A quick google search found us this gem. We required coeliac safe food and it was in abundance here. The kings stew was some of the yummiest food ive ever had! Sitting us on a public holiday as a group of 7 was no challenge.
Wonderful, soothing lighting and not too many tables squashed together. Not too loud either, you can hear your conversation. Our server was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the drinks cold. They do take away meals too so we got our dessert to take home as we were full but the food was so good we didn’t want to miss out on something tomorrow. I love that nearly everything is gluten free.
Highly recommend the gnocchi and the venue.
Recently dined in with my partner.
Both gluten free bun’s were stale and chips were cold. The buns are consistently stale. Will not be eating here anymore. Point Cook Grill’d is excellent and doesn’t have the same quality control problems as Geelong.
Would I return here? Most definitely! I had the chicken burger, which I would honestly say was one of the best chook burgers I've ever had. The Mrs had the calamari, which was rated 5/5. Importantly, there was complete ease in a ordering celiac meal for our friend. Service was efficient yet friendly. Coffee was excellent. Do yourself a favour and give the Cafe a go!
We dined at Tulip last night and were blown away not only by the food, but by the experience and accommodation of the staff. The venue is situated on a gorgeous laneway, and the restaurant is intimate, clean yet quiet and noise does not echo. We were greeted with the drink menu which has an impressive variety of cocktails, wines and beers. I appreciate the option of being able to order a 'half glass' of wine too - useful when you can't decide like me!
The chef came over with a complimentary tomato and burnt chive oil drink which was a lovely way to start the meal and the flavours were incredibly fresh, unique and moreish - I would come back for this alone! We had the set menu and had a gluten free member on the table - the kitchen was amazingly compromising for this and provided gluten free options for everything. We also opted to not have the lamb on the menu and they were happy to replace it with another main dish. We were served bread, a buckwheat cracker, olives and butter as well as tomatoes and ricotta as entrees - so fresh! A dish of snapper, nasturtium and peas followed which was the best dish I have ever eaten at a restaurant. Mains consisted of a roast chicken with hazelnuts and a rich gravy with a side of potatoes and rosmary butter and a bitter leaf salad. We never order dessert out but were so impressed we had to give it a try - and it didn't disappoint! A chocolate caramel fudge with puffed barley and a malted milk ice cream, a taste bud tantalising adventure that left us all wanting more.
In addition, the staff wished me a happy birthday which was very special. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. Thanks for the wonderful experience Tulip!
The food at Pizza Bar took me back to the pre-COVID days when we could travel and enjoy international cuisine from its country of origin. Unlike other Geelong restaurants that boast of an authentic foreign dining experience, the Pizza Bar located at the heart of Pakington Street really fulfils expectations. My husband has previously failed to find an enjoyable calamari dish in Geelong, yet the Pizza Bar has more than impressed him. Perfectly cooked and crisp to perfection, it complimented my daughter’s potato and leek pizza served on one of the most delectable gluten-free bases I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. 5 stars is simply not enough for this restaurant.
Best food i’ve had in a while! I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting or living in the area. Gluten free friendly as well which was perfect for my son! Even helped my sister by giving her a good time.
Excellent service, quality food, great menu and coffee. Staff are extremely friendly, gluten free and allergy friendly options available. Highly recommend, especially for brunch!
Great customer service from lady, great crispy chips. Helpful and explained our order in regards that would still contain just traces of gluten, which was fine.
We recently had our daughters baptism at The Village Door with 30 guests. It was absolutely phenomenal.
The staff were amazing. The food portions were fantastic, we took some home. The quality of food was great, so authentic and delicious.
The gluten and dairy free meals were also exceptional. Filling and not lacking in taste.
The venue itself is 10/10. Great outdoor area. The kids enjoyed being able to run up and down in the sun while we enjoyed a wine.
It was really Value for money.
Definitely recommend and will return in the future.

Absolutely amazing!! This is one of my favourite restuarants and I go very regularly. The food is so fresh and delicious and actually looks like the pictures on the website. The staff are very kind and helpful. I am also gluten free and there are plenty of options for me. Would highly recommend.
