I tried a variety of foods and they were all delicious and the staff were incredibly patient and kind. I will definitely be back. This is nice and close to the New Haven Union Train station.
I love this place! Exceptional gluten free pizza. I love that the gluten free pizza isn’t too small. It’s a good size to share or greedily eat yourself as well. I love that I can have any pizza on the menu and make it gluten free. The industrial design with a touch of elegance is a great addition to the ambiance. Waiters are professional and provide good service
Excellent menu with a wide selection of options including gluten free and vegan. The cocktails are awesome too, it's a great place to grab a quick drink, a quick bite, or to eat and chat for a long time
There are a lot of gluten free and pepper free options if you build your own bowl. I love to swap out the base (lettuce or quinoa) for sweet potatoes and then load up on veggies and toppings, which is slightly more expensive but well worth it!
Our entire family was so blessed by this pizza place during our visit in New Haven! Their pizza is delicious with great gluten-free options, and the service is very friendly and generous! We enjoyed the clean, outdoor seating (although they do have indoor as well), and it was good to see they deliver. Highly recommend! May the Lord bless you!
Beautiful establishment, attentive staff. Flavors of the meals are out of this world. I had a wonderful experience sitting at the bar. Will absolutely be back soon! Gluten free options. Greatly gifted chef. Drinks were SO tasty too! I got the tuna, got it as the chef recommended. My friend ordered the salmon. Was so good! Almond cake, get it if you can!
I love browsing through the used books (mostly literary fiction and popular histories) with a cup of spiced chai latte. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are comfortable and well lit, if packed during the lunch rush.
I'm less enthusiastic on the food front: the gluten free sandwiches are way too expensive given that they're made on udi's bread. For almost $10, I want something made in-house.
The New Haven location is one of my favorite spots to go for breakfast, lunch, or anything in between. Andrew is extremely kind and helpful, making the entire experience a delight. I am constantly thinking I have found my favorite thing on the menu and then I try something new, and the cycle starts all over!
I am also celiac and they have a great selection of gluten free options. I couldn't recommend Life Bowls enough.
Interesting little place in New Haven. Unique inside with a bank vault storing wine. Attentive servers and great menu. The four of us each enjoyed our different dishes of meat lovers pizza, gluten free pasta w shrimp, seared salmon and steak salad.
Drinks were also good and well made.
Biggest complaint is the noise level. The music speaker sounded blown with much humming and crackle for all bass noise and then as the place filled from 6:15-8 pm it became too noisy to hear people next to me.
We eventually left and sat outside to visit. Might dine here again but won’t go on a Friday or during peak dining.
Excellent coffee and yummy breakfast! They accommodated my gluten allergies with no issue! If you’re staying at the Omni on Temple Street, this is by far a superior option to their 19th Floor breakfast at a fraction of the cost.
The people here are very good about knowing what's gluten friendly on their menu and what isn't. The only thing they will guarantee as gluten free is the burger without bun. However, I've eaten the shakes and fries many times and only gotten ill once, so you may do ok if you're only gluten intolerant rather than celiac.
*update* They now have a gluten free bun, but I wouldn't bother with it. It costs more and quickly disintegrates into mush due to how greasy the burger patties are.
