This was an absolute delight! We were looking for a place to eat near the Chesapeake Arena after my daughter's graduation. We stumbled upon Franco's and were not disappointed! We were a party of 9 and we were seated almost immediately. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing! To add, they were able to accommodate 2 of our guests who had gluten allergies! They had their choice of pasta or pizza which made me love this place even more! Will definitely be visiting again!

We went to Matthew's 1600 for the Thanksgiving buffet. Reservations were required, but I had no issue with that a few weeks in advance. I think the price was on par with most buffets. Gratuity was included in our bill already. They had simple white lights and flowers to decorate and the buffet line went smoothly. There were a variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten free dishes. My favorite was the seafood pasta (crab and shrimp with cream sauce and penne). They included a carving station, which is a nice touch. The dessert table had multiple options from cake to pudding. Overall, the experience was very nice. They do have a handicapped entrance, but please be aware that there are also a lot of stairs on the other side of the restaurant.
This spot stands out for its wide variety of gluten-free bowl options, making it a haven for those with dietary restrictions. The fresh, wholesome organic ingredients shine in every customizable salad, ensuring a safe and delicious experience. The friendly atmosphere and lively interior design create an inviting space where gluten-free diners can enjoy flavorful dishes like the Maryland crab soup and roasted red pepper with Gouda soup without worry.

I have been interested in this restaurant for a little while, but had never visited until recently. I appreciate the wide variety of food offered, including for various diets and food allergies (gluten-free, vegan, etc). We have gotten the family meals a couple of times and have really enjoyed those. I would recommend any salad, as it has been very fresh when I have had it. I especially like the Maryland crab soup, as well.
Pictured is one of the family meals, which was gluten-free. It came with a large salad as well!
Edit: I returned for lunch with one of my kids who has a few food allergies. We both had a half bowl, which comes with a small drink. We ate there. I like that the bowls are very easily customized, and there are many options ok for dairy-free, nut-free, and gluten-free diets. My daughter was especially excited about a dairy-free, nut-free, gluten-free brownie that we bought at the checkout. There were plenty of tables to eat there, though I imagine it would get full at peak times. I will definitely return.
This cozy spot stands out for its gluten-aware chef who personally ensures safe and delicious options, crafting dishes like a special gluten-free Pad Thai that delights the palate. The warm, inviting atmosphere complements the authentic Thai flavors, making it a true gem for gluten-sensitive diners seeking flavorful, worry-free meals.
