I love Cantina because they have a dedicated gluten free fryer so you can have the chips, taquitos, chicken wings etc! There are so many options I go here with my boyfriend when we want a place that has an extensive list and is delicious. Also, their happy hour menu is basically all
Gluten free and a steal. BOGO margs and $5 apps like their nachos which are one of my favs!
Boca has so many options and they are clearly labeled. Also they have gluten free bread that they will serve you before the meal. They really are well educated on celiac disease. Great food too!
There was an excellent gluten free and vegetarian selection. The food came out super fast and was delicious especially the fries. The waiter was very friendly. The only note I would give is they messed up our order and immediately fixed it but didn’t tell us they were going to make a whole new order and we would’ve preferred not to waste the food but otherwise it was perfect.
Great sourdough pizza and awesome atmosphere! Love that they have gluten free pizza and lots of gluten free options. Frozen yogurt is an awesome addition to the menu too! And very friendly service!
Extraordinary service. Tasty food... everything from salmon to scallops to stir fry. Vegetarian & gluten free options. Dessert to die for! A bit pricey, but worth it.
Best fried chicken in the capital region. Red beans and rice are tasty too. The only place I know of to get gluten free fried chicken. It is excellent.
I love the pizza here and they have a gluten free bun for their burger. Just make sure to ask for the side salad because their fryer is not gluten free. They will do their best to avoid cross contamination. I have celiac and have not gotten sick here. Also it’s a brewery but I usually get a margarita so delish!
They have a vegan veggie burger that is homemade and absolutely delicious... honestly the best I have ever had... after speaking with the owner I also learned they separate their fish, chicken and fries in separate fryers for cross contamination so I feel comfortable eating lots of options they have for vegetarians and vegans. They also offer multiple different options for vegan icecream and other diary free and gluten free options too!!!! You must stop by and try their goodies!!!
The food is absolutely amazing and very gluten-free friendly! The staff are friendly and welcoming and the space has a great vibe. Highly recommend for a bite on the go or a sit-down experience.
The flavors were so good! Love that there were many gluten free flavors and even a gf cone! The birthday cake flavor was very good! Also loved the Italian music! 🍦🍨🇮🇹
Very tasty food, and a prompt kitchen, but I found spaghetti noodles mixed in with my gluten free pasta order. For someone with Celiacs, this can ruin an entire weekend. It's always a risk eating out, but for the price I expect more allergen conscientiousness.
My partner and I have been here multiple times an this isn’t are first experience like this.my partner has a gluten allergy and we both tell the server directly so there is no miscommunication on today’s experience we had requested a gluten bread option and they had completely ignored that information an gave my partner regular bread after the tag was marked gluten free and my partner had a reaction almost immediately. They did replace the sandwich but under no circumstance should there have been a mix up this isn’t are first time being at this location an we are both absolutely appalled by today’s situation.
Amazing breakfast ~halfway between NY and Montréal. The food is actually very tasty, the portions are great, there are plenty of Gluten Free options and the Prices are very fair. Very very busy on Sunday morning so be patient. Jean Pierre is an awesome host.
Parking lot is tricky so be careful.
Merci JP a bientot!
Had a great experience here about 2 yrs ago hosting my boss’ retirement dinner for about 20 of us- great food and service then. So I figured, it was definitely worth going back since I’m in town for work again…. The minute we walked in the door, smacked in the face with low quality air freshener. First off- no good restaurant would take away from the taste of the good by doing that. But second- it wasn’t even limited to the entry way, that garbage was being pumped into the air even by the bar where we were seated at a high top. Imagine a hotel that doesn’t properly clean air freshener smell. Awful. Our server was great initially, made a great dry red wine suggestion and took our order promptly. Then cue the waiting…. No bread or anything at an Italian restaurant- ok maybe we were supposed to order it as a starter?
Salads come- now it’s restaurant week so to be fair I only paid $42 for a three course meal - but my Boston Bibb salad with white vinaigrette, Gorgonzola and crispy prosciutto came with precisely 1 tsp of blah dressing, 3 crumbs of Gorgonzola and 7 flecks of crispy prosciutto. My dining partner’s Caesar salad was an untrimmed romaine heart with blah Caesar dressing and 4 Parmesan shavings on top.
Cue the 25 min wait until the main course comes. Her spaghetti bolognese got two thumbs up. My penne ala vodka with chicken added? I’ve had better out of a jar and the chicken was unseasoned , un-anything for a $7 up charge. Gluten free pasta available was a plus. Perhaps it actually tasted better but I couldn’t tell because “hotel new car” smell was being pumped into my nose and lungs.
