I had the empanadas which werenโt my fave, but I loved the yuca fries and churros! Definitely check this place out if youโre celiac, itโs great :)
Incredible experience here. The staff is so lovely and considerate. Food was fantastic. They had so many gluten free options for my mom, even for dessert! Will absolutely be coming back.
Master Falafel does not get enough credit. They have tons of gluten free, vegan, and vegetarians options and there food is always delicious. Their falafel is perfect. Staff is always nice and you can tell they take pride in what they do.
The food was absolutely amazing. I love the menu and how its lists what is gluten free or dairy free. Chef Ryan was super accommodating and the rest of the staff as well.
Amazing vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Takeout is easy and fast, eating in is suuuch a vibe. I feel like I'm in old Astoria. Brunch is their best offering. Bring cash!

Food is very good. Nice twist to mashed potatoโs, chops cooked as ordered, tuned into gluten and allergy issues, etc. The decor is nice, more elegant than formal, but feels a little dated here and there. Service is dependent on the person, which is not uncommon. They are professional for sure no complaints but it was a bit too transactional and had gaps in timing. We certainly will be back.
This cafe is great. It has clearly labeled vegan and gluten free items. We got the Not Your Every Day Nachos and the Vegan Poke Bowl. Both were yummy and the house made nacho cheese was especially good. They also had house nut milk for their Chai Latte.
I had to get the lemon poppy seed muffin on the way out which was one of the most moist gluten free baked goods I have had.
You order at the counter and they give you a number to bring to your table so you can choose where to sit. They have free Wi-Fi if you want to bring your laptop and work.
The bathrooms are clean which is always a plus. There's one single on the first floor as well as gender neutral stalls in the basement.
I would not recommend this place for allergies, especially for people with celiacs. Unfortunately, places like this are the most dangerous for people with food allergies. The menu is marked and seems inclusive, but the staff I interacted with was not aware and did not care or take note when I asked about gluten free options and said that I have a gluten allergy.
The person working didnโt know what I was talking about when I asked if the fries are fried in a shared fryer and was annoyed when I asked if she could check. She left and didnโt come back with a clear answer so, I played it as safe as possible and my food still came out carelessly on bread. I brought it to the counter and they brought it right back out without the bread. No communication. At that point I started noticed the lipstick on marks on my water cup and the jars of shared condiments where anyone can dip whatever utensils they want into it (including contaminated knives spreading on bread and back). I was grossed out. I have celiacs. These details matter. I know how to navigate menus and how to respectfully advocate for the bare minimum. Itโs not clean and itโs not safe.
Boca has so many options and they are clearly labeled. Also they have gluten free bread that they will serve you before the meal. They really are well educated on celiac disease. Great food too!
Anixi is a creative and modern twist on traditional Mediterranean food. My friend and I shared a bunch of sides. Standout dishes were the preserved lemon cured tuna with black seaweed caviar and the taramasalata.
Granted, the dishes did not quite taste like their non-vegan counterparts, but major kudos for creativity and invention! The tuna was made with tomato, the caviar with seaweed, and the taramasalata with coconut.
I also ordered the Mujadara (a rice and lentil dish) which was a bit salty for my liking. My friend reports that her chicken dish tasted just like chicken!
Overall, a great dining experience. The restaurant also took great care with my gluten allergy (celiac).
Spot on - we went there for a holiday lunch and tried both a Latke egg special and the chicken shawarma. The flavors were well balanced and the staff was very knowledgeable with my girlfriendโs food allergies. They have good gluten free options for appetizers, entrees and desserts. The fresh mint tea was very refreshing and paired well with the flavorful dishes.
Such delicious food! Came across this through the app, and will definitely be going back. As a very gluten sensitive person, I am beyond thrilled and surprised at how amazing their food is. Pro-tip: their ENTIRE MENU IS GF (except one dish, a noodle soup). Their sides, their stews, their fries (which were fresh-not oily- and hand cut), are all gluten-free/dedicated fryer. The service was extremely friendly and I look forward to checking out the wine bar because it looks amazing and was buzzing. Canโt wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu. The Fesenjoon is a MUST, even if you have had it before. So delicious!!
Wow, I have missed this place! And I'm so happy to say that the food is even better now. It was always good, but there are some great additions to the menu. The creamy ramen and the cashew cream lemon pasta were both decadent and delicious. Also gluten free! I was really looking forward to the avo-coconut soup and it was just as fresh and luscious as I remembered. The raw coconut bread was a great addition. I think Enrique was our server and he knows service!! He's delightful and attentive. The live piano music on the Saturday we went was so lovely. And the bathrooms are much brighter with white walls and better lighting than the old days, though the interesting and mysterious vibe is still intact throughout the restaurant. This place is a classic NY gem and we are so lucky to still have them. Already planning my next road trip back.
I had an absolutely amazing experience here! They were able to cook my GF pita in a separate pan as well as fresh chicken that didnโt touch the grill. They were knowledgeable on the difference between an intolerance and celiac disease. Itโs run by a family and the food is amazing! The GF pita didnโt fall apart at all. It truly transported me back to Greece ๐ฌ๐ท ๐ I will 100% be going back! CELIAC SAFE.
This place rocks! I am picky and here there is nothing to be picky about. Today, I had an oat milk latte, salmon cake sandwich on gluten free bread which came with salad.
The latte was creamy and delicious! The bread was excellent didnโt impact taste given it was gluten free. The salmon cake came with horseradish sauce. Some places use horseradish due to its strong taste and it can be overpowering however, not here. The horseradish sauce blended well to add to and bring out the flavor of the salmon cake.
What a nice salad! Nice fresh greens with beets. The dressing was made with beets and was light, tasty and not too sweet. It was an excellent side to the salmon cake.
Between the salmon cake, sauce, salad, beet dressing and latte I walked away feeling well nourished and my taste buds had a satisfying experience.
The place is very comfy with seating well placed in many areas to choose from. Out front, the bar, dining area and backyard which is enclosed and temperature controlled. I sat at the bar.
While I was sipping my latte before my food arrived I noticed the bartender was wiping down every bottle of the full bar. I was very impressed and asked her how often she did this and she said every week. Another great thing about this place is the cleanliness, the work they put into cleaning shows and as a clean freak so, appreciate this. You can tell when you walk in the place has a sparkle.
Lastly, I had a knapsack that I put on the stool next to me. The hostess was so thoughtful she placed my bag on one of the hooks under the bar. They think of everything to keep the place pleasant, friendly and welcoming.
Left wanting to come back to try other dishes. Highly recommend dining here.
Lafa is one of my favorite local restaurants! The food is delicious, the staff friendly and professional, and I feel confident eating there while on a strict gluten free diet.
The food is absolutely amazing and very gluten-free friendly! The staff are friendly and welcoming and the space has a great vibe. Highly recommend for a bite on the go or a sit-down experience.
Eugene and Peter were excellent. Eugene took the time to explain the menu to me and make sure that there was no cross contamination with my celiac. Excellent food and great atmosphere. We will be back!

