We were so excited to find gluten free crepes in Ketchikan! They were delicious. Take out only from a little window, lovely to enjoy as we wandered Creek St.
Gluten Free!!! They can make all but 2 dishes gluten free and it’s DELICIOUS! If you are celiac though they use the same griddles. Service was wonderful!
This is our favorite restaurant not only in Girdwood but in the greater Anchorage area. Very cozy space with great food and drinks. The menu is very celiac-friendly but it doesn’t feel forced.

This was like a restaurant/bar straight out of Red Dead Redemption! So cool and such a fun place. We arrived at 4:10pm and were told we could have a drink in the saloon as the dining room didn’t open until 5pm, which we would then be seated immediately. I had a chocolate martini and my husband had a hot apple pie alcoholic drink which tasted great!
At 5pm we were sat in the dining room, and our server was Elizabeth and she was SO nice! 11/10 for service!! Being gluten free, I had the lamb chops and they were divine. The meat was cooked to perfection (I asked for medium) and we couldn’t believe it when Elizabeth carried over a whole platter of desserts for us to visually choose from. Very awesome way of seeing the desserts!
We had a lovely time there, it was a little quiet when we arrived because it was so early on, but it started to fill up as the night continued. Would recommend!
Seafood Gemelli was ridiculously good!! I will definitely be back specifically for that dish. They do have a few gluten free options available if you have dietary restrictions.
The food was not as listed. I specifically said i have allergies and was looking for things I could eat. The server said he would check with cooks.. i settled on a shared appetizer that showed no gluten ingredients... it came covered in breadcrumbs. When I mentioned that wasn't listed in ingredient he said what do you want me to do? I asked if I could order another one without the breadcrumbs and he said no.
I skipped the appetizer. Went to main dish. I asked again about allergens. And was told the meat I wanted was gf so I got it on salad and said no tomatoes since another allergy. My salad came with halved tomatoes. I removed a dessert plate full. Went home with hives. I should have just sent it back but there were others in my party, and I didn't want to make a scene. Would not recommend.
The chowder was perfect but the salmon was a little dry. The service was very good and really tried to help with our gluten free requirements. Unfortunately, there weren't a lot of GF options . Otherwise, the whole experience was good.
If you're in Sitka, you absolutely cannot miss dining at Beak Restaurant. This hidden gem, nestled on the lower level of a local radio station, is worth the slight detour. The food is nothing short of extraordinary—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully crafted. I had the pleasure of trying the gooseneck barnacles appetizer for the first time, and it was a delightful and unique experience. For my main course, the blackened lingcod sandwich was perfectly spicy and satisfying. The rockfish tacos, crunchy and gluten-free, were a standout with their incredible taste.
Beak shines not only in its food but also in its inclusivity and friendliness. They offer a range of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, all clearly marked, and proudly support the LGBTQ+ community and Indigenous peoples. The restaurant's welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food make it a must-visit spot. If you find yourself in Sitka, do yourself a favor and make Beak a priority.
If you are gluten free, DO NOT believe what the menu says or the wait staff. I was choosing between fish or a crab sampler which included clam chowder and a crab cake. Both entrees were marked gluten free. I asked the waiter because I never see chowder or crabcakes gluten free. He showed me on the menu where it said GF. I chose the halibut to be safe but wanted some chowder if it truly was GF. The chowder by itself or crab cake was not marked GF on the menu. When he came back the cook told him they were not GF. Had I believed the menu and waiter and ordered, I would have been incredibly sick. Besides this the halibut was average at best and I had to ask for the asparagus that was supposed to be included with my meal because they just dropped a plate of fish and potatoes on my table and forgot the included seasonal vegetable. I won't be back.
The best crab ever! Service was outstanding and super friendly. Great experience and aware of gluten allergies but we did only eat crab. lol it’s all that was needed. I’d definitely recommend and come back.
On the boardwalk with outdoor seating! They have gluten free burger buns, tortillas for fish tacos, and can do grilled fish instead of battered for fish and chips.
I recently dined at Resurrection Roadhouse restaurant and, overall, I was not very impressed. While making reservations was easy and the restaurant itself was spacious, the experience did not justify the high prices.
There were multiple gluten-free options on the menu, which was a plus. However, the steak and fries I ordered turned out not to be fully gluten-free, and I couldn't have the fries. The crabcake I tried was extremely expensive for the small portion served. My salad, which was supposed to include goat cheese, had almost no cheese at all.
As for the main courses, my steak was just okay but quite small for the price. My wife had fish and chips, but she couldn't eat the fish because it seemed the grease used for frying was old.
Overall, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations, especially considering the high prices. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless they make significant improvements to both their food quality and portion sizes.
