Came in for the gluten free cheesesteak as I kept seeing it recommended online. It was a solid sandwich. The GF bread was the best part. The steak and cheese needed a little love, some seasoning, and a little more of it in the sandwich.
Narrow restaurant with limited seating inside. Line moved quickly and the smell of grilled meat and onions made us hungry.
Ordered Sonny’s loaded cheesesteak with onions mushrooms and peppers with onion rings and fries. The sandwich was stuffed with meat and the provolone was gooey. Excellent sandwich and the rings were thick and crispy
My wife got the gluten free bun and it was excellent. Highly recommended.
We took our sandwiches to a nearby park to eat lunch. My daughter shared her pictures with me for this post
Sometimes, all ya really want is a good ol' gluten free breakfast sandwich, and thankfully, High Street delivers!
Apparently you can order a GF loaf ahead of time as well, in case you were wondering. The man working was super nice 🙂
Also very happy that they have delicious modification options, so my maple sausage, egg + cheese with avocado + caramelized onions was super flavorful and juuust a little bigger than I could finish.
Their pastries and refrigerated sides look super good; only one gf chocolate muffin available.
Small place with enough seating for 4-5 inside and 6 outside.
& the fresh OJ was super fresh!
Our server Aidys was excellent! Really made our first time here spectacular! I have a gluten allergy and he was so knowledgeable and patient with my questions. Employee of the month for Aidys! And obviously the food was delicious!
Everyone was wonderful! Our waitress asked the chef if he could make a meal I wanted gluten free, and they did! It was amazing! Both my husband and I had wonderful time!

During our recent visit to Pennsylvania, my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic spot that truly exceeded expectations. For a very reasonable price of $59, we enjoyed a delicious spread, including tacos with a side of chili, two burgers with fries, tea, and two waters. One of the standout features was that everything on the menu could be made gluten-free, which was a huge plus for us. The buns on the burgers were especially delicious—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The atmosphere was just right—not too loud or crowded—creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. The service was top-notch as well. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. A nice touch is the digital payment option on the receipt, where you can easily pay and leave a tip with a code.
Overall, the experience was fantastic, and we are definitely looking forward to coming back the next time we’re in the area. If you’re in PA and craving some great food in a comfortable setting, this place is highly recommended! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
We always love visiting the Hard Rock, no matter which city we’re in, and this was no exception. The food tasted great, but was a tad expensive when compared to other local restaurants. Also, for gluten-free options, you’re limited to mashed potatoes instead of fries, which isn’t ideal. Where we’re from in the UK, gluten-free fries are available in the Hard Rock, so I don’t know why the same can’t be true in America too. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was everything you’d expect from a Hard Rock.
Fantastic meal. The staff was incredibly knowledge about gluten and celiacs and could go through the entire menu telling me what I could and couldn't get. Would absolutely go there again. Best sushi I have ever had.
I chose this place for my 6th anniversary specifically for the reviews I saw for GF homemade noodles + deserts. As a celiac, they sounded delicious. I was extremely disappointed when we got there to find out they only served GF penne (not homemade). The quality of the penne were similar to a cheap GF box of penne, to the point it was impossible to use a fork without them falling apart.
The sauce, however, was delicious and my scallop appetizer was out of this world.
The only desert offered that is GF was ice cream, for the price I could eat ice cream at home and have the same satisfaction.
Our waiter on the other hand was fantastic, quick, and very knowledgeable on what items on the menu were gluten free. Granted, there wasn’t many entrée options that were GF, he was still able to explain without issue.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back to pay for an upscale restaurant for GF penne bolognese.
I had another incredible dinner here yesterday. The experience from start to finish was wonderful. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. I have to eat gluten free as a result of a medical diagnosis and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely return to Fork again soon.
The woman working was quite grumpy.
The wait was atrocious! And I mean atrocious - 30 minutes for two Philly cheesesteaks and some chips.
They mixed up our orders, my husband wanted everything loaded on his and I wanted mine plain with cheese, meat and jalapeño and gluten free bun. They made them backwards but we didn’t dare complain and wait again. I just only ate part of mine. And then felt super hungry afterwards.