ThankYou to the wonderful waiter (who I did not ask his name) and the amazing chef who did an amazing job. They made my daughterโs graduation a day to remember. She has celiacs and this restaurant was amazing the food and desert was phenomenal. We will be back I highly recommend.
Absolutely incredible Lebanese food and very nice and accommodating staff. My family rented out the restaurant for lunch for about 30 people after a funeral. They had a buffet for us so I was able to try many things. They have so many gluten free options clearly marked on the menu and can make some things gf by request (or calling in advance for specific dishes). The falafil, kabobs, and grape leaves were some of my favorites.
Loved this place the first time I went. I went to order a chicken bowl online and I have Celiac Disease, meaning I cannot have anything with gluten, which pita has. Unbeknownst to be, their chicken bowls have pita on them without the menu on their website saying so. Will not be coming back if they can't even list all the items on their menu properly.
Really great celiac-friendly restaurant. They even have the option of gluten-free pita upon request that's quite delicious. My food accidentally came with a regular pita on it and they immediately noticed their mistake and went back and prepared a fresh, new plate.
After reading reviews about gluten-free items, specifically gluten-free pita, i wanted to give this place a try. Let's start with the positives. Prices and portion sizes are decent. The food was bland in flavor, it was edible, but not enjoyable. The gluten-free "pita" was ok, it was more of a flatbread sort of thing. I would likely not eat here again. Not sure how it gets such high ratings.
I've eaten here many times and every time I've gone I've been told with my gluten allergy I can eat the Alfredo, just palced a online order to be told I can't eat the Alfredo because it's not gluten free. Never eating here again, can't trust them not to make people sick with their allergies. Zero stars if I could
Every time we eat at the Pita House, the food is always amazing. Always fresh! My favorite is the falafel which is gluten free, the dolmas and rice pudding. I had the stuffed eggplant tonight and again it was amazing. I love that the owner takes the time and goes to all the tables and speaks to everyone! Highly recommend!!
Super delicious gluten free pizzas! One of the only places I have found that does a good GF with meatball. Super glad this is local and does delivery as it is so rare to find something this good!

Benjamin served My friends and I tonight, UNREAL service!! He had us laughing and kept me safe from gluten and mango ! God bless you and your family! โค๏ธ -the Canadians
Lunch menu here is fantastic! They serve gluten free pita bread and fries and many other gf dishes. The chicken skewers were delicious, as were the fries and pork gyro. Totally recommend coming here and will be ordering takeout soon for sure. Fresh ingredients, great ambiance and overall very good quality food.
Our first meal during our NYC visit. They have some gluten free items. We were told the GF pancakes were also dairy free when we called before we arrived in NYC. They are NOT dairy free according to our server. Always ask multiple people if you have allergies to be safe.
Firs time there and told our server that I was celiac and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and which items to avoid! I've only ate here once, but left without any reactions! The food was delicious! Would definitely come back here for the rice hashwi and chicken. Wowwww. ๐
