I LOVE this place! They take gluten free seriously and it is delicious. Fried chicken, fish and chips… things you can’t find elsewhere.
My deep thanks to the owners.
Such an amazing experience talking to Lauren and hearing all about the yummy foods and how they are made. She was so knowledgeable and caring. Soo many options and variety of gluten-free and vegan foods! And the drinks! Amazing! We had 2 servings of an iced mocha latte made by Sarah! Absolutely delicious!
The menu of this restaurant is deceptive. If you have celiac, you cannot eat many of the items marked as gluten free, as they do not have a dedicated fryer. So, basically, it’s “gluten free” but not really. And, rather than source tortilla chips from another business that is gluten free, they fry everything together. Also, they ran out of mushrooms for the Bistec de Palomilla, so I guess you need to arrive very early for dinner. It was a disappointing evening, even though the food we were able to have was good.
We had a girls trip and spontaneously came here for dinner. Definitely worth it; we had delicious street tacos and Shanna was the most wonderful waitress. She was super knowledgeable on dietary restrictions (one of us was gluten-free) and was just lovely. Definitely recommend coming here, you get your money‘s worth!
I'm gluten free not always easy to find a good place to eat.But found Kayak Kafe' had a turkey avocado sandwich that was amazing! A small salad with cilantro lime dressing freshly made in house was one of the best dressings I have ever had. My husband had a cucumber lemonade that was delicious! Would visit again if ever I'm in town.
We eat here about once a month, and I absolutely LOVE enjoying the Pork Belly Tacos with a Hazy IPA on the outdoor patio with some fantastic weather.
My partner is both Gluten Free (Celiac) and vegetarian, and she’s never had tummy problems after eating here. There aren’t a ton of taco options for her to choose, but she REALLY enjoys the fried plantains & street corn. Then there’s usually 2-3 taco options as well.
They were very considerate of my gluten allergy and I had no reactions to their food! They have baked chips that are gluten free if you ask and they have a gluten free menu as well. I got the beef Enchiladas and it was sooo good! The waiter was still in training but was very very good. Definitely will be back!
WOW this place is a little tucked away but so amazing. Entirely gluten free kitchen and attentive staff! Shout out to Adrianna and Noelle. We had a wonderful lunch with generous portions of guac, queso, and salsa and super flavorful tacos a la carte! Thank you for being open on the 4th of July!
Had a great first experience here!! I am celiac and they were able to accommodate! The staff was super helpful and extremely friendly! Elijah was awesome at the bar and made killer mocktails for me! Will be back!
I had the opportunity to stop by today. Jade was my waitress. She caught on when I mentioned I wanted to order something gluten free and told me the chips were unsafe! Which is awesome, and means a lot to me. I have a fear of going out due to cross-contamination getting me sick and she looked out for me.
She brought me new, safe chips which were delicious. Other folks with a gluten allergy, consider checking this place out!
Kinda place you eat every grain of rain to clean your plate. If you love hibachi, tacos, and vegan food, also gluten-free, don't miss this place. So good.
Chef & cashier was friendly and attentive, and very helpful.
In a food hall eatery, w/inside and outdoor seating. Personally, I love that kind of atmosphere, but if you don't, plan to get Togo and visit a nearby park.
DONT GO IF YOU HAVE CELIAC! Stopped here after seeing posts about them having GF options. Their menu had stars next to options that were “gluten free”. The woman that took our order asked how severe my allergy was and I explained I have celiac. She said they were unable to accomodate me. They dont have separate fryers or counters that do not come in contact with gluten.
Dairy/vegan free & gluten free options available! I love this place. The line is always long but worth the wait! If you grab a drink at the bar, then wait in line with friends you won't even notice you are waiting! The food is delicious and when the weather is nice it's a perfect place to go!
A local gem with wonderful food at a reasonable price! We’ve visited at least once or twice a month for the last year and it never disappoints. They have extensive gluten free options and a salsa bar. We also love their outdoor patio and margaritas/cocktails. Love this place!
Love the Taco Stache and we go every time we are in town. Love the nachos and they are gluten free too. The chips are thin and crisp. Margaritas are very good also. Everything we have tried is very delicious.
This meets my lunch needs well. I can get rice, beans, chicken, and vegetables for under $10 for a filling lunch. It is made fresh in front of me. The line goes pretty quickly.
I don't do dairy, gluten, soy or nuts and this place makes that easy. It has better selection than Chipotle and better quality than Moe's.
There are days when the line is too long or the crew is a little off but they are few and far between. It's a reliable winner.
Told the staff of my allergy prior to them preparing my food. They changed their gloves and had only one person handle my food down the line. Super happy they were concerned with the safety of my food. It's hard eating out sometimes, and at times I feel like an inconvenience, but I felt absolutely safe eating here. Especially with how they handled it all. Fellow celiacs, feel safe knowing our gluten allergy isn't taken lightly!
Such a pretty restaurant! Food was great, it is a more upscale Mexican restaurant and you want to make reservations if going during peak time. The drinks were great and the pork belly tacos were out of this world! They are also accommodation for those with gluten allergies. Can't wait to go back.
