We had dinner here as a family with 2 kiddos and loved it. Right on the river for nice views to enjoy while eating dinner. There is a playground right in the venue as well which is awesome for the kids. We got to feed fish below on the docks and had an all round blast.
Food was delicious from 4 of us adults 👌 They are fairly gluten friendly as well which is good to see. I personally had steak and chips which was cooked to perfection. Great range of beers and drinks from their bar. Thanks!
We weren’t told we had to order at the counter, and when we asked the owner about avoiding contamination for my coeliac partner she was very short and rude with us - yes it’s a pizza place but most places we go which offer gluten free bases as an option at least make an effort.
Pretty disappointing service.
Response - thankfully Sassafras were helpful and polite and had no problem marking the kitchen ticket with a note. This is how you should treat your customers. Anyone reading these reviews you can tell a lot from this owners responses. Enjoy another 1 star review, maybe you should question your own common sense as a business owner of a half empty restaurant
Was just great 👍. I am coeliac and they were able to supply me with the best lunch I have had on our trip. And we actually returned today for a repeat lunch my husband had the same as me and loved it. Thai chilli prawn salad 🥗. Was yum. The beers according to my husband are good as well. Would highly recommend. Even purchased two t-shirts.
My gal said ‘you know you booked a hostel’ for an overnight sleepover. Never stayed in a hostel before. This place is great. Clean and comfortable. The staff warm and welcoming. And what doesn’t work with a craft brewery attached to it (have the Yamba Breeze cocktail). Also, terrific food options but especially great vegetarian and gluten free options. Highly recommended.
