty. Tried the gluten free chocolate brownie which was delicious.
The restaurant was very busy, therefore loud, and as a result the atmosphere score is down. The service was really friendly, but when we first arrived (17:00) it didn't seem like there was many staff. This improved by the time we left, and the service did also.
Irrespective of that, the food was actually really good. Both of us are gluten-free and both our meals were delicious.
Disclaimer I didn't eat here, I'm coeliac and the restaurant were completely transparent and said although items were marked GF they use the same utensils and wouldn't be suitable for those with coeliac. It's a shame as the food looked amazing. Just be sure to ask about cross contamination etc, if you're intolerant and not that sensitive or can have trace amounts of gluten it's prob fine though
Super cute cafe we visited whilst on holiday and they have gf and vegan options. As coeliac it was lovely to have some options that were coeliac safe. The biggest thing that inclined me to to leave this review though is the amount of thought they put into cross contamination when preparing my drink. They cleaned the milk frother spout, the milk jug and prepared it before my friends order containing gluten. I even heard them say 'this is for the coeliac' when passing the drink to each other to give it to me. I really appreciated the amount of forethought they'd put into preparing my drink as that has never happened in my 6 years of being diagnosed coeliac so MASSIVE THANK YOU! It really meant a lot to me and made me feel safer to enjoy my order. Lovely setup and decor inside the coffee shop, lovely looking cakes and just the vibe was chill. Highly recommend! P.S. the latte was perfect!

We went for Mother’s Day & the food was beautiful, Sunday dinners were lovely and great portion sizes. We had a gluten free member of the party and our waitress Danielle was very helpful in finding out the options, and was very attentive asking if we wanted anything throughout the whole time we were here! Thanks so much we’ll be back!
I love the food from here! It’s always delicious and I never feel like I’ve over indulged after eating. The food isn’t heavy and they’ve got the portion sizes right, while still tasting great and leaving you satisfied. Also, if you’re gluten free there’s plenty of options. A new favourite spot (I forgot to take pictures because I was too busy eating)
My partner and I attended on a Saturday evening to celebrate her upcoming birthday. My partner is Gluten Free, and Harborne Kitchen went out of their way to accommodate that dietary requirement.
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we stepped in. We were greeted by all the staff and even the chefs all said allow as we walked by the pass to our seat.
We both went for the tasting menu. And I had the wine pairing. The food was exceptional. Beautifully presented, and each plate was introduced to us by one of the chefs. There are one or two reviews on here complaining about portion size. I think the problem here is common with a taster menu. Especially the Malloreddus. That dish was so good. I wanted to get a big big bowl of it, change into my fat pants, sit on my sofa, and scoff the lot. We were both waddling out of the restaurant after, so there are no complaints from us about portion size.
My only criticism is the tomato course, which is literally a slice of tomato with a couple of onions chucked on. Served with a little bit of stock. I can't understand why it is on a taster menu at a fine dining restaurant.
The decor was nice. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Good vibes all round. And we appreciated the birthday wishes with a chocolate treat. Thank you, Harborne Kitchen. We will definitely be back soon 😋
Our second visit to EV a week ago and it was an absolute delight. Had friends visiting (both vegan, one gluten free) and they were both amazed with the choice and quality. Shout out to those chilli oil potatoes.