I also didn’t want to complain because the woman was so grumpy.
The chips were great.
Google only asks about the table wait, so the table was actually fast to get. But the food order was the slowest I’ve ever had at a market ever!
I hadn't been to this BurgerFi since my last trip to Philadelphia in over 3 years. I knew from their previous location (across the street from Reading Terminal Market) their food was some of the best! I used to just eat here during my stays from New York.
Was very happy to have found them inside the new mall's food court, and was looking forward to having what was my first meal in over 5 hours, having just come from my Flix Bus.
I ordered my usual: double bacon cheese burger green styled (lettuce wrapped), and a CriFry. The young lady behind the counter was kind enough to check the ingredients of the shakes (I can't have gluten or corn due to my disability), which I appreciate her doing. When my burger came out I was very disappointed with the lack of lettuce! I only got 3 pieces, one of which was broken and had soaked up the grease of my burger.
On the other hand my CriFry was good. Fried and salted perfectly!
The tables were clean. Chairs were clean as well. Only complaint not related to food is that I felt like the rubbish (trash) bins were too far away from the tables. I didn't want to leave my luggage and backpack unattended and risk them getting stolen.
Otherwise I would come back again in the future.
The ambiance, the service, and the vibes here are 10/10! We did our monthly dinner club here and Luis & Jane treated us like family. The showstoppers were the beet salad, pork chops, trofie pasta, and all of the desserts. They ran out of gluten free dessert so the owner literally ran to buy me ice cream. Cappuccinos after dinner were the cherry on top. Definitely recommend!
The food is phenomenal- the owner told us how he makes things fresh from scratch every morning and I believe it. It is not a fancy restaurant (not a white tablecloth place) but the staff is attentive, it is spotlessly clean, and the prices beyond reasonable. I’m gluten free and they were helpful in modifying my dinner so I was completely comfortable with it. My husband definitely not gluten free and said the bread was fabulous. I love the variety of customers - students, families, couples. Highly recommend.
I loved my growler of Cabernet Sauvignon. I was thrilled that they had gluten-free options. I had the brussel sprouts and the buffalo cauliflower tacos. Both were delicious!
I rented a car and drove in from New York specifically to see Sy Smith and she did not disappoint! Both she and her band were amazing.
The turkey was delicious. I eat gluten free and they don’t have GF bread but he sold me 1/3 pound of turkey w lettuce, tomato and onion in a container. The server was kind and helpful and the price with tip was less than $9. It was delicious .
TLDR; multiple gluten free options, accommodating staff
Came here for a quick bite with friends and had a wonderful time. They were booked up but let us sit at the bar. Our bartender was very kind and let us try out some wines before we ordered. It was very cold outside but the temperature inside was complimentary: warm without having to strip layers.
We ordered a few rolls and an appetizer that were all exactly as described. One of our party is gluten free (not by choice) and our bartender was very attentive to ensure that what she ordered was edible for her. We ordered a shrimp tempura roll and a rittenhouse roll while our gluten free friend enjoyed a peppered tuna roll and tuna tartare.
10/10 we will definitely go back while we are in town.
We came to LaScala’s on a Thursday night with a large group while in Philly for a conference. We were helped by Nick who was outstanding. He was very attentive. He kept updating us throughout our dinner on things that were coming out and when things were delayed, let us know.
I am gluten intolerant and asked Nick for help on the menu. He informed me all sauces are made fresh, in house so anything with a sauce could have gluten containing ingredients just not put in or replaced. They also offered gluten free pasta! He was very knowledgeable of what would be safe for me. I got the spicy chicken cutlet rigatoni which had burrata, a vodka sauce, and Mike’s Hot Honey with grilled chicken and gluten free sauce. It was DELICIOUS! My friend got the non-gluten free version and felt it was alright, not outstanding.
We ordered drinks; three of us got espresso martinis. I thought it was delicious as it was bold and strong but if that is not how you like it, I recommend adding Bailey’s or going for another drink.
The other pictured foods are those of my colleagues: gnocchi, lemon crab and shrimp over linguini, and a LaScala chopped salad. All said their dishes were very good!
All around we had a great experience and Nick provided outstanding service for our large group!
