Delicious with coeliac friendly options (they have a separate fryer). I loved my burger and my partner enjoyed a gluten free breakfast option. Toni really looked after us. Recommended!
I had the most disgusting uber from jos garage. A piece of chicken and mashed potato. It was supposed to come with mushroom if I had not ordered the glutenis mushroom sauce there would not have been a mushroom in sight. I paid almost $30 for garbage you should be ashamed
Loved our dinner at Area 41. Friendly service and very accommodating as we have 2 children and I'm gluten and dairy free. The kids have never eaten so much at a restaurant, plates completely clean. Nice wine and beer list.
Loved this place, the service was friendly, the food was excellent with a great choice of options. I am gluten free and I have never found it so hard to decide as there were so many delicious looking options. All 6 people at our table loved their food. Top marks for the tasty chicken burger, generous pizzas, finger licking good pork ribs and moreish mussel. All beautifully presented. Only sorry I didn't take photos!
Go visit any time. It is worth the drive for a special lunch or plan to call in when you are heading north. We will be back for sure.
They also have a lovely little art gallery with unique special hand made jewellery. Just beautiful, I may have bought a few pieces ;0)
A little cafe in a beautiful old building with welcoming staff members. The cafe staff were lovely - when we asked for the gluten free eggs Benedict, they asked me if I was coeliac and then told me they will serve it on gluten free toast instead of hash browns because though the hash browns are gluten free, they fry it in a shared fryer. To me this shows wonderful knowledge about coeliacs and how shared fryers can still cause reactions - so I felt very safe and cared for, which I don’t take for granted as a coeliac. Coffee was also great, and our dog enjoyed some pats, a pup cup and a bowl of water while we ate.
4 of us dined in for my husbands birthday dinner, we were greeted by a very nice waitress and shown to our table. I was so happy to see the different dietary options they provide on the menu. I ordered a chicken burger (changing to GF option), their fries aren't GF since they are cooked in the same vat as gluten containing products so they offered to do me a potato mash which came with pumpkin chutney, and ordering GF garlic bread as entrée (there were 3 but I already ate one before taking the photo!) The food was absolutely amazing! Both waitress and waiter were fabulous and the restaurant/Cafe itself is very cozy and very fair in pricing. We have found our favorite eatery.
Lovely service. Chicken Vindaloo was tasty, had the meatballs (gluten free) with salsa verde as well which were pretty good but not as good as the vindaloo. Restaurant was a little too warm when we dined. Worth a try, and wouldn't mind coming back next time we're in town, not many places do Indian and Meatball fusion.
100% delicious poke bowls: a perfect variety of flavours, colours, ingredients. Every bowl comes with avocado, kimchi, cabbage, fried onions, edamame, carrot, and a few other things. We enjoyed the half and half rice and spinach base option, which felt like a more light balance than a full bowl of rice. Amazingly, the entire menu is gluten-free and dairy-free! It's a really good area to eat in general, enclosed by a variety of food trucks; we've had some of the best food in the country from them.
Homely ambiance in a family-friendly converted barn decorated with Dutch art and vintage timber furniture. Hearty homestyle food in generous portions. I tried the Prutje pancake in the gluten-free option and had to take half home for dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive, although granted I was the only diner at the time.
Food snobs probably wouldn't enjoy this place, but if - like me - you are charmed by roosters named Grandfather, handmade country style food and charming surroundings, this place is worth a visit.
This was an unexpected delight for us, making a quick choice after a long day, visiting for work and having a particularly more difficult partner to feed. The food was AMAZING! Many items on the menu were able to be made gluten free which wasn’t my initial impression from seeing online, so my one piece of feedback is to add more dietary info to the menu as no doubt other gluten free folk will be pleasantly surprised to find this gem! My partner ordered the Chicken Burger, I had the Beef Brisket burger and we shared some Southern Fried Chicken Bites (also GF). The staff were accommodating and super friendly. 10/10 we reckon, will definitely be back here to eat anytime our travels bring us nearby!

Excellent service and superb food. They helped me find gluten free options in the menu and even adapted the pig trotter wonton. I'm so glad I didn't have to miss out on that one, it was the highlight of my dinner. I will definitely be back.
Highly recommend Mikes Bistro. We had a lovely meal and great selection of cocktails. The deserts were delicious. They also provide a huge range of Gluten Free meals. It made our experience that much better as our daughter had a lot to choose from. The service was great, very friendly staff.
The staff were friendly, but it's very outdated.. The gluten free burger was OK, they have other options that are gluten free but they aren't celiac friendly so that was a bit of a let down.. Might go occasionally for a drink but that's about it 😊
Wow, what an awesome meal. I rarely find places that do gluten free pizzas well, and let me tell you this place makes delicious gf pizzas. It’s a big thumbs up from me.
Field to Fork generously supplied their sausages & patties to the Taranaki Golf Ambrose today. Bring Gluten Free is always a drama at 99% of golf days but their products being gluten friendly products were awesome - and super tasty to boot
Top quality local businesses are gold to our province & this one is absolutely worthy of your support.

We dined here tonight, as a table of 3. Grant was our waiter. What outstanding service. He was very attentive and polite. He was also helpful with the menu as I have celiac disease. Beautiful meal enjoyed by all of us. We will be back.
