Wonderful place, that's what I needed. They have a lot of dairy free and gluten free products. When I asked about cakes from this category they had two left, but unfortunately they also contained products that I can't eat, like nuts and cocoa, the staff was very apologetic about not having a cake for me, it was very nice for me. I highly recommend this place🤩🥰
Oh wow! How have I only just found this fabulous cafe? The staff were so friendly and welcoming. There was a separate gluten-free menu with lots of choices-amazing🙂 I had the chicken skewers with the piri piri marinade along with chips and salad. It was delicious. The cafe was clearly extremely popular, so I would advise booking. It's open Wednesday to Saturday. Well worth visiting 👌
The staff were very welcoming, they were happy to go through the menu and offer Gluten Free options which was good for myself. The food was so tasty and went well with their house red wine. Would definitely recommend to others.
This Tea Room was quite busy when I visited; it was a very warm day so there were lots of customers sitting outside enjoying the sunshine.
I chose to sit inside.
I enquired about gluten free options; the owner indicated to several cake/tray bakes however these were in with other cakes, not labelled gluten free and did not have separate serving utensils. I am not coeliac but avoid gluten.
I ordered a tuna mayo jacket which was very tasty but looked ridiculous on an oversized plate with a small amount of salad.
The pot of tea was good.
Do not cater for people with real medical allergies ie celiac stoped doing the gluten free buns but have the option of veg i burgers !!!! Choice / not choice highly disappointed and just shows how much the cretins that own it actually care about there costumers shame on you lot !!!!
Absolutely loved the cheesecake we had here! So friendly and a gorgeous interior, they also cater for gluten free which I thought was really good. Would definitely recommend to all
Great food in a beautiful setting. Lovely art deco restaurant matching with the hotel.
Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive.
Never had a bad experience. Gorgeous gluten free afternoon tea.
Last experience was a disaster.
Management calling me a liar that they had a festive gluten free menu.
Paid for a mulled wine - apparently their warmer was broken so a manager decided to steam it via the coffee machine steam wand. Looked absolutely grim like pond scum wine.
I queried repeatedly why there were inconsistencies between different restaurants within the same chain (Farm House Inn / Green King). I referenced to having been at Elmwood Farms, Sheffield a week or two previously and had no issues... But they couldn't answer that and kept telling me I'm delusional and don't know what I'm talking about in regards to the menu and service.
At one point while waiting for a manager I saw a member of bar staff opening a bottle of mayo with their teeth - in front of a customer at the till. So a member of dining team could take it to someone's table. A manger was stood nearby, watching, and said nothing.
Ended up getting a full refund for the visit - then one of the managers came up and profusely apologised and had a recipe card for the kitchens for the meal I ordered and paid for - stating that it had never been actioned for use. Then offered to make me the same meal I paid for and ordered and was subsequently told they couldn't make in 10 minutes. I declined and left. My confidence in this restaurant is completely gone.
It's sad and wholly upsetting that when you have dietary requirements and staff aren't clued up on their own menu or food preparation. Would not recommend as safe for anyone with a food intolerance or allergy.
I told them I have coeliac disease and I picked something on the menu I had had in TGI FRIDAY in Watford North just 6 days earlier, (I left them a glowing feedback) with slight ajustment it was fine for me, but I was refused this choice incase I had a reaction which i assured her I would not have had, the manager was adamant she would not serve me anything else unless it was from your gf section, which is the point I should have just left your restaurant, but I changed my option for something I didn't want we ate then we left, WE WONT BE BACK.
Food is a good selection. I'm a celiac and I found it does have labels on MOST things but the little signs are greasy to touch and sometimes I couldn't read the tick..I left feeling full and the staff were super! Many thanks 🖤
