I love going to Love Heart's! It's a small business that feels like a family. They put a lot of care and, yes, love into their food. Lots of gluten free and allergen free options. Really cozy space that you want to hang out in. The service is always friendly and everyone is really kind. The coffee is good and I love the English Muffin bread. Lots of character with some good eco friendly practices. Also the prices are much lower than other places in the area and comes with equal or better quality.
Yesterday was our second time in the restaurant and the food and our experience was even more memorable than our first time a few years back. This time we decided to sit in a booth at the bar area vs. at the dining room to celebrate my birthday. The design of the place is very cool with the old jail cells adjacent to the spacious and comfortable booths and huge chandeliers hanging from the ceiling above the bar. My husband ordered a special cocktail; I had a nice glass of Pinot Grigio. For my meal I ordered the Grilled Faroe Island Salmon served with luxurious sweet corn pudding, asparagus and heirloom tomato jam from the special menu. This dish was so exquisite and full of flavor, I really wish the Marketplace kept in on their regular menu. My husband ordered the Tempura Shrimp Bowl, that was also good and pleasing for the eye but the rice at the bottom could have used a bit of a sauce or dressing as it was a bit dry at the end. Overall, we had a five-star dining experience, with amazing food, great service, helpful waitresses and a very good bartender. The selection of gluten free food is incredible. We will definitely return very soon as this is our new favorite dining spot in Litchfield.
I've come all the way from Storrs in eastern CT for this place, three or four times.
However.
This past time may be my last.
I have never been questioned as to why I ask for a table for four, even though it was my party of two when the dining room had PLENTY of empty tables. I have orthopedic issues and shouldn't have experienced the waitress questioning me "incredulously"..."You need four seats for two people?"
Umm. Yes. For ortho reasons I shouldn't have to explain.
I also shouldn't have had to deal with SAME waitress scoffing audibly when it became evident I do try to avoid carbs like rice or pasta. Really? Was my request for mixed greens instead of rice as a base with my ahi tuna so difficult?
I was told "no substitutions" and got an attitude.
Anyone who modifies gluten or carbs, stay away.
Baked seafood with mashed potatoes and vegetables! It was delicious. Bread crumbs on top was part of the dish but because Iβm gluten free they topped it with GF panko, perfect!
Ordered the gluten free chicken sandwich for pick up. Chicken was over cooked and tasted like a hockey puck. Do they even bother to look at what theyβre serving customers? Never coming back to this place again.
Be sure to make reservations on peak days & times: this place has excellent food from pizza to fine dinning options. Gluten free friendly. It was so busy on a Friday evening we could barely turn around in the parking lot to pick up food, no spots available @ 6:30 pm
Peaches 'N Cream has been a family favorite for decades..I am delighted that the children's table is still there, with the knitted picture of Pluto hanging on the wall above it! A few months ago I purchased a cinnamon ice cream cake for a family member's birthday, and it was absolutely delicious-the owner was kind and helpful, and offered me a birthday topper at no extra charge. All of their ice cream flavors are excellent, and the gluten-free cookies/muffins they have are so good. My family and I will always support Peaches 'N Cream π¨
A great selection of options and fun specials at a fair price! Most breakfast places are bland in flavor, but the chefs here are phenomenal and they even have gluten free options! Definitely coming back. :)
Stopped for a small lunch for two on a Friday afternoon. A simple menu with vegan and gluten free options. Our server Andy was helpful and graceful and the host, at the time, made sure to check up on us whenever it was convenient.
My husband and I had our wedding cake made at The Bakehouse. The owners are incredibly nice and generous. We even popped in a week before to ask if they had gluten free options for some guests of ours and they let us sample their almond cookies, which are AMAZING! Our cake was so delicious. It was a big hit, along with the cookies and the gluten free chocolate loaf. Thank you for your outstanding service! We will be returning when we are in the area.
Great takeout spot in Litchfield. You can order in person or online and they will text you when the order is ready. Had a delicious gluten free quesadilla with avocado, vegetables, and of course cheese.
They also have cute picnic tables outside.
Iβve been going to SG for years, but Iβve never been one to leave reviews. Because of my breastfed daughterβs allergies, itβs nearly impossible to eat out at a restaurant because I hate being a pain (Soy/Gluten/Dairy/Egg free). SG happily accommodated and made me SUCH a delicious meal!!
Bohemian pizza and tacos is a fun, cool, hip restaurant that offers really good food and prompt, attentive service. We stopped in for lunch and had the shrimp tacos which were flavorful and chock full of large tasty shrimp. We also opted for a burger and a gluten-free bun with a side of fries. The fries were delicious. The gluten-free roll was perfect, not overwhelming and the burger was cooked to perfection. Well worth a stop into this fun spot in Litchfield for some solid food and a good solid dining experience
Quaint pizza spot on the Litchfield green. They put "love" into their food, and you can see all the seasonings on the pizza too. They DO have a gluten free (small only) option for pizza, even though it's not on their menu or website. The staff is very pleasant and they do offer local delivery on weekends only.
They have so many sandwiches to choose from, they have healthy and gluten free options too! Everything i have tried has been delicious. The employees are so friendly and welcoming!
I went with my family and it was so family friendly. I also enjoyed seeing that they have a whole menu that caters to Gluten Free. Canβt wait to go back and have the collard greens. Yummy!
Amazing!!! I stopped in Sat. 3/9/24. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with ham & cheese in Gluten Free bread. They toasted the bread and the egg was cooked to perfection! Such helpful staff and so grateful for the GF bread. I will be back.π³π§ππ