Cue a 40 min wait for any attention paid to our 3rd course. At which point, the server notifies us, during restaurant week, they’ve run out of the tiramisu we selected. Seriously?? Substitutions or removed from book were offered, we elected to remove. Then another 30 min wait and a direct request for our bill. My partner’s dessert was removed and I was comped a glass of wine in exchange for the tiramisu let down.
Over all a very reasonable price for a let down of a meal. Not sure what changed in two years, but this was a significant disappointment/downgrade in quality of atmosphere and meal. We were so looking forward to this too.
The best of the best! Honestly my favorite Indian food anywhere in the US. A gluten free paradise. Amazingly warm and friendly staff who remember you every visit. Try the South Indian dishes that you may not be used to, they are incredible.
It was Skidmore grad weekend and they accommodated a last minute order for a funeral. We ordered a Caesar Salad, stuffed bread with dip and veggies, a gluten free treat tray, and 100 meatballs.
The great...the gluten free tray was excellent. Everything was moist and tasty, especially the almond cookies!
The good... the caesar.. was chopped up romaine with a decent amount of cheese. They do provide lots of croutons and a good amount of dressing but very tough to screw up a Caesar.
We ordered tomato parmesan meatballs. We paid online and had a friend pick up. When we walked in the house, something smelled off. Turns out, it was the wrong type of meatballs. Everyone makes mistakes. Human error is just that.. human. When they found out, they refunded us in full for the meatballs. Businesses that stand behind their product and offer excellent customer service are rare so thank you to Gloria and the team at Putnam for taking a last minute order on a busy weekend and for making it right when a mistake was made.
I’m a local and love stopping by the Thirsty Owl as much as I can! Good food, good wine, great service, awesome vibes. They have excellent gluten free options — love their gluten free flatbread!
I also had my baby shower here and it was a great experience. Highly recommend!
I ordered the shroom pizza on cauliflower crust, was excited to have a gluten option (bummed no vegan cheese though). It looked nothing like the pictures on the reviews, black burnt edges and almost no mushrooms. I was watching my friends eat regular pizzas that looked incredible.. I'm not sure why a $5 more expensive crust could end up like that. And also, which the cauliflower crust came in a larger size. No cherries at the bar either. I won't be back, but if you don't care about gluten you'll probably be fine.
We stopped here while traveling because I prefer to try places that we don't have at home, and this had the best rating of places nearby. The folks working were very nice. There was plenty of parking. They give you a bowl of popcorn which was interesting but appreciated as a gluten free alternative to bread. The food was just ok; I ordered a strawberry chicken salad and I think the one from Wendy's is better, and much cheaper. The bathroom was a bit run-down and missing a toilet paper holder in one of the stalls (the one I chose of course). The worst part was that people seated in the next booth over ordered some kind of seafood (there's a summer lobster promo going on I believe) and it smelled absolutely terrible. I LOVE seafood, but this smelled wrong. If I had ordered it and it came out I would have sent it back; seafood should not smell like that unless it's spoiled. Overall it was fine for a quick stop for lunch but I won't ever go to the chain again personally.
Chipotle is always a safe place to eat if you have celiac. Just let them know you have an allergy and they'll change their gloves, do a line wipe, and get uncontaminated lettuce and cheese for you. The staff on duty the evening of Wednesday May 3rd were particularly delightful. Chipotle is lucky to have them!
Solevo Kitchen had a designated gluten free menu. They didn’t have gluten free pasta but most of their pasta dishes comes with whipped polenta instead. I got the Bolognese which was incredible. For app we shared the Non-Pane-Zanella I am still craving it again already. Dessert is the best in downtown Saratoga Springs. They had a lemon cornmeal cake that was insane. Best place in Saratoga to eat.
We were in Saratoga for a SPAC show and wanted to bring a gluten-free vegan pizza and found this place. The staff was very friendly and the pizza was very good.
For me, some of the charm is the building itself. Located on Broadway, the architecture is old wood and brick, with a lot of natural light streaming through the windows and doors. They've kept the space between tables - since COVID I'm supposing, so it is nice and quiet enough to be able to hear who you're with. Food and drinks were delicious - and they have gluten free for the friends I sometimes go with. I had their 'eggs your way,' they were cooked perfect, just the way I like them. Everything was hot, brought out at the same time, always a plus. Waiter was nice and attentive. I go a couple times every few months. Enjoy it very much.
This was a tough review to write, because I genuinely love this restaurant and how attentive everyone is. The sashimi is delicious. They gave me a dedicated menu to mark gluten free when I requested GF soy sauce, yet without fail, they bring me something that makes me ill. The first time it was a yakitori with sauce, despite every previous order having no sauce. The second time was a tempura roll that wasn't marked as tempura. If you are celiac or gluten intolerant at all, don't eat here.
