Completely gluten free and Italian owned so you can buy niche products too, the restaurant two doors down as well is owned by the same people and the chef is an Italian celiac chef. His food is incredible and he specialises is seafood but also makes handmade pasta for each dish.
Birthday vibes at Church – Temple of Fun 🎉💜
Had my birthday meal here and honestly, it was amazing. The staff were so friendly, and they even wrote “Happy Birthday” on a slab on the table – little touches like that mean a lot.
The vibe was chill but quirky – lights, colours, and cool stuff on the walls (neurodivergent-friendly big time!). There’s a photo booth, pool table, PlayStation area upstairs, and I’ve heard they do live music too, though I only came for food this time.
All the food is vegan – and trust me, even the meat-eaters in my family were shocked how good it was. They were reading the menu like it was in another language 😂 but ended up loving every bit. They actually wanted more! I had a lush mocktail and even grabbed a tee from the merch stand.
My mum has really bad dietary needs (gluten-free, soy-free, vegan) and the staff went out of their way to sort her something proper. That meant the world – not everywhere does that.
Whole night was just spot on. Food, vibes, staff, all of it. If you’ve got ADHD or autism or you’re just a bit quirky like me, this place makes you feel right at home.
My only concern was the toilets — my mum has lung disease and the only ones we were shown were up a very steep staircase. I didn’t see any downstairs or get offered an accessible option. If you use a wheelchair or have mobility issues, I’d recommend calling ahead to check if they have accessible toilets. Not all disabilities are visible, so it’s just something to be aware of. If you don’t need that, it won’t be an issue — but I always include things like this for others with diverse needs.
Thanks church for helping make my 40th a good one ! ☝️ 🫶🏽
Love the red deer. Particularly big fan of the vegan fish and chips 😋 and the deep fried pickles.
Regular rotation and wide selection of real ale and other drinks.
Also, good selection of gluten free food.
Went there for Sunday roast. Great beer and even better food. I had an amazing pastrami seasoned brisket roast, my partner had the tomato, olive, capers ect. gluten free oat loaf. Both tasted exceptionally good.
Had an amazing experience at Spoon. The food and service were exceptional. Even though I have gluten intolerance and specific dietary preferences, the owner made sure that I had a perfect meal. I highly recommend it.
Good range of food. Excellent gluten free menu. Top quality service from an enthusiastic young team. Often very busy. Superb outside seating area and play equipment for children.
Fantastic gluten free, vegetarian food and treats. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our visit and couldn't resist taking away some sweet treats 😊
Met my friend for Sunday lunch, very pleased to be able to have a vegan and gluten free meal. Very tasty and portion size just right. My friend had the vegetarian version and really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and efficient, which is particularly commendable at such a busy time.
Great experience watching the six nations. Food was brilliant and they cater well for people with coeliac disease, we'll definitely be back! Higgy was especially great at talking us through the options and processes for making sure the food was gluten free. Only things that could be slightly improved were the wait time for food was quite long (it was busy though and when it arrived it was delicious) and it would be good if they had one or two alcohol free spirit options
Great spot for (Gluten Free) Bottomless brunch! Really rated the food and drinks here. Staff were really knowledgeable about gluten free options (seperate fryer for chips. Gluten free burger bun) and very generous with the "bottomless" drinks! 😊
Made my first visit to this pub in February 2024 after hearing so much about it for many years. One of the main recommendations was based on the choice of beers but, being coeliac, I wasn't sure if it would be suitable. However, I was very pleased when I was offered a list of gluten free beers to choose from - albeit in bottles and not on draught (but maybe one day?). As they had a number of Wold Top beers, I decided to try the Marmalade Porter, which was nice and refreshing even on a damp and overcast day. Didn't have any food while we were there but having heard about the gluten free options since, I would like to try it on another visit. It's a lovely old-fashioned pub with friendly staff and a place that was worthy of its recommendation so I would like to pass on the recommendation.
Just been here with my wife never been before however we shall be going back as everything about this pub was 10/10 the service was 1st class as was the food we had a lunch time roast and it was a cracking dinner plus my wife is gluten intolerant and that was perfect.....what a gem of a pub
Two young people who love what they do and it shows in the quality of the food. I very much enjoyed chatting with the owners and learning about the cuisine. It's all gluten free and the vegetarian options were amazing. My favourite was the homemade gulab jamun and chai. You can also take your pooch along too if you have one. What more do you need?
Love this cafe. Great if you are a coeliac, they take the care and trouble required. Service is super friendly and thoughtful. Plus they are a cafe that has coconut milk as an option! Yes! 10/10
Some of the best veggie Asian inspired dished I've had recently. The taste and flavours were great. I'd expect it in a restaurant but to be in a craft beer bar made it a great surprise along with some of the friendliest staff, super range of beers (alcohol free/lo also), dog friendly and nice decor.
Also they were very good with catering for one of our group who are celiac with the promise of more on the menu soon. We'll definitely be back soon.
Lovely coffee shop in Walkley. My first visit but it was clean, well designed and friendly.
Really tasty vanilla spiced latte and a cheeky gluten free millionaires shortbread for later!