My husband and I are Bartaco’s biggest fan! We live very close by and are becoming regulars! The tacos are insanely good! My favorite is the pork belly and the duck taco. Our favorite appetizer is by far the tuna poke, I’m born and raised in Hawaii (and actually Polynesian) and I give this poke a standing authentic ovation. The staff is super friendly and the music is always a total vibe! Also, the drinks are chefs kiss!! Another plus: I have celiac disease and they are super accommodating and besides maybe 2 things on the menu, everything is naturally GF! SO GOOD!
Most nasty tacos iv ever had. I got corn bc I can not do gluten they did not cook the tortilla so I was not able to eat it I guess they forget but was raw. The steak had no Flovor and I spent 50 bucks for 7 tacos crazy I know if you are a tacos lover and know your tacos do no go here if u just love to think ur cool and appropriate different cultures without doing your due diligence on flavor, concept or idea then go here. SMH to charge someone eight dollars for one single taco is robbery and that’s not including tax. I really wanted to like it because I was thinking maybe the price is not high because they’re really just not good at tacos unfortunately I was wrong if I could get my money back I definitely would. Overhyped, overpriced and extreme disappointment
Attention Celiacs! Chef Weems is amazing! I have celiac and she knows her stuff! Tacos, bowls, and/or drinks are worthy of a walk or drive. Avoid anything fried, as well as the chicken and tofu because they are marinated in soy sauce. The service, atmosphere and food is a 10+!
Plant-based and Gluten sensitive when traveling can be difficult... NOT HERE.
I enjoyed a burrito bowl with rice, beans a ton of toppings... delicious 😋
** the spinich burrito wrap is not gf**
Better than Moe's and Chipotle hands down!
It looked as though 3 very young men were running this restaurant. The restaurant didn't seem very clean with cleaning supplies everywhere. The back door was propped open, and I do not know how safe that is. I explained about my gluten intolerance. My husband had to tell the young man to finish mine before he touched his gluten items. I did feel nausea for the next 5 hours. Willy's is my husband's favorite restaurant, but I have to say I was disappointed.

This is a celiac’s paradise. They claim that 90% of the menu is gluten free, but honestly, the only things that were not able to made gluten free were a couple of the desserts and beer. What a treat!
Strange has excellent tacos, a beautiful outdoor area, and is all good vibes! I’ve been here multiple times and everything I’ve tried was yummy. They will gladly change out flour for corn tortillas if you ask, and will do their best to accommodate your dietary needs when possible.
On my most recent visit I had the Tot-chos. They are nachos with tots instead of chips. I added steak and I have to say, they were excellent and the whole bowl cost about the same price as a Chipotle burrito bowl, which seems reasonable.
One consideration: if you have issues with gluten, they do have one frier for everything, so the odds are good that you will have a hard time here.
Went through the drive through and ordered 2 grilled chicken tacos with soft corn shells because I am gluten free. I received flour shells instead. Had to go in to get them changed. They didn't really seem to care about the mistake. The tacos were good though.
Yummy food! Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options, my favorite is the Tofu Bahn Mi as a taco bowl.
Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, and offer a discount for SCAD students :^)
This review is based on a delivery order with Uber Eats. I have never been in this establishment in person.
My daughter asked me one night if I wanted a taco. She gave me a Birria Taco. The flavors bloomed in my mouth. It tasted so darn good. I thought about that taco all night.
The next day I ordered my own. Omg! I purchased Shrimp Tacos, Al Pastor Tacos, Birria Barbacoa with extra cilantro and onions, Pico De Gallo, and Guacamole. At the time it was Buy 1 Get 1 Free so I had two of each taco.
The flavors are amazing in all of them. I will definitely be going to their location because they a large variety of tacos. Not just the basics. I will say the pineapple in the Al Pastor was a hit as well. It was a nice surprise.
If you are allergic to certain foods please read the description carefully. A lot of their menu is also gluten free.

We had delicious food on the porch. The gluten-free and vegetarian options made this the right choice for my guests. The burritos were well made and the other choices were delicious too.
They've beer and wine too.
Wheelchair folks will eat easily, but the counter is high, so ordering will be tougher. Also, the parking's on a steep hill.
Delicious food, my husband and I have tried all the types of tamales, the carne asada fries, sopes and tlayuda mixteca. Love that they have so many things made with corn, makes eating gluten free easy.
Took over 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and the place was empty. Order gluten free carnitas tacos and they put them on flour tortilla also they were very salty.
So here is the thing I teach Zumba and CIRCL Mobility/workout every day. After I teach I want to eat the refrigerator. Lol. Rusty Taco to the rescue! I don’t eat gluten or meat. Having a food allergy can be a drag, but I am accomendated when I go to Rusty Taco. I can order veggie fajita tacos with corn shells. I get a side of rice and beans.
The ambiance is so fun and vibrant. The manager Cameron and front cashier Kayla along with the rest of the staff make sure they give me wonderful customer service. I never have to wait very long for my order. If you are in the area check Rusty Taco out.
Jacoby and Marcus are the employees of the year! We were traveling with our daughter who has Celiac disease and they both immediately changed their gloves, let us know what was safe for her to eat, and made us feel comfortable and safe. The food was delicious and we appreciated the friendliness of Jacoby and Marcus after a long flight. Give these guys a raise.
Amazing service with a great ambience! I orded the Limonada agua frescas and the Pollo con Tequila y Limón for my entree. I enjoyed the patio seating and the food was really good! They have a variety of dietary options which is a plus. They label items specifically for gluten free, gluten free option, vegetarian or vegan. My meal was gluten free and they were able to make it without dairy.
