I had a wonderful time at the Lounge! As a coeliac it's super hard to find safe places to eat gluten free food out but the lounge was great! They had a huge and specialised gluten free menu, (I got a super tasty gf vegan burger with the crispiest fries I've ever had) and the manager handles allergy orders to make sure that everything is perfect and safe!

The gluten free burger I pre-ordered a week in advance was supposed to come with a potato bun but this had been substituted for a Warburton's gluten free wrap which obviously made it a lot less special. Despite pre ordering and booking a table the food took a long time to arrive yet was a bit cold. It wasn't busy. Toilets were clean and so was the seating area. Service was very minimal but pleasant. I suppose I've been a bit spoilt as I was recently in Brittany where everything is spot on. It wasn't what I ordered, didn't justify the £13.50 price tag ( menu said £12.50 so I assume I was charged extra for being part of a large party, which is a shame as it was a work event not social) £12.50 for a burger, no fries, no drink, no jug of water on the table, no breads or dips, just a burger, is steep. It wasn't what I ordered but I was only told when I queried what had arrived, which isn't good. I should point out that although it's a work thing, we were all paying for ourselves and we don't get it back on expenses so I guess I can fume a bit about my missing potato bun, which was the reason I was looking forward to it. It came with regular mustard already on it and raw onion, which I'd specified I didn't want as it gives me an upset tummy. I had to pick it off. No side salad, genuinely A Burger. Sorry to be gloomy but 🥹

What a wonderful little gem in Truro. A very nice selection for vegans, gluten free, and it is very well priced, should be more expensive than it is! The restaurant itself is very clean and has a lot of space as well. Its LGBTQ+ friendly, and even better that they accept dogs as well! I should also mention the staff that served us (7/12/2024) was super friendly and helpful. Thank you.

I’ve put off reviewing, as I’ve been many times and absolutely love this place but do not want it to become to popular that I can’t get in, but after seeing a negative review, I need to let you know, this is fantastic food, not only is the Thai curry absolutely gorgeous, but they do fantastic gluten free cakes etc, personally I prefer her serving as she is so friendly without being false, every time we go to Truro we pop in for lunch. Keep up the good work x
