Stopped here on a road trip given the good reviews and photos of the view. Unfortunately was disappointed. The poached eggs had a harsh vinegar taste and a piece of shell stuck to them. My friend asked if they have plain croissants, they said yes (they’re not on the menu) but did not mention they were $14! No jam, no ham and cheese, literally just the croissant. With a side eggs and toast and a coffee his meal came to a whopping $36. Which is more than if he ordered something fancy on the menu. Further the view was blocked by dark shade cloth. We asked if the shade cloth could be raised. They said because it rained earlier they couldn’t risk it raining again (even though it was bright and sunny when we were there) and having to put the shade back down again. Apparently it’s too much of a hassle. If you are charging $14 for a plain croissant we are paying for the view. They should invest in automatic shades that can be lowered and raised quickly with a button, or windows that preserve the view on days where it might rain a few short times. That said the toast was good. They used a good quality sourdough, nicely charred, but not burnt. The tomato relish was nicely flavorful, not too sweet. Coffee was standard café coffee, nothing to complain about there. Possibly worth a trip on days with a 0% chance of rain, but I’d skip the poached eggs, and order them fried or scrambled instead. Prices for the fancy meals (the breakfast bowl looked really nice) were reasonable given the potential view. Menu was friendly to those with gluten allergies.

A little gem hiding in Raymond Terrace. Was a breath of fresh air to find a good old school take away shop that still puts good quality and care into their food! Had a lovely plain burger with a side of hand cut chips. Was all very tasty and not greasy at all. Also, had a great gluten free bun that we didn’t get charged extra for! And beautiful service from a lovely young girl too! ☺️😊 Thanks guys, we’ll be back next time we’re headed up the coast!

Beautiful, relaxing place to dine. Had delicious gluten free pancakes and tasty coffee. The best pancakes I've ever had, topped in bananas, strawberries, maple syrup and lactose free icecream. Very reasonably priced, friendly owner and staff. Will be back.

Really well cooked steaks, great chips, the mash was nice and the veggies just the right amount of crisp. And clearly marked gluten free dishes. The husband and wife team who run the place are so welcoming. We were heading up to a holiday house near Forster and needed a place to get some dinner because we would be getting in so late, so I booked this pub bistro pretty much at random. When we arrived after a very dark and rainy drive up from Sydney, the proprietor was waiting outside for us, and was so solicitous. His wife came over for a chat, and both were very keen to make sure we had a nice time. The atmosphere is typical for a pub where the locals feel at home, bring their kids and proms and sing karaoke on Friday nights.

Lovely place for a family dinner. The kids are entertained on the playground and the kitchen Staff are very understanding and accomodating of coeliac allergy with gluten free food.
