First time here. Our server, Hoda, was very personable and knowledgeable about the gluten free options. She even brought out a sample of the sauce to make sure I liked it before ordering the chicken Sajee (Lebanese seared chicken). Oh, and it was fabulous!
This is my second time eating here. The first time I had the steak and shrimp hibachi. It was okay, but I wasn’t a fan. This time I ordered the lunch boil with mild garlic butter snow crab and shrimp for $23. In my bag were two small clusters, a nice amount of medium shrimp, three red skin potatoes to sub for the sausage, and half an ear of slightly overcooked corn. The amount of food I received for that price was not bad at all. While the taste was good, I don’t think I am a fan of the spice mix because it makes the sauce too salty. The lady who took my order over the phone was really nice and very helpful once I told her that I couldn’t have gluten. I’ll definitely be back for another boil without the spice mix!
i love love love haifa falafel! the food is delicious and very reasonably priced for the portions, two people can easily eat for under $30. they're very understanding of dietary restrictions: my partner has to eat gluten-free and the staff here has never gotten it wrong, so kudos for that! for dinner tonight we got a chicken shawarma wrap, a haifa bowl, and a side of baba ghanoush... just delightful, wholesome, satisfying food.
there is more-than-adequate parking in the plaza, and plenty of seating inside. i highly recommend haifa falafel to anyone seeking yummy middle eastern food near ypsi/a2.
