My partner and I came in the other night for my birthday dinner and I am so glad that we did! Everything was absolutely perfect! We got the feed me option for $65 which is such good value and they had a gluten free option of the whole menu for me! The food was absolutely divine, the chef is incredible. The girl who served us was so attentive and wonderful and made the whole experience so amazing. I will forever rave about this place to everyone I know!
Love this place so much. The food is fantastic, especially the pulled pork chimichanga and the chicken wings-seriously, do NOT skip the chicken wings. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the drinks are amazing (owner has curated a really special selection of alcohol-the tequila and mezcal tasting flights and all of the margaritas are incredible). Lots of gluten free options for coeliacs and options for vegans too.
Most disappointing very small variety, no sandwich or wraps or open melts. Had a limited breakfast menu. My friend is gluten free only had toast so we ordered bacon and eggs, coffee was warm. Wouldn't recommend it. A shame especially when it is part of the information centre. I have said before there's not much to bring tourists into Maitland.

The metro have been amazing. The restaurant has been great with making sure the food is coeliac friendly for our gluten intolerant friends. This place comes highly recommended on my list of go to places for a feed. It's so good I even order it to work far too often. 😂
We have been going to the Family Hotel Maitland (aka Culture Club) too many times to keep count! From the cool vibe and the friendly team with fun banter, you’ll feel right at home with your friends or fam here.
Awesome selection of craft beers with a rare spot in town to sit at the bar, it’s a great place to meet for a drink or dine in. Plus they make the best caramel espresso martinis in town!
Nice variety of food on the menu that has gluten and dairy free options, bringing their quality from a former local fave Coquun to the pub scene. Love the beef brisket salad, barramundi and chips and was surprised by how delicious the salt and vinegar Brussel sprouts are! If you stop in for lunch, you can grab a coffee from the Bearded Cactus on your way out too.
See you again soon guys!
I ordered chilli scrambled eggs on gluten free bread with mushrooms on the side. I receive very dry small buttons, so I had to ask for some butter to rehydrate them! Fyi There was bacon crumb on the eggs, which I was a pleasant surprise!
Food was very tasty and good value for money. Gluten free options were available. I was hopeful to enjoy the honey chicken but wouldnt order again as it was dry and chewy. Other dishes were great.
Hands down the best butter chicken I’ve had in Australia. So flavourful, not too sweet, an awesome nuttiness to the sauce and it just hits the spot. The onion bhaji are incredible, crunchy, salty and so moreish. The naan is delicious. Do yourself a favour and get dinner from here-you won’t regret it. I get a Mannu’s craving at least once a week. Also had plenty of options suitable for my Coeliac mum.
Plenty of Gluten free / Dairy free options! Always friendly service. The cakes available to order are really good too and actually look like the images.
Coming home from an appointment.. saw the sign .. decided to go in nd check it out .. greeted by lovely staff .. Our meals were amazing ..good prices .. quick service .. nd quite a few Gluten Free options.. this is a must restaurant to go to .. we definitely will be going back . Very happy indeed 👍
What a disappointment! Ambience, location and vibe of this place is lovely. Staff friendly but lack knowledge of menu and food regulations. I am Coeliac and ordered a gluten free menu item and specified that I was coeliac when placing my order. When the food came to the table, I was informed that the food contained traces of gluten as it was cooked in a shared fryer. I explained that I could not eat this and reinforced that I had specified coeliac when I ordered. I then had another staff member/perhaps manager come and tell me that the meal is gluten free but just not suitable for coeliac as it is cooked in a shared fryer. After much back and forth we had to agree to disagree that once the gluten free food goes into a shared fryer it is no longer gluten free. In any case I changed my order but had to wait for another meal to be cooked. When we had all just finished our meals we were told we would have to leave as our table was booked for another booking. At no time had we been told our booking was only for 45 minutes. We had no time to have a coffee, we just had to leave.
So very disappointing and I will not return, ambience only counts for so much.