Lovely food in a relaxing environment.
The team were able to cater for my gluten intolerance changing the bread for a gf alternative.
Many thanks to Kim, and Eliza for the wonderful coffee.
Thank you to all the team.
Came across this delightful cafe while visiting Birmingham Jewellry Quarter. We had the Harira soup, flatbread and a drink. Both were delicious. They catered for ny dairy free and my husbands gluten free diet. Will definitely recommend this cafe.
Decided to have a birthday treat with lunch at Inji. Food and service were very good with reasonable prices. The food was delicious and refreshingly different. There was something there for everyone. Really recommend this lovely family restaurant that were very helpful with vegan and gluten-free options 🙂
Lily & Jodie were absolutely delightful and expertly advised us on allergens. The food was amazing and I definitely recommend the loaded fries. Also has gluten free options
I went to this restaurant today with my daughter, I have been a few times and have always loved the food as they are able to cater for my gluten free dietary requirements however today I have had a shockingly poor service. It was just myself and my daughter and we sat at the round table nearest to the kitchen, my daughter got asked to move due to the restrictions in space created between the kitchen and main space by where she sat. We did move but 30 minutes later whilst we were sat at the 4 seater table next to the round table 4 young people came in, sat at the round table and not once did they get told that where they were sitting was creating restrictions. I am Asian and my daughter has dual heritage. The 4 people that came and sat at the round table were all white. Personally I do feel that the restriction to the availability of the gap, which creates a health and safety issue is down to the restaurant placing the tables where they have. Not the customers! I approached the staff to ask why myself and my daughter - especially my 14 year old daughter was spoken to as if she had created the issue but the 4 white people who created the same restriction did not get spoken to. In fact once we were sat at the 4 seater square table and they were at the 4 seater round table there was more of a restriction - but nothing got said to the white customers at all. I have made a complaint to the company in regards to their singling out of my daughter based on colour but nothing being said to the white people who were in the same seats as us when we first went in. This highlights the ongoing prejudice and unconscious bias by the staff at this location. I have always enjoyed the food in the restaurant but the staff tried to justify the reason they spoke to 1 person at that table over others in regards to the restrictions sitting at the table was creating - if that is the case then they should be saying something to every customer sitting their regardless of their colour. Not just picking and choosing who they wish to say this to based on colour or age of their patrons. When this was pointed out to them they still tried to justify what was said. This restaurant needs to rethink which tables are closest to the serving area and the kitchen and I will be reporting them to Bham City Council Food Standards and Health and Safety for creating hazards and restrictions through their seating plans. I asked the restaurant to be aware of their own unconscious bias in regards to how they are treating different customers and they still could not see what they had done wrong.
The food was amazing, completely unexpected but nothing to fault at all! The chef came over to ensure everything was good due to an allergy (really accommodating to a gluten allergy). Himanshu was great & super friendly!

Great place visited with friends I loved the food as a gluten free vegan the chef personally tailored the food to my needs and gave me great options on top of what they had. I recommend the place to all.
Ordered the southern fried chicken club gluten free with no guacamole…. Really wished I hadn’t it tasted like there was no chicken in the batter. it was just the weirdest tasting chicken I’ve ever had plus they’d put the guacamole on. Apart from that service was excellent a cocktails were really good. I wouldn’t go back for food but definitely for drinks.
Amazing Thai food! Limited options for vegetarian and gluten free together, but that is to be expected. Our waiter Adam was extremely helpful and tried to provide us with something to match our needs. Highly recommended!
Great food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional service from Jack. He is really attentive and remembers favourite drinks and meals. No complaints. Plenty of options including gluten free. Like the harborne branch!
Found this wonderful place when visiting the area and not having a clue where to go - and I feel very lucky that this is where we went! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very accommodating when we asked for changes to our choices. There was a separate gluten free menu, vegan options, the portions were generous, and it all arrived quickly. The atmosphere was really lovely and friendly - if we lived closer we would be coming back regularly :)
Absolutely beautiful friendly vegan cafe in Kings Heath. No gluten free marked on the menu but they are always really helpful in letting me know what is available. I love the cooked breakfast and the loaded fries.
Unfortunately although the menu states that there are gluten free items on the menu, the owner let me know they can’t guarantee any of the food is coeliac friendly. (Double unfortunate as I had eaten there before not knowing this) I would advise removing the gf signifiers from the menu. Serving staff are wonderfully friendly though and nice choice of drinks!
Came to The Four Oaks with all my family on Friday evening and WOW what a amazing experience! Food was so good with the service to match. My waitress Eleasha was great and her knowledge of the menu top notch, nothing was too much to ask. My little brother has a severe gluten and nut allergy and she was extremely vigilant and really put my mother at ease! Highly recommend!

We liked the informal and friendly atmosphere of the cafe. Food was excellent and service was great. The only thing that I was disappointed by, was the fact that they informed us that g/f bread was put in the toaster used for all bread - a big no-no for my wife who has Coeliac disease. The cafe had a supply of expensive g/f bread so I was surprised their practices stop real coeliacs like my wife enjoying them.
Beautiful decor and spacious. Friendly staff and attentive. The deserts were scrumptious. Menu had many options to choose from. Definitely value for money. Highly recommended. Also served gluten free cakes which was brilliant!
Love it, love it, love it.
The service from the lady is soooo good. She is always friendly, helpful, and generally nice.
The bread is apparently freshly baked and delivered each day by a local french baker. The crusty baguettes are a must, regardless of what you have in them. They are just devine.
It would be nice to have a larger selection of cakes, especially gluten and dairy free ones.
They have a nice selection of drinks and food items to buy too.
It is a shame there are steps to get in, which means it isn't wheelchair accessible. I'd love to take my husband there but I can't.
