The food is expensive, they do have bottomless fries, chips with your meal. Very noisy, busy, people bring kids and families. The wait staff are nice and helpful. The dinning areas need upgrades. The place is looking a bit worn down. I am gluten free, they make separate fries and have gluten free buns but we pay extra. I got the turkey burger, very good, their signature sauce is a bit spicy but good. They give plenty of dipping sauces. They clean the tables pretty well.
I hadn’t been to Islands in years, so it was time to come back. I knew this location is particularly busy on weekends, so I came during the week, and there was no wait.
Our server, Aaron, was the highlight of our visit. He was very friendly. I ordered the Hula Burger ($17.99) and substituted the Swiss cheese for cheddar. All my friends had a side of fries with their meals, and I’m not sure what was wrong with mine, but they were incredibly salty. I even had the others try them to make sure I wasn’t overthinking it before I said something. They all agreed they tasted off and didn’t match the flavor of theirs. I told Aaron, and they made me a fresh set of fries, which were 1000% better.
I don’t often drink alcohol, but it seems like a lot of people come here for the cocktails. They looked super cute! I’m sure they can make a mocktail if you ask.
*all burgers you can choose a white or wheat bun
*you can upgrade any burger to a gluten bun
The food here is absolutely delicious. The salads are always fresh. The chicken cub wad amazing. Tried their gluten free bread and it was very good. Wouldn't have known the difference if I didn't know.
One of my favorite places for years and was very happy to discover they have gluten free options after I found out I would need to eat GF.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff and honestly the best falafel I think I may have ever had, it’s never dry and always flavorful.
The outdoor seating is also quite lovely on a nice sunny day.
