I recently visited The Keg on Airport Road, Mississauga, near the airport, and it was quite an experience. The ambiance was lovely, and the location was easy to get to with ample parking at the back.
We were greeted pleasantly at the door, which set the tone for the evening. While waiting for our table, there was plenty of space to stand around comfortably, and the cucumber water available was a nice touch. Although I wasn’t initially pleased with the area we were to be seated, the staff kindly prepared a booth for us without any fuss, which I appreciated.
As for the food, I decided to try the new menu item: duck. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The outside was crispy, but the inside was dry. The server was understanding and had it removed from the bill, but the accompanying sauce didn’t help either. The lobster tail was also overcooked and too salty, so I don’t plan to order it again.
On a positive note, the steak was excellent, which is what The Keg is known for. Pair it with the twice-baked potato for a great meal.
The garlic Mashed potatoes was also very good.
The wings to start was very good. If you can handle a little spice go for it.
The bathrooms could use some upgrades, , and touchless faucets would be a good improvement.
Despite some drawbacks, I enjoyed the ambiance and overall vibes. They offer a lot of gluten-free options for main courses, and I’d definitely return for another dining experience.
Steve was incredible and the food was everything I imagined. Steve insisted on grabbing us a gluten free menu after he heard us order multiple items gluten free. It was very helpful and informed a couple of our final decisions
A group of us came to have lunch at this location. They were very accommodating for a group of 9. One of our group members has a gluten allergy and our waitress Jinan was diligent and ensured the kitchen staff was well informed. Overall this location was great and our server Jinan was excellent. Thank you.
Absolutely phenomenal. Exceptional staff make this a must see if you're nearby! Great gluten free options too:) We had stopped by to celebrate a Jiu-jitsu tournament win in style and they made our 13 year old champion feel awesome too.
Creme brulee is to die for!
This was my first visit to the Stella Terrace at Woodbine, and we enjoyed a pleasant lunch with a great view of the race. Food was good, with both vegetarian and gluten-free options available. The gluten-free bread was excellent. Drinks were average but the overall experience was enjoyable.
Great little place for excellent sushi. Staff is gluten free aware and made my partner and I a special GF platter of tasty sushi together with GF soy sauce. Definitely going back if we're near Toronto airport again.
