Nowhere on the menu was it listed that they had grilled or gluten free options and the staff didn't ask. When they brought out an extremely over cooked dry deep fried chicken I said I couldn't eat it. The manager offered to only take half off. After making the point that im not going to pay for something I can't eat they said they'd take it off. We left without my husband eating as they staff was short with us after that and rude. Will not be back.
Edit. They did NOT offer an alternative option. At no point did they ever answer my questions of a grilled option whatsoever. Absolute lies to their reply to my comments.
Hoo boy. My French toast was moldy, my hash browns had black stuff from a dirty grill, and my second round of hash browns was bitter.
My wife ordered off the gluten free menu and explained to the waitress that she was Celiac. The waitress, who had no idea what Celiac was said "it's ok, I accept you!" She was brought bacon that had been fried in a fryer with gluten, and was clearly hours old.
Edit: after we told the manager (one of three present) about the moldy French toast, she said the mold was just a blueberry. At least one of the three managers should have been keeping an eye on the dirty grill, the moldy food, and the gluten cross contamination. The manager didn't charge us for our food and offered us $5 off coupons for the next time.
We're not coming back.
We have one non-dairy, one gluten-free, and one picky eater. N&C works well for us, though non-dairy options are very limited. If you're dairy-free, hope you like pad thai!
Great food made from locally sourced ingredients. They have gluten free options available for those with celiac. The inside was clean and the lights were dim which was nice, i do not like super bright lights. Has a comfortable environment.
New favorite! Super helpful staff, delicious food. The google review pictures don’t do it justice. We asked about Gluten Free options, and they said they can make any taco gluten free.
Ozark Mountain Biscuit and Bar has fast become a family favorite—with something for everyone. The salads are fresh and delicious, and the chicken sandwich is so good. It’s hard to choose what to order! I love the attention to detail on the homemade condiments and extras, and the gluten-free cornbread is amazing. A local treasure!
Edited to add that the burger gets the distinction of “one of the best burgers I’ve ever had” from a teenager who is somewhat of a burger connoisseur.
The sushi was good, and I loved that they had a gluten-free menu. I do think they need to work on ambiance, though. The atmosphere was not on the same level as the food or the service, which was also great. All in all, they are doing the most important things right, but when I go out, I also want to enjoy the environment, and I think a lot of people do too. Food and service are definitely five stars, and my cocktail was really good too.
It is the best place I have eaten in CoMo. The beet salad was really amazing, I would go back for that. My vegetarian friend was so pleased with the entree. My gluten free friend also enjoyed everything she had. So great for dietary restrictions.
The staff promised me the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had and they definitely lived up to that promise. I would drive several hours to eat it— and am in fact craving it right now! The atmosphere is lively and homey, and I really enjoyed dining with my friends here.
Culver's frozen custard is absolutely divine! I was worried about my blood sugar spiking since they don't have sugar-free options, but my blood sugar stayed steady. Another plus is they have gluten-free buns for sandwiches. The service is friendly, but not very fast, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
As someone who can’t have gluten, I was so impressed with Dickey’s BBQ Pit! The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and careful. They explained all the gluten-free options, offered to change gloves, and used a fresh cut of meat to avoid cross-contamination. I had the brisket plate with potato salad and baked potato casserole—everything was fresh, delicious, and safe for me to eat. It’s rare to find a place that truly understands gluten-free needs, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and I've had a lot of fear going to a restaurant as I've tried my hardest to eliminate gluten in her diet. However, my daughter had honor roll this semester and really wanted to eat out
I called and was able to speak with Taylor; she was so kind and even went to the kitchen to ask about GF items, so much so that she even checked the seasoning on the steaks. I'm so grateful that even on a Saturday night, the time was taken to do this.
Thank you Taylor!
This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time! Gluten free crepe was also amazing according to my celiac daughter. Highly recommend if you're looking for something a little different than the usual fare.
We went for the first time last night and everything we had was great! The pizza was cooked perfectly and the crust was really good. I brought home leftovers for my son, and he said it was the best pizza he’s ever had. My husband ordered the Gnocchi alla Romana and it was delicious! A member of our party is gluten intolerant and our server did a great job explaining which dishes were gluten free and which could be modified to make them gluten free. I’m excited to have a good Italian restaurant in town! We will definitely be back!
