We love Lazy Fish!! Their food is so delicious and fresh!! The remodel looks awesome!!! And we just love the staff!!! Cheyanne and Prym always remembers us and they take amazing care of us!! I have a gluten allergy and I’ve never gotten sick!! Thank you for all your care!! We’ll be back soon!! 🩷🩷
Really really yummy food!!!! I got the chicken and frice so much, I can't have gluten. It was beautiful food. Everything was soooo fancy. It was a joy to go.!
We were so happy with our dinner here! The server was extra sweet and attentive to our needs and the needs of our kids. The food was delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced.
I especially appreciated the gluten-free menu and the server’s knowledge of what was gluten free (for example, when I ordered the sushi rice, she marked for the cook to not use a certain flavoring ingredient that contained gluten). My gluten-free order was served on separate dishes from the other orders.
Overall, a very nice family experience. We are happy to have a healthy restaurant that we can enjoy as a family.
Has an entire gluten free menu. Finally had sushi after many years with celiac. Food was delicious and staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about menu and gluten. Will definitely be going back!!
So happy to see a full gluten free menu at this establishment! This is such a difficult thing to find, especially for this kind of cuisine. I had the gluten free shrimp fried rice and absolutely loved it! I can't wait to try their other gluten free dishes!
My only complaint was that there were no sushi rolls listed on the gluten free menu and when I asked if any of them were gluten free or could be made that way I was told that only the veggie rolls were gluten free. Would really like to see this change.
Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!
Great place to go for gluten free or celiac people! Owner came out when my partner picked up our first order without any prompting and reassured us that gloves had been changed before preparing the gluten free selections, they had been packaged separately, and gluten free soy sauce had been included, and encouraged us to call ahead and ask about additional things they can make gluten free. It was incredibly thoughtful and thorough, and really refreshing when most places look absolutely baffled when you bring up gluten free food. I had the Saint Patrick roll and the Yummy roll, which were great!
Best sushi I have ever had. Open Christmas Day for shortened hours.
Gluten Free Sushi 🍣 with amazing classic options. Even on Christmas they offered to customize the few sushi items that had gluten.
Great for take out or eat in. Right on the Lake. Perfect for to go picnics when there are Lakeside events. I imagine that they have several other people who feel this way so I would be sure to place order at least an hour before pick up time when Lake side evening events occurring.
They are able to do a gluten free hibachi chicken which is really good. Excellent service, and delicious food. The coconut cream pie drink is really good.
My family and I have been coming here for years. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. 3 out of 5 of us have celiac disease (cannot eat gluten) and they are so good with us. They prepare it separately, and have gf soy sauce. They always greet us with smile. The service is amazing and pricing is great. Food is delicious, great atmosphere. Go try it today, you won’t be disappointed.
Mr. Han is the greatest :) His staff is just as fantastic as he is.
Also, my food allergy to Gluten is understood and I never have a problem.
The young waitress that took my order and the gentleman that served it were so friendly.
Whenever I want Sushi and I'm working in Maryland, this is the only restaurant I'll go to.
The fish was good/average. There were a decent number of options. We ordered pickup and had a gluten allergy in the group, they specifically packaged all of the gluten free rolls separately and included a cup of GF soy sauce, all without us asking, which was greatly appreciated.
The spicy rolls were not spicy at all. The spicy mayo tasted like regular mayo though it was slightly red/orange like you'd expect spicy mayo to be.
But I'd definitely order from here again for the peace of mind with allergies.
Excellent food! You may have to wait a little bit, but that's part of the experience, and we don't mind waiting for the best sushi in town! If you are gluten-free, you can safely eat here as well, which is a huge plus!
This is a solid pick for sushi in South Baltimore.
The staff is attentive and accommodating, especially Shay - she's just a top notch server that makes the place feel like home. Tell her your allergies and they can do nut free, and gluten free without fear of contamination.
Long list of specialty rolls and a little light on the standards. Specifically missing things like a sashimi platter and ramen/udon. They more than make up for this with their salads though. Try the spicy tuna salad - it is an entire meal unto itself.
Kid friendly and very clean. Bathrooms are especially nice but lacking a changing table. Street parking only but not much of a walk from the garage by cross street market.
They open at 5pm, so stop in for a couple rolls and sake, then walk to Chatime, Taharka Brothers in cross street market or Bmore licks a little further north for your dessert.
Shoyu is a little pricier than your other sushi takeout spots, but it is worth it.
This was our first time and we'll definitely be back. Dine in option is small but the staff was friendly and quick. We enjoyed all the sushi we chose. They were helpful with gluten free option and knowledge.
Kusshi came through with an incredible offer to treat our teachers and staff to lunch during Teacher Appreciation Week at our elementary school. They provided generous bento boxes that accommodated vegetarian, vegan and gluten free requests. The food was sooooo delicious and everyone raved! The event was a huge success thanks to the kindness and generosity of Wesley Yao and staff! Fox Chapel Elementary School appreciates you all!
This was my first time at SushiQ8 in Eldersburg and I ordered the Winter Soup and a glass of Rose. I was happy with this spacious and gorgeous restaurant with top notch service. However, the food was lackluster. My soup was luke warm and the shrimp were tough and overcooked. The broth was flavorless. The oodon noodles were yummy. I enjoyed the little freebies they brought out but wish they had something for my friend who has a gluten allergy. My friend noticed what she thought may have been a parasite or worm in her sushi (raw salmon). I won't be here again. There are plenty of better sushi restaurants here like Tony's, J&Y and Haiko.
KATANA JAPANESE CUISINE
Clarksville
My first time visiting this neighborhood staple and cozy Japanese restaurant that serves an extensive menu of sushi and hibachi selections. The emphasis is on fresh ingredients and a friendly atmosphere.
Our server was very familiar with the menu and ingredients. This was helpful for 2 in our party who were gluten free. He was friendly and accommodated separate checks for our party of 10 people.
Food:
Was enjoyed by the majority of our group. The dishes we chose came out as they were prepared so whatever needed to be hot was served hot.
The sushi,I would say, is the hallmark of their menu. Made as ordered and given a hearty appreciation by those who had gluten free limitations. Other special requests were happily accommodated.
The only thing I can attest to, since I ordered it…a wish for a lighter batter to be used for their tempura. I know what I order will have been deep fried but when the batter is thick, it becomes heavy and greasier from the oil it was cooked in. There were plentiful amounts of shrimp with sliced vegetables, I had leftovers to bring home.
We enjoyed our gathering. The space is small with dark wood accents but kept clean and quiet enough to carry non-competing conversations with our group. The prices were pretty reasonable and the food was enjoyed, especially those who had diet restrictions.
I will probably return with my husband or a smaller more intimate grouping.

From the first taste of the edamame, I thought, "Were these just picked from a garden??" Yes, they purchased the best. The tamago sushi was unique and delicious with a tasty savory ingredient added. The green salad ginger dressing was also made in house and was the perfect blend of flavors. And the cucumber in the cucumber avocado roll was sliced very thin - it melted in your mouth. The green tea was authentically Japanese, and our cups were always re-filled. The fried rice, yaki-tori, and yaki soba were all enjoyed by my family. I am a gluten free vegetarian, and I was very happy with my meal - delicious.
