A fantastic Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Park Ridge! Fred was a friendly and knowledgeable waiter and everything we ate we had here was excellent. We appreciate the extensive gluten-free menu as our daughter has celiac. We had the Gluten-free cheesy garlic bread sticks, Rigatoni Napolitana, Gnocchi crema ala porcini, gluten-free mostaccioli ala vodka sauce with chicken. Really big portions so we had plenty of food for leftovers.. They also had a wonderful selection of summer drink specials. I had the peach aperol spritz and it was so refreshing!
Gluten free breakfast heaven!!! GF pancakes, waffles, homemade gf cinnamon French toast! We went there to celebrate a kids birthday! Clean, great service, well managed, delicious food! We will be back as three family members are gluten free!!!
We had a great experience. They accidentally added something with gluten to my plate and my server caught it and had my plate re-made. She was very attentive throughout the dinner and answered all of our questions. The menu had a lot of choices and the restaurant was not to loud, though you could talk comfortably.
I haven't been to a Trader Joe's that I didn't like! Sadly, the nearest one is 1 1/2 hours from where I live in Iowa. I stop at whatever Trader Joe's I can find when I go out of town and even bring a large cooler with me for my cold item purchases. I always stock up on favorite shelf stable items, too. They have an amazing selection of gourmet cheese that are reasonably priced, fresh fruits and vegetables. I love their Waldorf salad when I need a quick meal. They have great gluten-free items (bakery, mixes, frozen) that my family love. Always clean and the staff is helpful and friendly
Best food ever! I have dined in many times with my family and friends. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. My server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave good recommendations. They have a huge menu with gluten free and vegan options. I love the gobi 65 and dhal tadka. You're able to customize the spice level as well. Nice outdoor patio! Mira is my favorite server.
This place is wonderful! The wine selection is solid. The food is really good! We met the chef and he is really great. And as a gluten free person, I love that they provide many gluten free options including on their charcuterie boards! We've made it our regular weekend spot.
Had a great experience ordering here for lunch. I got the gluten free pie with pepperoni and it was delicious. The crust was fresh, crisp and held up well. The pizza had a generous amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Overall great pizza 🍕. The staff were friendly and efficient when ordering and picking up the pizza. Checkout was a breeze and the price both reasonable and affordable. The inside of the restaurant was cozy, clean and had ample seating. The outside area has lots of parking spots. I'd visit again when in the area to try their other flavors.
I mistakenly thought this was a sit down italian restaurant when we chose to visit and was weary when I got in as to what I was going to get at a deli style italian eatery but I quickly found out that I had no reason to worry!
They were helpful in finding a gluten free dish to enjoy (allergies not choice) and had suggestions based on what I enjoyed. The risotto was creamy and a massive portion to enjoy.
Thanks so much and I'll be back!
After calling about 10 places in the area, looking for gluten free options, we walked over to Mike's. They went above and beyond to cook their fries in fresh separate oil and Italian Beef with cheese sans the bun. So delicious and appreciate their extra care! Chef mentioned they may be adding gf buns as well. The regular meals were loved too. Great food and great service!
Poke Burrito has an inviting atmosphere. It is cozy with nice mood lighting and has beautiful accents. The food is delicious and served in generous portions. The public your own bowl or burrito options offers numerous choices for toppings and proteins. You can add multiple sauces and unlimited toppings. They also have spaces to indicate special attention to gluten allergies.
Only place I can find the Imperial Stout by Ground Breaking brewery, which is the only Gluten Free stout I can find period. The atmosphere is also super nice!
I visited Bonita Bowl again today to give it another try, and it was exceptional! I ordered a smoothie bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. I have a gluten allergy, and they were very accommodating, which I greatly appreciated. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was high quality, and the taste was excellent.
During my first visit, it was clear they were still finding their footing as a brand-new business, and unfortunately, the food wasn’t great that day. However, the owner responded to my original review and offered to make it right—and I’m so glad I took them up on it!
The food today completely changed my experience, and I’ll definitely be returning. They’re right around the corner from my chiropractor, so this will be the perfect stop for lunch afterward.
Highly recommend the smoothie bowls—delicious and fresh!
It was wonderful! My friend was having her 40th birthday there. We were able to bring a cake as well. We shared appetizers of zucchini fries, calamari, and meatballs. We also got a mushroom pizza to share. Then we each had an entree. Four of us had the salmon salad, one of the ladies had special of the day which was a Chilean Bass, and the other two had the Scottish salmon. The birthday girl had to substitute the pasta for polenta because she is gluten free. She loved the substitute, and everything was so good! The view was awesome as well. The whole restaurant is gorgeous no matter where you sit. I plan to go back as well on my own. Thank you so much fire + wine!
