I visited Donna’s for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed. I ordered a gluten-free clubhouse sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. When I inquired about gluten-free donairs, the owner enthusiastically confirmed they offer them, and to my surprise, he even brought one out for me to try. The food was outstanding, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the entire experience was wonderful. I’ll definitely be returning—highly recommended!
Nice lunch spot with good meat options! We had the full meat platter with the potato chips & coleslaw! The pulled pork was very tender and ribs fell off the bone. Service was quick! They had gluten free options which was a bonus!
I’ve been hearing great things about this place for a while now. I kept putting it off, but I finally went to try it today, and I wish I had tried this place sooner! The experience was excellent, and this place gets packed, so make sure you make a reservation. The service provided was amazing as well. Our server, Stella, did a fantastic job explaining the menu to me and my friends. I have a gluten allergy, and she helped make sure all the food I was ordering was gluten-free. Shoutout to the girl with plushies and charms on her apron! Overall, it was a great experience and one of the better AYCE restaurants I’ve ever been to in YEG.
I visited Browns with a friend and was instantly very kindly welcomed by the host. Didn’t catch her name but she was super talkative and kind. Both the food and our server Raelynn were phenomenal. She was such a sweet girl from the start, very polite and friendly, and made us laugh a ton too! We were never left waiting for a drink refill or more water or anything she was right there whenever we needed something. Very attentive. I am gluten free so sometimes finding options that are safe but still taste just as good as normal is difficult at restaurants. She recommended the salmon that they can make gluten free and it was amazing. Apparently it is a fairly new item so if you haven’t gotten the chance to try it yet definitely do next time you’re in. They did a great job with the food and it didn’t take long to come out either. We sat on the patio which was lovely. All in all a great experience both food and service wise definitely will come again!
Their Gluten-Free spicy chicken and cheese pizza is next level! I always swing by Sunbake to pick up treats for my work and we are never disappointed. It is always fresh, and always delicious.
Absolutely fantastic! They have gluten-free bread so you can have sandwiches and they have gluten free pizza dough and pasta but you just have to order about an hour in advance. Kind and knowledge staff. I had the grilled Club, so good!
Recently had catering from El Mero Mero and it was a pleasant experience. Kate was prompt in her responses and had made the process very easy. Arturo was friendly and quick with setting up. I contacted them around the holidays so I wasn’t optimistic about getting catering last minute for a Christmas party, but they made it work! Thank you to the entire team. Our staff loved the tacos. I especially appreciate that the tacos are halal and gluten free. They were fresh and delicious. Will certainly be recommending them to other businesses/individuals.
After a trip to Dickey's in Minot, I was excited to find out Edmonton was getting a location. I was disappointed that some menu items aren't the same, such as no pork, no sweet tea, and various items not being gluten-free.
However, I was still happy with the brisket and sausage. The others who came with were also satisfied with their meals.
The food was great. The environment was bouncing. Is loud, not a place for a relaxed meal, but to chill with friends. Conversation is next to impossible.
I'd give it five stars but we were overcharged $5/plate. Menu said $15/dish, we were charged $20. We were presented two menus with two different prices for the same thing. So benefit of the doubt I guess. That's the only thing that felt off about it.
Service was friendly and fantastic. We're gluten and dairy free and none of us had problems with the food. The quality is yummy and the portions are huge.
Really liked it otherwise.
