By owner: "We are a dedicated Gluten Free Kitchen! We cater to many food allergies. We are a scratch kitchen, so most dishes can be modified or adjusted. We look forward to serving you!"
Can not attest to cross contamination or cooking areas, but they do offer gluten free and cauliflower crust for pizza. Other gluten free options appear very limited. The person we spoke to said no options for fluten free. I discovered options were available after we left. The place was super cute and laid back for a baby shower. Everyone else raved about the food.

Employees are great. But the store is ridiculously expensive and they have items that are not allergen free marked that they are. If you want veggies sushi for almost $8 then this is your place. They have kept the NON-gluten free Bob's Red Mill steel cut oats in a spot marked as 0 allergens. They have been there for over a year. They are not the same.
Have been meaning to try this place as they have a lot of great gluten free options as well as amazing sounding specials. Finally drove 35min down to it for a try.
The bananas foster sundae was life-changing.
Will be back for sure. Tons of flavors and mix in options to try.
Bonus: They also do pup cups if you bring your doggo.
Cozy little place in Crystal Lake. First time going there and I'll definitely be going back.
I had a pumpkin chai tea that was very tasty and a gluten free oatmeal creme sandwich. There were many gluten free options which is rare for coffee shops!
This is not a celiac friendly environment. If food sensitivity and allergies are a concern, go somewhere else. My server was irritated at my enquiries. And now I am paying for it.
I order on the app all the time, I have celiac and love the bread here, but the order I received tonight the bread was stale. Really disappointed with my food, I’ve never had problems like this before. Don’t serve stale bread.
What more could one want from a 24hr donut joint in the exoburbs? They are open practically every day of year with some early closures for major holidays. Fresh and yummy donuts and friend folk behind the counter and fair prices keeps this place a Crystal Lake classic.
Also - they have gluten-free muffins for your Celiac friends & family.
I’ve lived in Crystal Lake for about 5 years now, and Breaking Bread has my favorite rueben, hands-down. Meat and kraut are what you’d expect, but this place really shines with the cheese and bread. Delicious melty swiss and fluffy rye with a nice, exterior crunch. The 80s dad-rock playlist is a plus for me, and my gluten-free partner highly recommends their celiac-safe options. Crystal lake staple.
One of my favorite coffee shops in the area! No matter how busy they are, my drinks always come out fantastic and I never have to wait long. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming every time I come in. Also as someone with a dairy allergy, I’m very happy to see they carry Rosie’s Gluten Free Treats (which not all, but a good majority of products are dairy free).
I Ordered a breakfast quesadilla which was delicious! A little under $13. I wanted to try their gluten-free waffle. I asked for just one waffle with nothing on it. The charge for that simple plain waffle was a little under $16.
A coffee is $4.75 and iced tea as well.
The server took forever to take our order and only did so because I had to get his attention to come to our table.
Though my quesadilla was pretty good, I will not be back because I would not be able to afford it! Prices are ridiculous!
I forgot to mention that a regular waffle was a little over five dollars but gluten-free $16.
The bill for just my order was a little over $41!
Tasty Bistro is a great offordable Asian place. They have an incrediblly wide variety of options and they all taste great. They do gluten free upon request. The atmosphere is nice, a little strange style, but feels fancy enough when your in there.
I love this place! I went for the first time a few weeks ago and it was amazing. The food, Chef, presentation were all amazing. The best part for me was that they offered gluten free options, so I could eat from many options. I did not like when I told the Chef/cook that I did not want food tossed at me and he still tossed it, however - I thought was rude, but I took it stride, that time. Anyway, overall, the food was delicious and my family & I had a blast!
We used the catering service for a family gathering for 10. We needed to accommodate vegan diet and gluten free. The food was fantastic for everyone. The food exceeded our expectations.

We've been here twice for the all you can eat sushi dinner. The prices are extremely fair, the quality of the sushi is excellent, and the overall service and atmosphere is fantastic. I will continue to recommend Sushi U to anyone looking for a great all you can eat sushi spot!
I'm also gluten-intolorant and really appreciated the staff being so helpful in letting me know which rolls I couldn't have due to my restriction (and for providing me with gluten-free soy sauce). Thank you so much!
Top notch breakfast/ brunch / lunch place! They have options for everyone! The service was great! They had a parking lot so it was easy to just park and walk in. The place is fairly large but I can see it getting busy on weekends. We got there at 130 on a Sunday and there wasn’t a wait, and they were closing soon but they didn’t rush us at all! The food was really good and I’m so happy we tried it and they had gluten free options!
First time visiting yesterday and will definitely be back! Food took longer than I would have liked but was worth the wait. I am gluten free and most items they are able to accommodate. Also lots of vegan options as well.
Very good brisket, almost everything is gluten free or can be, except for the corn bread and Mac n cheese. Staff friendly, and helpful with making a choice. I thought the price was excellent for what you were getting.
This just might be my new favorite coffee place! The pumpkin spice latte was absolutely amazing! They have gluten-free items, and the staff was so so sweet!!
We love that this is real food and that taste is amazing you can get gluten free items so easily and switch out Dairy if you need to and the flavor is still there
This place is so cute! I had the hamburger on a gluten free bun with fries and it was 10/10 my wife had the Beer brat with sweet potato fries and she said it was really good. Will definitely come back.
I've ordered for them several times But I'm gluten free and dairy Free at one time the order was messed up just one time only out of like 10 times I've ordered they paid for the whole meal And sent me a new one There are good company and good quality food
Great food, I reserved our seats, it's a smaller size restaurant. Service was great, the waitress seemed to know the menu. They gave a gluten free menu. The carrot soup was the soup of the day, and was excellent. Everything tasted great.
This is our go-to place for gluten-free pizza. As opposed to another popular nearby pizza place, the crust is actually fully baked. The GF crust is decent. Not as good as real crust, but better than others in the area. As with any GF pizza, I’d recommend eating it all the first night, as it’s never as good reheated.
Update: took me a year but I finally made it back for a visit. The beers just as good as I remember it. Due to the weird Illinois liquor licensing they don't serve anything other than beer or cider. The cider is gluten-free and the couple that I tasted were very good.
Had been in town for a few hours. Tried one of their beers at the hotel. Two others at the restaurant. Super excited to go to the brewery but unfortunately it was a slow Monday night and instead of closing at 10:00 they closed up at 9:00. Would have started my night here but they don't serve any food so went to dinner first. Looks cool from the outside. Hope to get back next time I'm in the area.
