The Pump House Restaurant Fairbanks

Made a reservation for 5 pm on Sunday not knowing it was only a Buffett because their website only states it at the bottom of the page and not when making a reservation. We were rudely told when bringing out infant in that we should have said that on the reservation. I did put in the comments that we’d have two toddlers and one infant. I have celiac and could eat some of the items but after cross contamination (gravy in the mashed potatoes) there was really only prime rib I could eat for a true protein option. They didn’t even give us a discount after I tried to eat some of the veggies but they were still frozen. I told the staff about this so no one else would be disappointed. Not worth the $45 per person

Shout out to chef Cleveland and server Sterling! It was Sunday all you can eat dinner buffet night - looking around I did not feel comfortable getting any of the buffet options until Sterling got chef Cleveland who walked me through what was gluten free! Bonus chef Cleveland even made me a special perfectly cooked halibut dinner! That’s going above and beyond.

This was like a restaurant/bar straight out of Red Dead Redemption! So cool and such a fun place. We arrived at 4:10pm and were told we could have a drink in the saloon as the dining room didn’t open until 5pm, which we would then be seated immediately. I had a chocolate martini and my husband had a hot apple pie alcoholic drink which tasted great! At 5pm we were sat in the dining room, and our server was Elizabeth and she was SO nice! 11/10 for service!! Being gluten free, I had the lamb chops and they were divine. The meat was cooked to perfection (I asked for medium) and we couldn’t believe it when Elizabeth carried over a whole platter of desserts for us to visually choose from. Very awesome way of seeing the desserts! We had a lovely time there, it was a little quiet when we arrived because it was so early on, but it started to fill up as the night continued. Would recommend!
