Spinning Wheel Hotel

Really well cooked steaks, great chips, the mash was nice and the veggies just the right amount of crisp. And clearly marked gluten free dishes. The husband and wife team who run the place are so welcoming. We were heading up to a holiday house near Forster and needed a place to get some dinner because we would be getting in so late, so I booked this pub bistro pretty much at random. When we arrived after a very dark and rainy drive up from Sydney, the proprietor was waiting outside for us, and was so solicitous. His wife came over for a chat, and both were very keen to make sure we had a nice time. The atmosphere is typical for a pub where the locals feel at home, bring their kids and proms and sing karaoke on Friday nights.
