A great option for both gluten-free and gluten-included food! Had a ton of options to accommodate everyone and were served very quickly! On weekends, try to get a reservation since the indoor seating is limited.
This place was amazing. My son goes to Stevens which is two blocks away and we went to have a meal with him. We sat outside which was really nice if you like to people watch. The tables were small but we made it work. The staff was on top of things for sure and the food and drinks came out fast. The food was delicious and the serving size was very very generous. My wife had gluten free pizza and it was one of the best she ever had. They also had gluten free pasta. The prices were not bad considering the amount of food and it is Hoboken. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to eat. Worth the visit for sure
Great ambiance and cocktails with gluten free options, I got the calamari and kale pesto pasta made gluten free. I knocked off a star because the menu was not labeled as to what options could be made gluten free, and our server didn’t give complete information as to what options could be made gluten free either. Definitely frustrating when I was trying to pick out what to order. Especially considering they have a QR code digital menu and not a physical menu.
On the positive side, their gluten free crust and margarita pizza is really good . Wasn't sure if the mozzarella was fresh mozzarella as advertised but either way it was good. Service was good and the ambience is nice, upscale industrial bar. My issue is $30 for a medium pizza is just ridiculous . Like seriously outrageous . Medium pizza , soda and tip $44 ! 🤦♂️ Receipt below. It's too bad it was my first time here and I live a block away . Won't be back for pizza ever. Napolis's is $19 for their gluten free margarita with mushroom and pepperoni , blaze is $12 .
Our friends ordered the regular pizza which seemed amazing… but the gluten free pizza we got was, to put in more kindly, not worth getting. Yeah, let me just put it that way….no need to get that gluten free pizza. If you need gluten free…move on.
The Margherita pizza on gluten free cauliflower crust was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve lived in the area for about a decade and never once been to Imposto’s, decided to try it out based on recent positive reviews when I had a craving for pizza while on a temporary gluten free diet. The sauce was simply heavenly, so so flavorful and perfect proportions of sauce and cheese. The cauliflower crust was surprisingly tasty as well, given I’d never tried it before. Staff is super friendly. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be back next time I have a pizza craving!
Husband also liked the wings, and he’s quite picky with his wings!
We had high hopes for Apulia but unfortunately was not up to par with other upper scale Italian spots in Hoboken.
Food: was decent but not great. We had a gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta. The upcharge for the GF crust is $6 which felt absurd especially given the size and it was nothing special. The pizza came 15 min before the pasta so thankfully we were sharing. The bolognese was okay, but was a small portion and was not the best we have had. We would have loved some parmesan cheese but the waiter never offered (the tables next to us were…)
Drinks: we assumed it was like most HBK places so we brought a bottle of wine, but opted for cocktails after informed of the $20 corkage. The cocktails were a nice treat.
Service: this is where things were really off. Our server was not attentive - while we were having dinner another table sat down with a different server who told them about the specials, offered them Parmesan and fresh ground pepper, refilled their water, and actually came back to check if they needed anything. We did not know there were specials, were frequently out of water, and as aforementioned the dishes came out 15 min apart.
The atmosphere is cute and they have a nice outdoor patio, but it was a very mediocre experience and we left still hungry. The main benefit is you can make a reservation which is often not offered in HBK.