Appetizers came out at 22 minutes (timer started at sit time), food came out at 59 minutes. Awesome gluten free pasta, not firm, not over cooked. Awesome stuff
A little busy, but not crowded (as in enough space between tables to enjoy our food and conversation without being rlbow to elbow with other tables). As a larger group, it wasn't a huge wait to have us seated at last minute walk-ins (less than two minutes). We had a few drinks, some alcholic and some chose non-alcoholic. A variety of meals from salads to their chilli was ordered, but all arrived fresh and at the same time. Every at our table enjoyed the cooking as well. The waiteess was very friendly and accommodating to those in our group with special dietary needs, so we could still enjoy a full meal sans certain items (such as gluten free rolls to accompany the chilli instead of regular ones). And the price was very reasonable. 5 out of 5 stars...and looking forward to the next trip their.
The ice cream is yummy. They even have gluten free cones. Small is more than I can eat. Staff are very friendly even when they lines are long like in the evening!
Completely HEARTLESS owners. Do not make these privileged, entitled, people any wealthier. This place is just a cash cow for owners who couldn’t care less about anyone in the community except themselves. Aside from that glaring red flag, the food is also unsanitary. They gave me a pizza and told me it was gluten-free which was NOT true. Charging a premium price and misrepresenting the products. Extremely narcissistic and greedy individuals who don’t deserve to serve the Saratoga community.
GLUTEN FREE SUSHI galore! Was so excited to find a place in Saratoga that is offering gluten free sushi. This is the only place I’ve seen so far who is offering it and it is clearly marked on the menu. I ordered via door dash and it was great
Unfriendly service, food was extremely underwhelming, nobody inside but 30 minute wait for a breakfast wrap and toast. No precautions for allergies - ordered gluten free avocado toast and it came out on sourdough.
$$$$ I had high expectations and expected a proper evening. Expectations met. This was the soothing relaxing setting I expected to have while I dined with my wife. Proper service, I never had an empty glass. The timing between courses was proper. The waitress check-ins were appropriate intervals. Enough to make sure my needs are met, but not bothersome. Great evening. My single complaint that gives this place 4 stars for food is they should have a dedicated fryer only for french fries and nothing else. Celiac sufferers would appreciate it.
I've been wanting to share this for a while, but every time we dine at Panza's Restaurant, I forget to take pictures of the food because it looks so amazing that it's gone before I even think about it. So here it goes: this is a photo of the outside of the restaurant. Inside, it's even more spectacular, with multiple dining areas. My favorite is the Cove, a cabaret lounge, piano bar, and full dining room. From the moment you step foot into the elegance and style, you can see that Michael Panza himself has curated every aspect of the restaurant to transform you into something you can only find in northern Italy—a flashback to 1983. Lights, camera, action! Get ready for an evening you will never forget when you walk in.
We started with a dirty martini, stirred not shaken, with blue cheese olives, and listened to some tunes at the piano bar before sitting down for dinner. Now, let’s talk about the food. The fried calamari with hot cherry peppers is a must, followed by Chef Dan's Utica greens (insider tip: ask for the crumbled sausage if they haven't added it), and then there are Ma Panza's Meatballs, which are a classic. Amongst incredible friends Wendy Lawrence Chip Lawrence Meredith Woolford Jim Woolford, we dined the evening away with lots of laughter and stories to celebrate.
For dinner, they have all the classics like chicken parmigiana and piccata, truffle mushroom risotto (which is to die for), a perfectly cooked New York strip steak, and rigatoni ala Michael. But my favorite is the penne pasta ala Jillian with gluten-free tortellini. Yes, that’s right! Gluten-free tortellini, which is to die for. In fact, they have tons of gluten-free options and will pretty much accommodate anything you wish.
Now let’s talk about the service, which is beyond exceptional. Brandon and Jake, along with everyone else who works there, go above and beyond to make your dining experience a night you will never forget—not to mention, they’re cute AF.
And don't skip dessert, even though we're always so full by then, because the desserts are spectacular. Michael Panza truly is inspirational like nobody else, and Panza's is a must-try institution in Saratoga. There are lots of restaurants in the area, and no shortage of Italian ones, but it doesn’t get any better than Panza's, for sure.
Panza's also hosts special events and live performances, adding an extra layer of entertainment to your dining experience. The ambiance is enhanced by carefully selected decor and lighting, making every visit feel like a special occasion. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or just enjoying a night out, Panza's provides an unforgettable experience.
this place used to have the best gluten-free avocado toast but I don't know what happened now the toast is thinner than my pinky nail and they burn it every single time? There's more avocado dip on it than two times of the toast, not enjoyable anymore when you just get a mouthful of burnt toast and and overload of avocado.
