We had morning tea here today, a fabulous brownie and good coffee. There was such a nice atmosphere, very nice, helpful staff. We enjoyed it so much that we are coming again for breakfast tomorrow. The menu looks good and they also cater well for gluten free.
The sweet crepes were very good. The omelette was one of the best things I've ever tasted - it was bursting with flavour! Service was great and the atmosphere was good too, with some customers speaking French as well which made us feel like it's authentic food. The staff provided some pencils and drawing paper for our toddler, and there are kids options on the menu. They also have gluten-free options.
Best coffee in town! All the girls there are super lovely and bubbly plus there are many gluten free options. Also a great mission behind the place. Love your work đŁđĽđЎ
Well what a experience, being coeliac,I've find it hard to find a good range of food . But stop wondering they have the lot . As for the service up and beyond. Thank you for the service
This place truly deserves six stars! From the moment we arrived at Hummingbird CafĂŠ in Busselton, we were struck by its warmth, charm, and relaxed vibe. The dĂŠcor is stylish yet cosy, with lots of natural light and greenery that makes it feel like a true retreat. But what really set it apart for us was how thoughtfully everything was done â from the food to the service to the location.
Their gluten-free options are absolutely outstanding. So often, gluten-free menus feel like a compromise, but not here. We enjoyed gluten-free toast that was soft and flavourful, muffins that tasted like they were baked fresh that morning, and even beautifully plated gluten-free versions of their signature big breakfast and smashed avo. Every dish was generous, vibrant, and clearly made with love. You could really taste the difference that fresh, quality ingredients make.
The coffee was just as impressive â strong, smooth, and perfectly brewed. I had an oat milk flat white that honestly ranks among the best Iâve had on this trip through WA. And their cold-pressed juices and other beverage options made for a lovely touch.
What made this visit even more enjoyable was the fact that Hummingbird is located right beside a kidsâ playground. It made such a difference for us as parents â our children could play safely within view while we actually got to enjoy our coffee and food without stress. Itâs such a thoughtful setup for families and really elevated the whole experience.
Service was exceptional. Even though the place was buzzing with people, the staff were attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable, especially when it came to food allergies and special diets. They made sure we were well looked after, and their genuine warmth didnât go unnoticed.
All in all, Hummingbird is more than just a cafĂŠ â itâs a place where everyone, whether youâre gluten-free, a coffee lover, or a parent with young kids, can feel at ease and well taken care of. Weâll definitely be coming back next time weâre in Busselton â itâs a rare gem that gets everything right.
The Scotch Fillet was amazing. It just melted in your mouth. Also, our server Sylvia was so accommodating and also so helpful. Gluten free meal was delicious. Great spot
Best gluten free bun Iâve ever had with a burger! Patty was juicy and delicious. The man who served me who I believe is the owner or manager was lovely also. Highly recommend! :)
Such a cute cafe! Kids loved the pancake platters. Plenty of GF options for coeliacs and reassuring staff. Wish we were around long enough to do a pottery workshop!!!
The icecream was top notch. My kids had a a mixture of cones and cups and the wife had a gluten free cone which was good. I got an ice-cream sandwich. Unfotunately the cookies were rock hard so it couldn't really be eaten as an ice-cream sandwich not sure if they were the normal cookies as other review had choc-chip but they only had white-choc cranberry.
There are so few classic Chinese restaurants in the Southwest! Dynasty Chinese are doing a really great job. We are happy to drive from Augusta to Busselton to have a really yummy lunch! Also, I am a 'Glutard' I shouldn't have gluten from wheat. There are no indications that any dishes are gluten-free. I had the Hot and Sour Soup, Special Fried Rice and Szechuan Combination. I cannot guarantee to any CĹliac that they won't have drama. If you're sensistive to gluten, but not someone that has horrible post-gluten exposure symptoms, I'd like you to know I was fine. I know within 5 minutes if a meal harms me. I have learned what I can order. These guys are using good ingredients, making delicious meals, and since I avoided meals that always obviously contain wheat gluten, I had no negative after-effects.
We had chips and potato scallops/cakes. I also had the Snapper Grilled. The chips were thick cut, cooked well and were clearly cooked in their own vat of oil, as there was no taste transfer from fish etc. we got $7 chips for 4 people and threw some out. Service was good and the prices about what I was expecting. The Grilled fish was cooked well and seasoned well. A gluten free grill was available I didnât ask but Iâm assuming this relates to the seasoning. Overall it was a good meal.
Had a lovely meal. I ordered Gluten free and the toast was amazing. Staff assured me that it was GF because it looked to good to be true. Awesome service, Great food and very friendly staff from woe to go. Well Done. I will be back.
Canât recommend Dustyâs more highly. Iâve never been excited to roll out of bed in the morning and have skipped breakfast most of my life, but since these guys opened up with their glorious sourdough bread and amazing sweet and savoury goodies, I run to the kitchen for my morning coffee with a side of Dustyâs delightful fruit sourdough. I donât even really want to post a review in fear of too many people catching on and ruining my life by taking the last loaf because honestly the days Iâve had to go without my toast have been some very sad sad days in my life. I now keep my freezer stocked because no thanks to that kinda sadness!
Growing up I always dreamed of owning my own cake shop one day, but I now concede I could never compete with such passion and perfection so I will leave it to these guys to live out my dreams and rely on them to just feed me their goodies instead. Friendliest most welcoming service even when theyâre run off their feet and exhausted and almost dying - these guys are just SUPERHUMAN genuinely wonderful passionate people and weâre pretty bloody lucky to have such lovely smiling faces in our neighbourhood serving us up their epic goodies.
If you are not gluten intolerant (which I kinda am, but meh, so worth it) I HIGHLY recommend you pay Dusty Buns a visit ASAP. Just donât even think about trying to buy the last almond croissant because I WILL fight to the death if it comes to it.
AMđđđđđZING!
