We found this restaurant recommended because of its gluten free options, and we were not disappointed. Both of us enjoyed our meals. I think it was the best risotto I’ve ever had. Atmosphere allowed for conversation at the table which I very much appreciated. I enjoyed our server. My dining partner thought she was a bit forgetful or that things took awhile such as drink refills, but I think they were just busy.

Real gluten free chicken fingers!!! Real gluten free dedicated fryer fries !! It all tastes so good and I feel like a real human being sitting at the bar not having to worry about my allergies or having to explain why I need them to be careful. It’s darn good food ! Tasty sauce. We will be back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Look at this real FOOD!

One of the best restaurants in Bloomington, easily. They thoughtfully prepare every component of their food. You're not just getting good meat with steamed vegetables and fries. Though their fries are good 😉. I've eaten here many times and love that I can get unique, flavorful, seasonal food. Usually a good amount of gluten free options for my husband (celiac) as well.

They have the most patience while I figure out what to order. They kindly left the meat off my breakfast bagel like I asked, and they had gluten free doughnuts and didn't blink am eye when I asked about the making process! A very welcoming place, it makes waking up early worth it!

Great gluten free choices! They put my gluten free food in a separate bag, since my partners weren't gluten free!

A cozy cat café with a unique twist, where you can chill with adoptable felines, enjoy a variety of beverages, and support a great cause.

Cozy little cat café inside what used to be Hair Stadium. Signage outside is still out of date as of late September, though at least there is *also* now a small sign in the window signaling this is The Cat's Meow rather than just hoping you know not to expect a salon, like a kitty speakeasy. You go around the screened-in room with the cats to the barista counter in the back, sign a waiver basically stating you won't harass the cats (yes, you need to sign this for *every* visit), and pay a $5 cover charge *per person* (can reserve a spot/pay online in advance to not have to wait, but it's nonrefundable as a donation toward the care of the cats, and I've already had to miss a reservation due to being sick) plus the cost of whatever you'd like to order from the café. The online reservation system has had hiccups due to inconveniently timed outages on Square's end, and it's annoying to have to submit multiple times for each individual person if you're bringing a family. Short of coding a new system from scratch, though, I'm not sure how they'd do better. For the menu, they have locally sourced vegan and gluten-free options for baked goods! I was also pleasantly surprised to find they have an oat milk based cold foam, a delightful topping on an iced drink for a hot day. There are also non-coffee options like tea and lemonade if you're not the coffee type (or are bringing a kid, for example). All the cats are adoptable via applying through Pet Central Helps; since there is an application process, you're not going to walk out with a cat same-day, but they've had pretty good response and turnaround times of only a couple days as I've observed. After not even being open a month, TCM has already helped Pet Central Helps find homes for 14 cats! I don't recommend the time slots toward the last hour of the day, as there tends to be more people and the cats are pretty much done/in need of a break so won't be as social as if you get in earlier in the day.