Did a bottomless brunch, Molly was great to make sure my food was gluten free and Becky and Alicia were great with making drinks on time, they were so lovely and enthusiastic. We are really pleased with our visit !!!
This is my favourite cafe in Sheffield, a definite hidden gem. In summer you can sit outside in the secret garden around the back, in winter you can be cosy inside surrounded by nice artwork. It's a calm, peaceful kind of place in a world that is often overwhelming. They have gluten free options and even let me order off menu. A great cafe for artists to draw and paint or for having lunch with your friends and family.
Loveliest cafe in Hillsborough. I had a gluten-free sandwich that was packed with fillings, very good value and quite delicious 😋 excellent coffee too, I only came in for a coffee to go, and then was tempted by the great-looking sandwiches and ended up staying for lunch! Decent selection of cakes on offer, fab staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

An excellent old style bar retaining its atmosphere but in the modern world in the centre of the night life area.
I drank the Estella Damm on tap which is an excellent Spanish Lager brewed from rice so gluten free. Note to owner/manager, please do not be seduced by beer salsemen offering you fake Spanish Cruz Campo or Madri at lower price to replace the Estrella. These are brewed in the UK not Spain, from wheat so are not gluten free. Likewise Estrella Galicia is a wheat beer so not GF and too strong for session drinking.
Excellent gluten free options with a dedicated fryer, loads of cake options too behind the counter! Coffee food & service I couldn’t fault any of it. Very welcoming, will be visiting again.

We tonight, party of 4, we had pre booked and were seated straight away. We went to order food and they checked for allergies. My daughter is gluten intolerant so they took her order first. We then ordered the rest of our food. We did have a 40% off voucher which we used, knocked out bill down from 58 quid to 37 so bonus there. There was a wait for food which we were made aware of. When our food came out it was piping hot and really nice. The bar staff were lovely too. Over all we will be going back even without the discount from downloading the app.
Lovely friendly atmosphere from the moment we walked in. We chose a seat in the window and were promptly served some water and provided with menus. I asked about gluten free options as I'm coeliac and I was pleasantly surprised at the knowledge the waitress had around the menu. She went through the whole menu with me stating how each dish could be amended. Then she double checked a few dishes with the chef too. It was fantastic to have such a positive experience, I didn't manage to get the waitresses name but her service was second to none! So thank you.
Great food, good selection of drinks and a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Would be great if you had a gf menu or listed the gluten free options on your main menu. It would definitely bring in more custom 😀
It's a good pub with gluten free menu items and beer options. But this place gets really busy on match days, it's a convenient place to meet a walk down so you won't get a table to eat
My partner and I visited recently and bought cannoli’s. When I grabbed one out the bag, I found it was covered in caramelised nuts. These were listed as being gluten free, but with zero mention of nuts. Being allergic to peanuts I went and asked what nuts were in them in case I needed to go to hospital and I was just told they contain ‘nuts’. It’s concerning that they can’t clearly state what contains nuts, or what nuts are in their products.
Great place with delicious food that caters amazingly for gluten free! Make sure to order the steak 👌

Amazing pizzas (neapolitan style) had both standard and gluten free bases (wife is celiac) and they levelled with the best in sheffield! Thank you, we will be back!
